Did bungie nerf the sunbreaker too hard or is it exaggerated by people? Did bungie bring down Titans once again?
No hate thread. Just curious about what people think about it.

As I titan main, I felt that a nerf was needed because I used to be able to wreck entire teams, but I felt like the only nerf that was needed was an armor reduction. Nothing else needed to be changed. Now you can throw a hammer right at a guys foot and they take little if no damage from the explosion. Plus the hammers travel so freaking slow you can simply walk away from it if its coming towards you. I dont even use the subclass no more, not even in pvp. Here's a video showing how useless the class is now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpR4EqQ0gBQ

No, people are comparing it to when it was OP and then think it's broken now because they're not unstoppable killing machines anymore.

1 OdpowiedźYeah #makesunbreakrgreatagain

1 OdpowiedźThey nerfed it because the Warlocks cried like babies. Now they can float around like the fairies they are for 15+ seconds with that stupid lightning. Once their lightning it gone, time to hide again until their super is up again.

7 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika KannibalKlown: 4/20/2016 12:55:05 PMHard to say... Just before the nerf, there was a bug that Sunbreaker could fire WAY more hammers than made sense. I think there was a Youtube video of some guy chucking 40 or 50 of them with 1 activation. All-the-while, this was back when the hammers hit HARD and tracked. Compared to THAT... then yes. It was greatly reduced... but really I'd called it "fixed" instead of "nerfed" Compared to how Bungie wanted it to really work? Hard to say... since even if you weren't trying on purpose you might have been throwing more hammers than what Bungie wanted. Over-correcting is common in MMO-style games. So it's sometimes hard to know if it was just an over-reaction / over-correction or what the company really wanted it to be without the bug(s)

1 OdpowiedźA little bit underpowered to me but it's still one of the best
-
Bungie did weaken the damage made by the Hammer of Sol 'cause people thought they were too OP. Bad thing is, there's not many Titans compared to the two other classes.

13 OdpowiedziBungie didn't destroy them Hunters did!
-
I think the armor nerf was needed, the tracking, explosion size, and cauterize weren't
-
Definitely not. The Sunbreaker is a great subclass.
-
No its fair now like other supers Still very powerful but not op
-
This is bungie: hmm there is This new super Called sunbreaker for the titan that made the titans not -blam!-ing dog shit and everyone is complaining hmm should we make the sunbreaker dog shit? Hmm yeah lets Do It!
-
1 OdpowiedźI still hit most of my throws. I just stopped using flameseeker and cauterize and went for a max sunspot build.
-
3 OdpowiedziAll the titans are just complaining because their super no longer makes them a completely indestructible God, and it actually requires a little bit of skill to use now. I say a little bit. Because alot of people in crucible are still scared out of their boots by the sound of a HoS titan, they still flee like cockroaches. Also, anybody who says it's "easy to dodge hammers now". Not for a warlock with glide it isnt. Lol
-
7 OdpowiedziI honestly think if they fixed the hit detection with the hammers and if we could use simmering flames and cauterize together it would be a lot better, if warlocks can have near unlimited self healing grenades why can't Titans?
-
This is coming from a warlock main, and warlocks are fine tbh. But they need to buff hammers just a bit. And makes blade dancers stab, connect. Again, this is coming from a warlock main. Shocker, I know...
-
I think it's actually balanced, but they do need to fix the hammer a little bit cause I'll hit someone directly and they take no damage
-
Seeing as how they never had neutral game from the start, yeah. Weak in super, weak outside of super.
-
It's not that bad, but it's definitely not as good. Perhaps a small small armor buff but that's all I could see.
-
1 OdpowiedźNo, been playing my sunbreaker quite a bit recently I think it's great at least for pvp. Very balanced
-
4 OdpowiedziI think people just exaggerate it, i like to do crucible with my friends and we still go like"-blam!- hammers! Who has hammers? Please tell me its on our side!" When we hear the anvil
-
7 OdpowiedziTracking was bad. Made worse so it doesn't even f###### work Explosive pyre only procs on phantom kills Healing is borderline useless in pvp and pve. Simmering flames is useless unless it's mayhem. Fire keeper just sucks ass Thermite grenades still suck Extra speed is useless Forge master became useless Suncharges hit detection is just as bad as bladedancer And finally, the armor on the TANK CLASS WAS REDUCED!
-
The neutral game is garbage (it already was before the nerf, just felt like that needed to be said). As for the super, the hammers hit like Fisher Price toys, I think the blast radius needs a buff. I've hit people dead on and almost no damage will be dealt.
-
If your good with it it doesn't matter as much

1 OdpowiedźIt can still get multi-kills but have to work a bit harder for it compared to our Warlock counterparts, though a lot easier compared to our Hunter brethren (Bladedancer). You have to use Sun Charge. It covers a large distance rather fast and the hit detection usually is better than Blade dancers (lately anyways). It's great for clearly control spots. Two games in a row I crushed the opposition and their own supers taking their point. They did screw up hit detection royally with the proximity for its detonation. So often I can peg a guy and they take minimum damage with the hammer exploding right at their head. Damn annoying. Hence why one must use Sun Charge. I still believe they need to increase the damage on Sunspots and Explosive Pyre (on top of Pyre's range) back to what they used to be. For a class built around it's super they hammered everything that made it strong down into the dirt. As many stated they just needed to fix Cauterize (which they did) and armor.

No, the community did.
