I have a girl problem.
I need help. Here we go. [b]FULL DISCLAIMER: [/b] I am not doing toast envelope you lovely -blam!-s. Also I'm replacing names and locations.
So my best friend(or one of my best at least), Jared, has been dating this girl for a year. Now, my friend is a solid 5/10 so initially seeing her(Sarah) I wondered why he's somehow landed an 8. Again, a year ago. I had never met her then and had only heard good things about her.
Skip forward about 9 months and I come across her number. Homeboy btw is insecure and thinks we will try to take his girlfriend, so he tries to avoid us when she's about. We have a group message of our group of friends and I add her to it(to Jared's dismay). We find that she is hilarious. Down to tease him with us(he's easy to get to) and generally funny.
Skip to this weekend. We have met a couple of times, some small talk, nothing much. Me and her and a couple other friends(Steve and Nate) are in our school orchestra program(she's in a higher ensemble). The thing is that we went on a trip to Anaheim(we're from Topeka) and Jared isn't coming(not in the program). So me, her, and the other two guys start hanging out over the weekend. She's as cool as she appears. We end up talking a lot and here's my problem;[b][i][u]I'm hooked[/u][/i][/b]. She's the most spectacular girl I think I've met, even personality wise.
We flirted a lot. And I mean a lot. And in a pretty serious manner. And I'm not proud of it in my soul somewhere, but it feeds that desire, you know? I'm scared that she started catching feelings too and that I could derail a relationship and then not start a new one due to old bridges I don't want to burn? Do I ball it up and forget? Tell her? Tell him?

I went on a school trip with my best friend's girlfriend and I caught feelings. I think she might've too. I don't know how to move forward. Please help.
Btw we're Juniors in High School. So take that into account.
Edit: Thanks for the advice everyone. I think I've made a decision. I'll friendzone myself till collapse and make sure it's okay before I try. Hell, I've escaped the friendzone twice; third times a charm. I'll probably tell Jared though.
Edit 2: I've friendzoned myself and he's starting to be afraid of me pls halp
UPDATE: I backed off and she confirmed she felt the same way but not strong enough to end it(nor did I want her to he's a great friend). Just in case anyone wanted to know.
