Bungie, you said on the stream that the reason you don't seperate PvP and PvE stats are because our guardian is our guardian everywhere we go. Part of Bungie's design philosophy is to make sure that weapons work the same no matter the activity.
If this is so, then why are all your balance changes based solely on PvP usage of the weapons?
Surely if part of your design philosophy is to ensure en equal experience across playmodes, then why do you not take into account how the guns are used in PvE when making your decisions.
MIDA for example - was nerfed solely because it was "overused" (according to Bungie) in PvP. So you take away the knockback / stagger and in doing so destroy the weapon's usefulness in PvE. It will now underperform any number of legendary scouts which do not take up the exotic slot.
If you're going to use parity between PvP and PvE as an excuse, then you should make sure that your metrics collection and playtesting play by those same rules. It's clear that as of today, they do not.

5 OdpowiedziRemember when they ADDED the HC ability on MIDA back in the first Exotic Tuning update because of how underused it was? Now it's gonna go right back into the Underused Pile bargain bin at your local McXur's.

1 OdpowiedźHonestly I could care less, and if you use Mida for PVE you are doing it wrong, in my opinion of course haha. The only cop out I got out of their stream was the complete unwillingness to mess with forebolt grenades. Their excuse of it being "complicated" is a cop out. It's really simple. Make it so it burns for 1-2 seconds less. End of story, problem solved, moving on.

Another weapon balance? Lol so ridiculous. this has become a regular thing now. every couple months another weapon balance lol something that should have been figured out in the beta. almost 2 years and still cant get it right? And the funny thing is every time, the majority of players are unhappy with the changes. Bungie has to be one of the only companies that actually does the opposite of what its fanbase/customers want. Now i understand all the hate for deejay and the rest. You guys are all morons.

4 OdpowiedziBro i agree 100%. They are weaking guardians each update. Just like the Supers. I made a warlock because last update Bungie nerf Hunters to the point were baldedancer is useless in pve. No problem i can adapt. So i made a warlock.....Now Bungie is doing the same to Warlocks. Bungie stop Fu×#king with SUPERS!!! They are suppose 2 be OP. Stop listening to everybody and leave the game as is or give me my Fu#!king money back!!! Im tired of this sh#t yo seriously

I agree, the update is bad

2 OdpowiedziI gotta say after reading the patch notes the whole special ammo inventory storage nerf is gonna really affect PvE. In certain situations (raid bosses) I tend to run low/out of sniper ammo when its really needed. The nerf for PvP purposes will now make certain PvE situations possibly more difficult if we're losing 5-7 extra rounds when ammo isn't easy found on the ground.

2 OdpowiedziWait didn't they biff shotgun range in pve around jan 2015?
-
3 OdpowiedziYup, they removed the only reason to use MIDA in PvE.
-
8 OdpowiedziWell said. I believe staggering rounds were added to MIDA for PvE. Now they have removed it due to "overuse" in PvP. Neither addition or subtraction of this was considered for both PvE and PvP as far as I see from this.
-
Instead of nerf, buff. Simple.

5 OdpowiedziThey also showed the graph and said that's around the time we brought mida to year two, and the graph spikes, so now we're nerfing it because everyone is using it. No shit Bungie, you brought it to year two and now people are using it. Or when they said the 1000 yard stare is easily aquirable through a quest then showed another graph and said, we're nerfing it because everyone is using it. Again no shit Bungie, it's aquirable through a quest so of course everyone is using it. Bungie's logic is flawed, seriously flawed.

The only issue you have any ground to complain about is the staggering being removed for PvP and consequentially PvE. Whether that will make it useless is up for debate but at the end of the day they could have solved it regardless. I'm saying they could have changed the staggering to affect minions of the darkness only. The problem is that it's a bigger task than we probably realize. Not to mention their design goals fly in the face of things like that, as much as it may not bother those of us who could handle it. Most of the studio is spread between destiny 2 the upcoming expansion and the live team for this game. Which we really only have the live team working on the game. With the exception of a few others who are floating in-between projects unless they too are part of the live team. I'd suggest everyone lower expectations considering the above. The game isn't getting full developer support.

Nice example. I've been humming this tune from the beginning but you gave it lyrics. Great job.
-
Not my idea, adding a perk to Mida that "staggers minions of the darkness" would be a good way to keep it unchanged for PVE.
-
I used mida before it was cool.
-
It's easier to nerf 1 weapon than bring everything else up to par. It is a cop out, I know. It's not a step towards the right direction. I do welcome the slight buffs in other weapons though, including Hawkmoon. They should have left Mida alone.

this 100%

1 OdpowiedźGhally. Black hammer. These were modified because of PVE not PVP. So they don't change weapons only because of PVP
-
1 Odpowiedźbut if PVP and PVE are supposed to feel the same why are some perks on gear limited to PVE encounters, or minions of darkness alone??? this alone makes weapons preform differently in PVP to begin with since some players get only PVP perks on gear, while other players might have PVE perks making their guns feel and work completely different??? thus making bungies statement immediately false due to the differences??? +-+ InfinitySerpent >:(

Super excited about the change in weapon amo drops in pvp. Heavy weapons and super use is not very fun in pvp. I like a good old fashion gun fight. It sucks to be capturing a control point and get nova bombed or titan slammed out of no where. I love doing it. Honestly it does not make the game fun when it should be about skill.

22 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Folk: 4/7/2016 2:21:52 PMNobody plays PVE man. If you only play PVE in this game, how can you honestly stand it for this long. You can't seriously tell me you come back every week to do shitty nightfalls and a shit raid in which the main antagonist is never fought and just floats around the arena while you battle broken mechanics. ^if this is you.... Stop playing.

I only ever used MIDA with the speed boost so I can run sonic fast. I dislike scouts in pvp but I used MIDA to run fast so it doesn't affect the way I use it anyway
