All you need to do to get a 1.0 k/d in a match is to get the same amount of kills as deaths, it ain't that hard.
I know why everyone's calling me bad at math, I'm talking about how to get a 1.0 k/d in a match, I wasn't talking about your average.

1 OdpowiedźConfirmed proof that pvp players have brought down the collective IQ... Smh

No, you don't understand. I suck. Like, I really suck.

8 OdpowiedziYou aren't the sharpest knife in the drawer, are you? Unless every game ended in a draw, someone would have to be positive / negative. PSA - Stay in school kids.

It's just math. For there to be exceptional players that have over 1.0+ KD there must be some that fall under. If everyone has a 1.0 KD....than everyone would have a 1.0 KD Some people are just better than others at a particular game.
-
It's super easy lol
-
2 OdpowiedziYou must not understand how things work then. In order for someone to have a positive k/d above 1.00, someone else must have a negative k/d under 1.00. The only way for anyone/everyone to be positive is if everyone is at 1.00, but that won't happen. There will always be people who are better at something, or you're having a bad day, or some other reason, but the fact is people will always be either positive or negative.
-
It is impossible for everyone to be above 1.0. For every kill, there is a death. If anything, the median kd is probably below 1.0 due to falling off cliffs etc.
-
Yes it is when everyone is sweaty and don't play for fun. :/
-
K/D doesn't really matter. If you go on 3 5 kill streaks and die 15 times you've gained more points than you've given up. Sometimes you're just there to screw around with weapons and such. Unless I'm in a fireteam with friends I don't take the crucible too seriously.
-
For every kill there must be a death. Therefore the universal kd is a 1.00 so when some have a positive kd that means some must be negative. Also because of suicides that makes more deaths than kills. The universal kd is below 1.0
-
You aren't really doing much for the team by trading kills, or just staying at a 1.0 K/D. You take what you give, and you're more of an asset if you get more kills than deaths. That's why people care about K/D.

4 OdpowiedziI've played much better on my titan lately, but I'll always say this to argue for the sub 1 KD side... You can start off any mode incredibly. But there always seems to be that run where you just get hit hard, either trying to get the objective or just bad luck. Killed by different supers... enemies spawning at your back... getting sniped quick... etc etc etc. Getting res sniped while playing with randoms has shown to be detrimental to my KD.
-
13 OdpowiedziBecause k/d doesn't matter, it doesn't measure your skill in any way. I could have a low k/d and be good at the game. I want to have fun and dick around with friends

Your gamertag is surprisingly fitting for this post... [][][]

Super hard ;)

2 OdpowiedziI love these threads because of the usual "I don't care about my k/d" and they still replied
-
Well, for me it was pretty damn hard to grind myself to a 1+kd, when I started playing I was crap and like a 0,7kd. I played tons of matches running around like a headless chicken getting killed all the time(I can't believe I went unbroken that one game in the beginning, doing the Thorn Bounty) After watching youtube videos and alot of practicing I finally got the hang of it and have reached 1,2 something. From there it gets harder to raise it since I've plowed down 500+hours in the crucible...

Shhh guy, I love preying on the people that jump into the neutral zone

I have 1 character where I care about kd the other 2 idc about as I like to mess around with old guns and bad guns

2 OdpowiedziI'd assume most people play for fun and understand that because it's a video game it holds no real significance... Or they just don't give a -blam!- lol. I say play for fun or don't even bother playing.
-
It depends... If you play with randoms 95% of the time... If you complete all the Crucible quests... If you do Crucible quest lines for exotics... If Bungie has a terrible habit of dropping you into a losing team with 2 minutes left in the match - losing by thousands... If you get stuck with the AFK scrub that just wants the marks... Then yes.
-
I play because it is a fun game. I dont care about my k/d because some of the funniest things ive ever done have come from matches when ive gotten like a 0.13 k/d. If u actually care this much about other people being just like u, there are medications for that. It's a game, and that's what i intend to treat it as.
-
My k/d are all about 1. I provide far more assists than actual kills. Does this make me an average player. I don't think so. Generally ppl with high k/d tend to camp or ignore objectives. In terms of trials if you have a trial team that you run with every weekend and your all good then it's gonna be a lot easier than say someone like me who relies on randoms being good. I could do the whole trials report nonsense but I could care less really. Enjoyment comes first for me. I'll go flawless when it happens so that's my opinion. Don't just Base your team on k/d
-
I'm the kind of player that will dive into the guys collecting Heavy. Either I'll eat a Rocket or I'll take out the entire group. Either way my goal is to keep the other team from having an advantage. So with that in mind if my K/D suffers my goal is to win the match and have fun opposed to "worrying" about my K/D. Will I ever be a Trials Master? Nope, but I do hit rank 5 every week in IB on all 3 characters since TTK has dropped. Well except Rift month. I don't like Rift.

1 OdpowiedźWhile I prefer to enjoy the PVE side of the house.....when I do venture re into the crucible arena I try and keep my K/D nice and low in order to let you feel good about your high positive K/D. Merry Christmas....and you're welcome! Have a super day.
