So yesturday we had one space free and someone joined our group and messaged us saying he was deaf but knows what to do. Everything went smoothly and at the golg challenge, we gave him gaze 5. Once gaze 4 was ready we waved for him to take the gaze. As I said everything went smoothy and I am glad we gave him a chance.
....
Wow this really has blown up. Its nice to read everyone's experiences. Just to add for the critics, I have not had past experience with deaf people before, so as I had a plesent one, I wanted to share it with the community.

Dude, you only need emotes to communicate in raids
-
7 OdpowiedziFAKE!!!, pics or it didn't happen
-
You dont even need communication if everyone knows what to do. Cause the raid is pretty easy
-
Ran the raid thru the100.io.....had two deaf guys in our raid group....made it to golg. Challenge.... After 10+ tries we had to get rid of one of them. He just didn't understand the challenge. We replaced him and knocked out the raid with one random and one deaf guy.

3 OdpowiedziCool, one of my clan mates/friends is deaf and we ran him through everything too
-
Wow, that's awesome! I'm sure you've made his day better
-
Congrats and that was nice of you guys to continue knowing he couldn't communicate. Most teams really don't need much talking( communicating) if they all know what to do.

9 OdpowiedziAt a later stage of the game in Y1 (around HoW) i carried 1 guy who was for 60% blind 1 eye fully blind, the other 10%). We had a fun time. We did wipe twice on crota (i did it solo) and i said to him he should pick up the sword. I heard that he was suprised, but he took on the challenge! (He never ran relic/sword) I kneeled crota and he started smashed crota, we finished crota off in 2 swords. That was the moment i heard what true happiness and joy sounded like. Tbh, this is probably one of (if not) the best moment in my life. Making someone (who always got kicked because he couldn't see everything) so happy by doing something i normaly do by myself.

I'm Day 1 Destiny player and I still hasn't completed the Totem section (relay racing) of the King's Fall NM. :/ I have already completed VoG HM, Crota's End HM, and Skolas PoE (through the use of emote communications before TTK release) no problem. It actually tickled my heart when reading the thread about deaf players completing raids no problem. Wish I could beaten the King's Fall. :/ Before anyone ask, I'm currently on X-Box 360, so...

Considering this communities recruitment standards are pretty much on par with Nazi Aryan standards, I applaud you.
