Who else is fed up with these ignorant "nerf sniper" topics. Funny how they were never an issue prior to the final shotgun rebalancing now all the shotgun users want them nerfed
If you're one of the unintelligent and ignorant individuals who is crying for a sniper nerf either get better at crucible and find counters because there are many, Or alternatively stop playing the game.
The whole time since the game's release they have never been an issue among the community and now all of a sudden your shotguns are performing how intended you behave like children and request a sniper nerf?
Is this how everything is going to revolve around in the game, When a specific weapon is adjusted in game people will find a reason to complain about a nerf for something else even though that wasn't an issue prior to the adjustment.
Sniping in this game is not easy, Aim assist isn't what you think.
STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT AIM ASSIST AND RESEARCH IT FOR YOURSELVES.
It takes zero skill to brainlessly sprint/blink/crouch/slide upto someone point blank and pull the trigger or run around with your shotgun as your primary for the whole game as nearly every shotgunner I see in the game does.
Shotgunners push zero primary gunfight engagements unlike snipers who are forced to use their primaries to keep the kill streak alive.
Stop complaining because you have to work a little harder for those kills now.
Seeing these toxic threads on the forums every single time I come to check out some cool threads on the forums is so frustrating.

Nowadays, it's infested with snipers. Before, when we only had three special weapon types and not four, you would see a variety of guns. But now, I almost fall out of my chair when I find someone in the crucible that's not using a 1ks. Every corner I turn, theres a whole squad of glaring 1k stares that instantly overkills any chance I have at getting away. I don't think snipers need a nerf that badly, but something has to be done to neutralize this sniper-blam!-fest. On another note, I think it's messed up for anyone who looks down on players that main a shotgun. Shotgun kills take as much skill as snipers right now. Anyone can pick up a high impact sniper with decent aim assist and play better than their regular skill level. But for me to get a shotgun kill, I have to get close to you while you have a sniper that can gun me down a mile away. So no one should be able to say that snipers require more skill than shotgun kills. At the end of the day, I just think that this game could be fun, as it was intended to be, if everyone i go up against didn't have a 1ks and tlw and was either self res warlock, or a striker titan. Those being 2 VERY broken subclasses in the current meta. Also, my beloved MIDA needs a nerf too. Due to destiny's bullet trajectory system, bullets now manage to hit you behind walls from weapons like the 1ks and MIDA.

If shotguns could kill people without having to shove it down there throat it wouldnt be a problem but by the time you even get close enough to use it the sniper has turned it self around and auto-no scoped-magenetized a Bullet right into your crit befor the person holding the sniper even has a chance to turn around and face u.

1 OdpowiedźShotguns were nerfed too much. They should compensate by making snipers weaker by some means or remove some of the shotgun nerfs. It's getting boring with teams staying in their spawn with Icebreakers

Your title explains it all. Shotguns and fusions were nerfed. Now, people just want balance. I personally use a sidearm.

I am average at best but I am tired of snipe fights all the time, there needs to be a defense against it. if you use something you lose something else, if you cant snipe at least get something to protect yourself from it. this way only snipes can snipe each other with one shot and the rest should be 2 to the head (or at least not die with the first shot) and 3 to the body but obviously with this defense you cant snipe or something like that. Halo does this perfectly in halo 5 were if you gain somewhere you lose something else. what does anybody think about this?

No snipers only use snipers at all ranges. Snipers are lethal from 20 ff and 2 ft away. Real sniper couldn't do that. Real shotguns hit way further than that.

Special weapons, and snipers, are not over powered, they are over used. Without proper limitations, anything can be seen as over powered.

5 OdpowiedziSince the rest of the weapons have been nerfed to the ground, except for a few ones(MIDA). Snipers are the only easy and reliable weapons to get kills. By adding sway and de-scoping when shot, snipers while not being nerfed will bring balance. Sway and de-scoping are not nerfs those are natural behaviours on every sniper, a skilled player could work just fine with them.

They pretty much have no drawbacks, except that you can't spam them. But they ruiend shotguns to be honest. the only archetype worth SOMETHING was the "sniper" (comeplete BS snipers came up) and after 2.0 they aren't consistent, even worse after 2.1. Universal Remote BARELY OHKs, it takes aroudn 3 SHELLS to kill someone. 4th horsemen is unsable, inventice is fine. They need to go to shotgun patch 1.11 AND keep rangefinder and shotpackge as 2.0 And make the universal exotic perk much more stornger so it is REALLY a remote

Really? I've seen one nerf-ish sniper thread but it was mainly talking about Sniper Meta actually making it to the 1st page. Other than that, I've seen plenty of Sunsinger nerf threads and three or four gitgud scrub threads defending snipers. Are you looking at the most recent posts or at the trending page? About what you're saying, I am a shotgunner in Crucible. I mainly rely on my primary and use shotgun defensively, if I get pushed or am going to get hit with a high value target (super/heavy ammo). I personally think every gun has their day of hate on the forums. The original maps made it much easier to use shotgun vs. sniper in most plays but now the newer maps have sniper support, so it's more of an advantage to use sniper vs. shotgun, so most people do. More people using it, more people notice. Although, in making this post, you talk about ignorant people but then you start to be ignorant yourself and talk in general terms. Shotgunners and Snipers as if everybody does the same thing. I've played with plenty of bad players who are only good with sniper, and literally camp special, are terrible with their primaries but then just camp back and body shot you with their snipers when they finally get special. Everything has two sides. It's just sniper's turn for the reasons stated above.

It takes the same skill to hardscope traffic areas as it dies too be able to close distance to shotgun people. Neither is easier or harder. Snipers are worse now because primaries all take a lit longer to kill than they use too and the range they can kill in is drastically shorter as well. So snipers are better than they were without being touched.

1 OdpowiedźIt makes the game boring when the whole opposition is camping and sniping. I try to go without sniping as long as I can but if I see no way of winning, I will equip one and start sniping back. It makes for a very boring game of crucible.

Just because some people want this game back to its glory days when it was super fun, before everyone was sniping in doorways because everything was nerfed to barely contend with them, dont get pisssy with them because we care and want it fast paced again. Crucible is in a bad awkward spot due to nerfs and snipers ARE A PROBLEM. This is coming from a monster sniper but im not so naive ro not recognize thats somethings off from having a one hit kill weapon withvhuge aim assist and no risk high reward all match that slows the game down. Now settle down while people who care for the crucible actually propose ideas to make it how it was before.

Snipers only use their primary, only when they quick scope body shot and try switch to their mida or last word to clean you up. That or the fact they forgot to change to ice breaker or take their sidearm off.
