I feel that the dark zone is SUPER HIGH RISK, small little reward.

That's why its only a Beta ATM. They will hopefully work out the kinks , for the full release.
-
I agree with that. Also why do you lose dz funds when you die and you're not Rouge? You get so little funds if you don't go Rouge also
-
Run the Dark Zone as a group. Stay close to each other. While extracting loot just eliminate anyone you see enter the extraction point. They knew the risks as well so don't feel guilty. While you're rogue find an easily defensible point such as a dead end alley. I would use the turret ability for alley defense. You can use th AI enemies as a barrier too.
-
The bad thing about that is if your not lucky(which your usually not) a group of people will continuously storm you and refresh that rogue status
-
That works for the first hour until 12 people are going after 4 ppl. The timer never ends you can't escape, and when you die... You lose 3 hours of grinding. All because some idiot ran into your grenade, and you didn't want to die lol.
-
That's also true, but when in a cramped alley with explosions, turrets, and bullets, it's chaos and can be used to your advantage. More often than not, people will accidentally attack each other and go rogue right next to each other. Happened to me when I hunted rogues with randoms.
-
I just learned to find the highest ground, there's a few really good spots. 9/10 times when we went to an ally we died. See if you guys agree. I don't think a group member should be able to make everyone go rouge. If you are communicating you guys will have each others back. Too many times I was either extracting or killing adds with a random person not in group. My group would then go rouge without saying anything, then my random friend would turn and gun me down. We loose way to much coin/rep for quick errors like that.
-
I honestly hate loosing rep. I understand losing coin, but loosing both hurts me inside when I load back up lol.
-
What I meant was, I had about 5,000 dark zone credits. I then go rouge and kill 2 people. I then am hunted by like 6 people who of course kill me.... I lost 1.2 thousand. I just think that if the rogues lost a little less money it would be fine but all I see right now is me losing more than I was gaining.
-
Yea I lost a shit load of Money and like 1300 XP when I died as a rouge. Plus the 30 second respawn timer. I think the punishment for being killed while rouge is a little extreme, especially given how -blam!-ing easy it is to accidentally go rogue, be forced into going rogue by some asshole who purposely runs in front of your line of fire just so his team can kill you. Overall though I really like the DZ its was very fun, I only encountered a few annoying instances of douchebaggary.
-
Haha I lost 18k and one full level in rep, wait... It's not that funny.
-
Exactly, or the people who put down the turrets which will shoot you, and if you shoot it back you go rouge. Don't get me started on how much people lagged and how it was horrible.
-
I got all my good shit in the dark zone lol.
-
I don't know what you mean by small reward. That's where all the best items are. I went rogue hunting all day today and was able to purchase both high end weapons and all purple mods and like 30 dark zone keys. It was so much fun!
-
Small reward? Go ahead and see what you get from the reds in the pve area, because I got nothing but blue and purple weapons, mods, and a liberator by the time I was done in there
-
Liberator is god

My classic ak was better
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)つ──☆: ・゚
For me i prefered with m4 variant that the liberator was it felt and handled just right for me

And the times you team up, take out a crew and extract loot make up for the bad times you get shredded. The dz is not solo friendly at all though. The fun lies in working as a team. I think the dz needs more substance though. If defending extractions and ganking lone wolves is all there is to do, it will get old really fast, despite how fun it is at times.
-
Well I'm an old man who doesn't know alot of peers who play video games. I usually don't play with teams unless I'm lfging for the raid.
-
Division has Optional matchmaking. You don't need a mic to matchmake. You don't need to communicate. There are no absurd KD/Level requirements. The game is completely different solo and with four players, even if they are all randoms via matchmaking.
-
Just invite random people at extraction zones until you have a full team buddy. Thats all i did. After 4 or 5 solo attempts in the dz i was near ready to throw in the towel, then i thought screw this i need a crew if im to survive here. I then just kept inviting people until i had 3 buddies to roam around with. None of us were on mic, but we all stuck together and kept each other healed and protected etc. It was a fun few hours from then on. We had fun, added each other afterwards, and ill prob hook up with them again on release. But i just dont know how long that dz fun will last months in if extraction is all there is
