I guess in theory someone could buy gear until he gets "perfect rolls", but since you can't preview the stats that's not financially viable even for whales. Edit: apparently the cosmetic armor just takes on the stats of your infusion fuel. Yeah, not worried.

More like pay-to-not-waste-time. It's basically for people who don't want to wait every week to get them for free

1 OdpowiedźIs it currently pay to win, No. However with EVERY SINGLE update and event paying is becoming a much better and appealing choice. The problem is that it shows before long it will be pay to win
-
1 OdpowiedźYou're an idiot. Ever verse can only accepts real world currency.
-
8 OdpowiedziNope light 3 Equipment is not P2W. LOL Now if they were selling 260+ gear, then it would bother me! I mean Sony already signed up for the P2W gear. Just needs to stop if XBOX and PS ever get to crossplay! Would enjoy playing with some PS co-workers instead of just talking g about Destiny in the breakroom! LOL

1 OdpowiedźIt's not the armor that's pay to win in the rep boosters.
-
9 OdpowiedziYeah, it's pay to win. But if you intend to pay for god roll equipment all power to you. Cause you will be paying real cash to reroll gear. Rerolling that can change what item you get. Expect to pay out the a $$ if that is what you're looking to do.
-
3 OdpowiedziEven if it was, it's only armor. There are no special perks, and all gear can be obtained by playing. The perks on the gear will hardly make a difference.
-
No, it's pay to get more gear
-
1 OdpowiedźNo bc sterling will only give 3 light

An overwhelming vote for no on the saltiest forums on Earth, full of people who would like nothing more than to call Destiny "Pay To Win." I think it's very clear that there's no paying to win in Destiny.
-
Its getting there. Once Destiny 2 releases the fans will have been brainwashed enough that they wont even remember Destiny without pay to win and they'll enjoy it. My eyes opened to Bungies bullshit with this game and now i feel disgusting for even thinking of trying to play it. But this is just the opinion of someone who played for more than a year and realized what Bungie is about and how the gam has changed cause of it. Also this community is full of shitty people

6 OdpowiedziNo, but it already cross the line by a tiny bit.
i can't wait to buy my god roll sniper from everse by e light and infuse it straight to 335 light
-
1 OdpowiedźI tried to just win the items from Eververse by doing all my best dance moves in front of Tess, didn't get a thing from Eververse. Eventually I just paid silver and I won all her stocks. So yes, Eververse is pay to win, if you don't pay then you'll get nothing from her
-
Pay-to-look-like-you-win, yes. :)
-
Pay to look good yeah
-
1 OdpowiedźI hope so. After ds3 and division on the 12th I won't be playing destiny til like June so I'd love to just buy everything I didn't get.
-
7 OdpowiedziIt's not pay-to-win. It IS about as close to pay-to-win as you can get, without crossing the line.
-
I hope it is one day.
-
No, you're welcome. You can shut the poll down now. ~TheShittyBrogue

1 OdpowiedźIt's getting closer. But the armor everyone is talking about ain't the problem. The problem is the rep boost you can get, and from there you can get the new weapons. So you are paying for a bigger chance to get the new weapons. Ergo, as close you as you can get to p2w without actually p2w.

4 OdpowiedziClash of Clans is pay to win
-
2 OdpowiedziThe 17% voting yes are either trolls or individuals who simply have no understanding of p2w
-
1 OdpowiedźPeople still wouldn't call it pay to win if it sold weapon customization that let you select what perks you wanted on applicable legendaries. Feel free to disagree with me.
-
You just have to look at the meaning of pay to win to realize its not what it is Pay to win- buying an item that gives an immediate advantage over others earned in game
