I could shoot my Tether, drop my controller, walk out of the room, go get some food, realize that the fridge is empty, drive to the store, get to know a cute girl there, decide that's going to be the woman of my life, marry her, have children, have our children have children, go back into my room and the Tether would still need a couple of minutes to activate.
