Edit 4: Vault of Glass. Oracles. The third oracle on the left, or L3, also known as back left. The Templar also spawns there. This area is the same orientation as the Oryx room. Guardians spawn on one side, Templar spawns on the opposite. Yet the Templar is commonly considered to be at the back as well as those two "hidden" oracles.
Golgoroth. The first orb that everybody uses is the first one on the left (L1) compared to where you enter. Front left. The thrall and acolytes spawn at the back. Same orientation as the Oryx room.
Now all the sudden you get to Oryx and this logic is gone. Just pretend those pads are Golgoroth's orbs. The first one on the left would be front left. But why is the first pad (also known as L1) on the left widely considered the back? And the second one on the left (L2) is now the front? You guys aren't thinking clearly.
Original post: You walk in the room, you are at the front of the room. You move to the opposite end, you are now at the back. I dgaf where Oryx spawns. I am not Oryx. Plus Oryx moves around the room so you can't always call him the front. Its also not the front of the Dreadnaught as you can look out the BACK and see the dreadnaught keeps running out for miles.
Prove me wrong.
Edit: When you play pvp, the enemy team spawns on the other end. Is that end the front or back? It's the back.
Edit 2: "In front of you" and "the front of a room" are two entirely different definitions. The front of the room is always a set area that is always there no matter where you're looking at. It has to do with the architecture (Oryx is not part of the architecture he is a living thing in the game world). Whereas what's in front of you is different depending on which direction you're facing. On a baseball diamond, the back is always on the opposite end as the bat catcher even though its always in front of him. If he were to look behind him or even to the side, the back of the diamond is no longer in front of him, but its still the back of the diamond.
Edit 3: Why is everyone comparing Oryx's room to a classroom or a theatre? It is not either of those. I'm not going in there to learn anything and I'm not going in there to watch a movie. You don't even need to look at Oryx, he is not the focal point. The majority of the time you actually do have to look at him is when hes at the side. Plus he moves all around the room. Last time I checked the screen at the movies didn't move around, and Oryx wasnt a screen that displayed movies for people. If you played the raid from the get-go and had no idea where Oryx spawned, you wouldn't be calling that side the front. You'd be calling the side where you come in the front. And true story: people called entrance side the front before people started calling it the back. You guys only twisted it with flawed logic. Front and back of rooms are based on the architecture (like a movie screen or a chalkboard). No piece of interior architecture in Oryx's room indicates saturn side being the front. The back of a room can still be "in front" of you but that doesn't mean its the front.
Secondly, you can't be looking at the overall ship. We are inside the ship and the ship has rooms. Oryx's room may be the bow but we are still inside. It is a room, there is a ceiling, one wall, and support columns. Rooms have defined fronts and backs. Usually the main entrance is the front, in this case, the only entrance is the front.

WHO GIVES A -blam!- Most people call oryx the Front, so I call it the front to avoid confusion.

2 Odpowiedzi
Is the S silent or the C silent in science?

At a restaurant if your waiting for the waiter to bring your food, doesn't that make you the waiter?
Spawns in the front facing the back. To add: a ship's bow is at the front as it is the forward part of the vessel. You proved yourself wrong.
-
I understand your point, but most of this just depends on perspective...

2 OdpowiedziOp is salad.
did I do that right?
-
You know your wrong this is why your trying so hard. It's ok he spawns at the front. Chill
-
i'm with you! back it is!
-
Oryx at the front all You have to do is walk to where he spawns and see that lil point all ships have a point at the front end of story.
-
I told you 2 days ago and ill tell you again. You're wrong douchebag. Im not gonna sit here and repeat what you have already been told nunerous times. Delete your stupid post and walk away with the tiny bit of credibility you have left

front of the ship.
-
But you are correct.

1 OdpowiedźSomeone else posted this beforehand but the grimoire states that the Death Singer Daughters reside in the bow of the ship, And since the bow is the front, and Oryx is at the very edge of the front of the dreadnaught during the fight, he is in the front. :3 Or I just play, do what I do and kill his ass and I don't care. :)

Oryx feet are so funny

Serouisly

He does spawn at the back

3 OdpowiedziWho cares?

If you walk into a house and turn left to go into the living room, the front of the room is still to the left, were the front of the house is.
-
The entrance to a room is typically the front. So you enter that room and he is in fact in the back. So weird for me when I hear people say the opposite. I guess it's perception. It can make you go cross eyed.
-
I just do what I'm told get the loot we dance we say our thank yous and goodbyes and go about our business every group has referred to Oryx being the front I stopped using my logic and fire at will and hold plates when need be I also don't have too many raid opportunities but I got it down enough to know what I can volunteer for effectively
-
Well okay let's go off OP, who says there is one wall (which I agree with). If Oryx spawns at the back, you would have to call the wall the front wall. If you can call that wall the front wall, then you can claim Oryx spawns at the back. I know I sure feel weird calling that wall the front wall. Also my personal opinion is that the area where you fight oryx is not a room, classroom, or theatre. I'd compare it to a large balcony. Is it not a balcony? From this view, Oryx spawns at the front.
-
That's your opinion. Prove me wrong.
-
I think we're all fooling ourselves and acting like pansies arguing the details when we could just be PLAYING THE -blam!-ING GAME
-
Stop, before you create a black hole.
-
-
It's based on where you start the fight. In Templar or golgoroth everyone starts where they enter, at oryx everyone starts at the end of the room where oryx spawns
-
I agree with you but it's a matter of prospective.
