Is that the limitation of your skill level.
Wow this went bad fast.
I'm not making fun of shotgunners i have asked the same for snipers. Yes i am a shotgunner and i do it because i like close combat i have no patience to sit and wait.
Thank you for all the responses there seems to be more snipers than shotgunners

Because lag. It still takes two shots, a melee, and a grenade, but it's better than watching sniper head shots do zero damage repeatedly.
-
Because my fusions became unreliable.
-
1 OdpowiedźI use both. I have no limitations.
other than my over 30 motor skills and hand eye coordination. But it's not bad.
-
Shotguns because of the map designs, but I could snipe sometimes
-
Tell us why you bait
is it limitation of your social skills irl to have real friends and interact with?
I live scout/shotty build
-
I stink at sniping

http://youtu.be/otOUTQlKkTg That's why

I like the AR/Shotty/MG build. Im not much for precision, mostly just a run-and-gun kinda player, so thats what has worked the best for me. Find what you use most efficiently and roll with it, I guess.
-
I use a shotgun because I like to play aggressively. But I don't "main" a shotgun either as I have far more primary weapon kills than special. But if I'm gonna run down that tight hallway or you you come running at me you can bet you're gonna get some buckshot in the ass....
-
It's fun.
-
Most people play passive with a sniper so I have to shove a shotgun down their throat for them to move.
-
I originally did it out of necessity. I honestly suck at sniping and frankly hate the camper sniper players and when fusions got nerfed I had to become a shotty user to keep up.
-
I come from gears. Getting up close and personal is just part of the comfortable fighting style.
-
I shotgun when the map calls for it
-
Fun. Then again, I haven't played in weeks or months.
-
I only shotgun when the people rush me with last words.
-
I am still to master that switch/aim/fire/switch w/ the sniper rifle for closer situations. Some folks do it beautifully. I used to like Fusion rifles but all the NERFS make them less attractive now. Shotguns got a lot of NERF too but are still a better/more versatile Special Weapon to carry in PVP. In PVE I mostly carry a sniper rifle as Special Weapon. When can I have my Ice Breaker back?
-
Haven't used a shotgun for crucible since HoW Except chaperone. I usually run sniper but they got boring so I'm tryna get back in using my fusion rifles as well as use my plugone.1 after months in a vault.

2 OdpowiedziBecause I use a scout.

Edytowany przez użytkownika LunarWingLuna: 2/2/2016 1:30:56 PMI shotgun because it's the easiest way to engage in CQC scenarios. Now, don't read that as "scrubby easy mode" because that's not what I mean. What I actually mean is, when I'm running a snipe, my primary is my only real tool in CQC situations besides nades and melee. Against other shotgunners, I'm dead. Now, yes, I can always just hang back, but as a player, you HAVE to be flexible sometimes. You might get spawned in a bad place, or maybe you're trying to hold down heavy and someone catches you off guard so you can't kill them from a distance. There are so many scenarios where a sniper rifle can't help you. My personal preference for shotgunning is The Chaperone. It takes a bit more skill, but it's infinitely more worth it when used as in intended. I also always run a scout rifle with my shotgun to compensate for the shotguns lack of range just like when I run a snipe, I use pulses or autos because they're better for close-mid range combat. Adversely, I love sniping though. I like shotguns, but I've always preferred sniping. Sometimes sniping is a pain in the ass though, and sometimes, especially playing with randoms, i am forced to be the aggressive player on the team which means that I need to push when nobody else -blam!-ing does because everyone thinks they're a -blam!-ing sniper now, and for that, a shotgun makes my life easier because I won't get gunned down in a bad spot as easily. Without a shotgun, I'm basically an easy kill for other shotgunners 9 out of 10 times in a CQC scenario. Personally, the flexibility that comes from a scout rifle and a shotgun is unparalleled to me, but even still, I love sniping, so I'd never give it up. I just happen to also find shotgunning to be very efficient.

If I absolutely need to win a match. Like last night, I did nothing but run around with a shotgun so I can hit rank 5 before I had to get offline.
-
My kd depends on it plus when I pick up a sniper I'm like a human hawkmoon sometimes I do good and sometimes I do excellent
-
I snipe a lot because it feels right to be invisible and snipe
-
Because I actually use my primary and it compliments it better than a sniper rifle.
-
I like sniping and shotgunning, but when it comes to carrying in trials I like to get it done fast by pushing and getting up close
