Noob moment? I always thought when Guardians did this ■■■ they are thinking about something or a speach bubble.
Now I realized they are checking their inventory lol. When Dark below came out I never understood what exotic shards were. Lol

4 OdpowiedziI just found out about different sized orbs a few days ago! I always thought difficulty level determined how charged your super got from orbs.

First VOG run I ever did, at atheon and one teammate is explaining how to do the fight. Teammate: OK, closest 3 get teleported and have to shoot oracles inside and one of the three picks up the relic. Me: I'll just stay outside then. Teammate: alright make sure u stand on the corresponding plate that we tell you while we're inside to open the teleporter. [b]And make sure you stay on top of the black box thing in the middle of the plate at all times while we're inside.[/b] Me: Why?! Teammates: so the supplicants don't blow u up. Me:(confused, and also thinking that the "supplicants" were a different vex enemy entirely) OK🤔 We start the fight and it was smooth until... Teammate: alright were on Mars, stand on the left plate and stay up high. I proceed to the plate and stand on it and the portal opens then I see the three "harpies" spawn. They come to me, and with me thinking that supplicants are a different enemy and me being stupid and not reading their name above them, I engage in a gun fight and... Me:Portals open! I'm just going to kill these harpies...wait OH SH*T...GUARDIAN down!

Thinking that when in PvE that your friends saw the same heavy ammo on the ground and telling them to bleep off because you need it more but they walk over it giving you a mini heart attack

I swore up and down you could go prone during vanilla destiny. I damn near broke my crouch button trying to prove my friends wrong lol

In Vanilla Destiny I had a 30 Light helmet and Chestplate, but I thought for sure that 30 Light on my Armamentarium was actually higher than 30 Light on my Helm of Inmost Light. I dismantled my Helmet, got a full set of VoG armor except for the helmet, and then I couldn't finish Hard Mode. All I needed to be Level 30 was that Helmet I dismantled. Didn't hit 30 until after TDB.

For the longest time I didn't even read the actual effects of the perks in the subclass skilltrees. Once they were fully leveled I would just select everything in the bottom row because I thought thats where the best stats were. Took The Taken King and the difference between the smoke bombs for Nightstalker for me to realize the difference

3 OdpowiedziI thought sunsingers dropped orbs as soon as they popped their super like defenders do. I was in a CE raid one day and told this sunsinger to pop his super. He told me nothing would happen but I still persisted. That was when I was still a three hunter scrub so I had absolutely no idea.

1 OdpowiedźI would always sprint for engrams when I would see them drop because I thought someone else might take it. I would also get confused why I wasn't getting extra motes of light when I picked up orbs of light.

13 OdpowiedziIf you crouch behind some waist high wall/cover then when you press left trigger to aim, you stand back up and aim. When you let go of left trigger you automatically crouch behind the cover again. I have known this for ages now but always forget to use it in the game.

8 OdpowiedziI have several major noob moments. One that directly led me to quitting Destiny until about two months before TTK happened. I had commitment issues to the Sepiks Prime Strike way back in Vanilla, before HoW and DB. I at first thought you could just join it solo like regular missions and then just team up inside to take down the boss without any team commitment, but then I panicked when the Sepiks strike kept searching for teammates. I kept canceling it and even googling up how to try and do the strike without having to get on a team and possibly disappoint them. I couldn't even continue since I needed to get that Strike done, so I grinded the Earth Patrol and earlier missions long enough, then finally bit the bullet and joined my first ever Sepiks strike. Sadly, I was the highest level teammate instead of the lowest like I feared, but the lowbies apparently knew what to do better than I. Also, I first believed Thunderlord was a possible drop from the first Fallen boss (the one that popped out of the hole in the wall) due to false info really early on (based on the early preview of Thunderlord dropping after killing that boss), and I literally spent hours farming him only to get squat. Eventually quit Destiny from frustration at the lack of any Exotics despite hours of grinding missions and regular strikes, and didn't even realize that even if I was a bit undergeared, I could join the Heroic strikes and missions for Strange Coins. I quit the game with a grand total of 5 Strange Coins and zero Exotics, though only after I finished the main story up to the Black Garden and gave up on ever finding a VoG group for several reasons. In fact, my first ever Exotic was Thunderlord, and only gained using the 9 Strange Coins granted to all players about two weeks before TTK, when I actually returned. I also didn't care about Gjallarhorn, which showed up the following week, even though I had gotten the Strange Coins to buy it too. I didn't get my second Exotic until TTK happened, and that was a Y1 Monte Carlo from the troll Engram given. Indeed, I've only begun to get Exotics after TTK, with the changes made to Strange Coin rewards. It's kind of hilarious and sad now that I look back on it.

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika Richie: 5/11/2016 10:07:19 AMXur selling Ghorn in Y1 week 2 and literally hovering over the gun and saying to myself oh great now everyone is going to be using the same gun, because back then when the game came out I didn't understand Xur and my mentality was oh great nobody is going to look unique they're all going to be using the same gun, and then Ghorn went on to be probably the best gun Destiny will ever have and kicking myself in the ass for not buying it

I didn't know the "&" (and symbol) had an actual name. It's called an ampersand. I learned this from family guy... Which is sad cause he was degrading the getto kids class he thought. I'm over 24, have a bachelor's, and feel...mocked. By a dog. I want my ice cream in my gallon tub...

first nightfall reward: judgement/shotpackage/hammerforged/return to sender. didnt takr it out my vault for 4 months untill i realised i had a shotgun sniper haha. thank god i didnt dismantle it. [spoiler]still have it and all the perks on it got nerfed haha rip.[/spoiler]

Getting a final round sniper and thinking.... What a pointless perk it kills in one shot anyway if I get an headshot what's the point in extra damage??
