4 OdpowiedziReligion is the "why?" of all and science is the "how?" of all

5 OdpowiedziScience stops at the big bang. There is no creditable theory for before it. I look to science for my answers but also have to agree that something supernatural that we knew nothing about started it all off.

People who actually legitimately do this will almost certainly not be religious.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Senor Crouch: 4/7/2016 4:49:58 AMA complex thought with only simple answers? I have selected other. The path to true knowledge lies in so many elements that are not necessarily included in either the answer of "Religion" or "Science". While both are needed, it goes well beyond that. To go down that path and be successful one must have true curiosity, extreme discipline, strong sense of morals, an understanding of love, total humility, and the ability to deny yourself. These elements are the most important when attempting this feat. Lacking in any one of these would most likely result in horrible destruction of varying magnitudes. To give some insight on what I mean by this is let's say you discover something that is earth shattering and game changing. Fame, fortune, and power enter swiftly followed closely by the taint of corruption and the death of curiosity. The barriers of humility, discipline, and self-denial would keep you immune to that self-erosion. Another example, you are on the verge of discovering something big. It is the moment you've been waiting for all your life, the only problem is that the proven method requires the elimination of a certain number of people. You could try to find an alternative method but that could take another decade or so. The barriers of morals, love, and humility would guide you away from such a destructive process.

The path to true knowledge is the path you take. Both religion and science are synonymous in the way that they seek knowledge in specific subjects. Religion dealing with human nature and the human condition, and science dealing with the universe and the world around us.

Edytowany przez użytkownika LowIQPlayz3445: 4/7/2016 4:21:48 AMI think deep spiritual meditation can result in new found knowledge and ideas. Doesn't have to be attached to a specific religion. If we relied totally on science, we'd be robots.
