Whenever someone is trying to have a discussion about something that needs to be nerfed/buffed, there's always that person who goes "Your k/d is.......". Is that the universal response for people who lack the intelligence to hold a legit conversation about things that need fixing?

1 OdpowiedźLet's be honest, matchmaking is a joke, so it doesn't mean a thing. The servers are also shit, which favours whoever's furthest away from the host. The net code is also terrible, which makes cover pointless. Party's of are 6 allowed to compete against solo players, which makes any argument null and void. "Test your strength in the Iron Banner" Yeah right!
-
You have to overcompensate somehow why not k/d (most are little trolls who never see sunlight anyway sooooooooo)

4 OdpowiedziBecause top tier players usually have logical opinions/assumptions and crap players usually have stupid non-logical opinions. I see it all the time, i almost feel like a win most debates/arguments by default.

1 OdpowiedźBecause low kd's = noob Basically their just calling people out to get better cause they don't have the thumbs to combat people who are on a different tier, who are considered no lives who play this game 24/7 and usually stomp out casual people, usually most of those people are asses who still pray to the bungie that thorn gets brought back.
Personally I'd kill myself if that dumb piece of shit weapon gets brought back. I recently bought that stupid -blam!-ing piece of shit good for nothing broken gun because I was facing a team who was being ass wholes in salvage using that -blam!-ing gun and to top it off I couldn't connect to them very well so it was even worse. But back to me buying it and using it after it was nerfed again I nearly go on a ten kill streak while -blam!-ing eating dinner and watching a youtube video spamming my bullets into walls around every corner despite what I mentioned above. If that -blam!-ing gun gets brought back and gets any kind of buff to it I'm going to lose my shit and nothing else would be worth using in pvp, not mida not zhalo, no suros, no first curse cause the gun is AIDS
Edytowany przez użytkownika Kone19ps: 5/16/2016 3:13:49 PMThey have run out of brain power to actually discuss an issue so they use it as an excuse to end a conversation or never have one. I have never once cared about KD. That means I have 8 matches in a row running around like a mad man with test weapons at a 0.5. Iron banner comes out I'll have four 2.5s in a row from actually trying and my kd being artificially low. Next day I'm back to 0.5 trying to get blink strike kills ignoring everything else for a quest. Then back up when I decide to try the vendor hawksaw. Back down against when I get bored a try a an old year 1 handcannon. It's like using someone's death count on the dark beyond to make fun of them. No shit the whole point of dropping there is to die again and again. Not even mentioning year one where afk had no consequence and I'd tap my controller with my foot while doing homework since winning didn't and still doesn't matter. My kd will never recover from that. I solo as well meaning I can't rely on a team communicating to boost my KD and I'm subject to the will of rng

It measures the amount of Kilos of Dicks they've sucked

2 OdpowiedziIn my opinion if someone insults your argument with thinks like "git gud" or your using it wrong and have .9 K/D then they have no business insulting in the first place. Sometimes casuals jump into these discussion and act like they know what they're talking about when really they do not. For example if I post a weapon buff post and someone says the gun is fine because they had 3 or 4 good games with it while having a low K/D, then those were just good games in a plethora of bad games.

10 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika USMCRUNNER0411: 5/9/2016 12:35:37 PMK\D in Destiny really doesn't prove anything. There are FAR too many different variables involved that can / do make it seem as if somebody is better / worse then they actually are. 1.) Unbalanced matches, often times I'm (and I'm sure is the case with many) put on a team with other players who simply don't work well at all together. When you're on teams that don't work together it doesn't matter so much how good you are. You will very often find yourself outgunned and mowed down by the other teams when you are solo and they are in a group / groups. I often will get kills only to get killed immediately afterwords because nobody else on my team is around for backup. Having a good team makes a HUGE difference. On the contrary, you may very well end up often playing against other players who are simply terrible making it seem by virtue of your "K/D" that you are awesome. There is A LOT of luck in this game. A LOT. 2.) Knowledge, simply understanding what weapons / gear / character works the best for you individually plays a massive role in how successes / unsuccessful you will be in PVP. So you can in reality be great and still end up with a crappy K/D simply because you aren't equipped with the optimal set-up. Again too many variables here for K/D to mean anything. 3.) Characters in general, Warlocks, Titans and Hunters.. Now I know its not intentional but no way in hell are these characters somehow on an "equal playing field". Yes all have their strengths / weaknesses but there are CLEARLY things that can be done by each class to various degrees that makes any semblance of "fairness" go out the window. There are other variables as well but the point I think is pretty clear to any thinking person meaning K/D may be fun to talk about but the reality is that it means very little in this game. Just have fun and play. Worrying about a K/D that doesn't really represent anything of substance doesn't make sense.

2 OdpowiedziI think it's mostly because they don't have valid counterpoints to an argument so they go to the kd
-
1 OdpowiedźPeople cannot use KD as a measurement in destiny as you could In halo because halo Is based completely of skill and destiny is mostly based off of who has the better weapon.

3 OdpowiedziI have a top 10% k/d and top 5% k/d/a. I unlinked my account because, no matter the subject, my poor trials k/d was always brought up in an attempt to discredit my opinion.

Because they are idiots.

Bruh...my KD tho...
-
Ad hominem, most people don't call it when they see it so people get away with insulting the player rather than addressing the argument.

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika Sol 5olis Deus: 5/12/2016 3:42:45 PMIt's a way for people to throw an insult at you rather than making a valid point at their end of the debate. I've told someone that they had a good team comp and they should to Trails of Osiris because I'd believe that they'll make it flawless. They just argued with me that one of their teammates were bad and that I should not have an opinion because of my "elo". To this day I still don't know what that means.
-
It's because they have nothing substantial to add or say so rather than loose the argument, they try to punch you below the belt.
-
I've even seen people try to bring up PVE kd. Yeah. You read that right.
-
Maybe if they had ranked games then people can say they have "skill" and they're "better" at this game. Too many tryhards in regular pvp and it isn't fun anymore. Not to mention lagg.
-
2 Odpowiedzibecause it is a default when they can't win a real argument. Meta bums will often use it as a bragging point even though the stats they would brag about would drop dramatically if they weren't using the "meta" and used something they actually like for liking it rather than liking the results alone. Frankly if stats are all you care about your not a gamer as you have lost sight of what a game is supposed to be...fun.

It's so they think that you're argument is invalid even though it's been proven by almost everyone in the community.
