Unless Venus exists in the sword realm.... No.

I'd assume it is like this... All of the fallen have aspects of the traveller already, you can see that in the fact some of them can blink, etc. The vanishing into dust part is either in game mechanics or doesn't matter because although they don't have ghosts the higher ranked up fallen have found a way to cheat death. Archon priests for instance may be able to cheat death similar to how the most powerful warlocks found a way to self res. Remember that in game your character is the first to be able to truly harness the light and channel all 3 aspects. We as of yet do not know what gifts the fallen got before the traveller left them behind.

Maybe it's not Aksor

2 OdpowiedziCheck out my destiny montage! Let me know what you guys think http://youtu.be/L8_DCqd13CU http://youtu.be/L8_DCqd13CU

I'll go off a theory I read about destiny... Each time we launch a mission/Raid/Strike/POE we play through the events in a different version of that event that constantly repeats itself in an endless time loop that isn't completed until the next DLC
-
You expect any of this shit to make any sense?
-
After one completion that's the real event. Afterwards they become training exercises. Think of the danger room from X-Men.
-
We killed the Archon, yeessss? But, what if the archon is from a different house? So from there it is kill or be killed.
-
Because it's a video game
-
I think of it like this, We did kill the Archon however when we the player initiate the strike again it is simply a retelling of the event or a simulation of the encounter to improve yourself (the guardian). As for the taken remix, it is not as complicated as many would make it out to be. Bungie just seems to be making some old strikes relevant to do, I love devil's lair and Nexus but there is no point in doing them because of the challenges and rewards they offer. BUT let's just say they wanted to nudge in a bit of continuity. I can hear cyade now on the comms saying.
"you know that priest that got 86'ed? Yeah he ain't dead or he is? Anyway we caught him digging around for something so kill him again and nab any treasure you may find"
-
The same reason for why we can kill Oryx every Tuesday.

3 OdpowiedziPerhaps this is an alternate version that could have happened in the timeline, or as others have said, maybe oryx could reanimate dead bodies? Although we never saw that in action though. All prior taken were living hosts.
-
Remember, there are seven universes in destiny ;)
-
All strike bosses still live in alternate realities. Destiny follow the same idea as dark souls: there are many deferent timelines where some thing happen and other thing don't. In that timeline Aksor may not be dead yet that why he is taken.

1 OdpowiedźHow can we see if our eyes aren't real?
-
Maybe archons have self-res.
-
Maybe, while we travel into the strike, someone will explain that, who knows
-
1 OdpowiedźWell with that logic, how can you replay any strike that you've already beaten. Some things just aren't going to make sense. Just go with the flow and shoot the baddies in front of you.
-
How do we keep running strikes and raids when we've killed that boss already? Logic here won't do you any good lol
-
4 Odpowiedzi1: I'm pretty sure we never new the full strength of oryx's darkness taken power. So he could just bring back any dead body he finds to be taken 2: the more logical explanation is this. This taken version is not part of the story. I mean think about it, we gave been killing Valus Taric throughout all of year 1 and then they decided to update his strike to year 2 and add taken to give it some variety. But even though we have already killed Valus Taric like 1 million times, no one cared back then. They same concept goes for this. Bungie is giving us a strike back from year 1 where we can go kill the archon priest again (even though we've already killed him a ton) but to make it more fun, we have the variety between taken and normal versions

How have I killed oryx more than 20 times? Shouldn't he be dead already? ~TheGreatDC

1 OdpowiedźEasy answer: Destiny doesn't have a story so bungie can so what they want. Slightly more serious answer: Ether is weird and for fallen it seems like they can be "resurrected" if their ether can be captured and returned. In the original strike there's talk of "restoring the archon priest's soul" so technically even after death Oryx could still take a fallen. You could also go with the route that Oryx has taken Vex->Vex do time stuff->Oryx "takes" certain enemies at the moment they dissappear when we "kill" them, thereby creating near infinite posibillites of former enemies he could take.
