I really like this game... but the frustration at inconsistent PVP and lack of PVE is going to take me away. There really are easy fixes(In theory, I don't know what you'd have to do on your end)
PVP is ruined by latency. Too much inconsistency from one shot to the next, one grenade to the next, one super hit or melee hit doing no damage, etc. On good days I love the game. On bad days it seems like I can shoot some one ten thousand times and have two hits register... I can shotgun some one in the body and follow up with a melee only to be killed by that person still alive because... half the point blank shotgun hits didnt register? I don't know. On good days play is smooth and things that should kill an opponent do... and on bad days every one survives things that should be a kill. Too inconsistent, and very frustrating on bad days.
PVE.... the raid is great, I really love it... once a week. Strikes are strikes, a bit grindy but no complaints on those or the nightfalls. My simple thought to TRIPLE the average players weekly PVE experience is... why wouldn't you raise the level of the old raids and allow 300 light gear to drop? I mean... you can make some choices obviously, you can limit light levels to like 300 or something so KF is the only thing giving end game gear, you could remove some items you don't want to be Y2 items... but at least it would open up more gear options and most importantly TRIPLE the amout of weekly raiding possible that might drop gear people would want, even if they had to infuse it up to end game level.
Any ways.... the Division is coming soon. You may see a big chunk of fan base disappear if it is any better put together than destiny is at the moment. I really hope we get some solid updates soon for both PVP and PVE.
EDIT:
Haha, I love all the responses. A lot of people are replying that it's nonsense and the Division wont kill Destiny.
I want to point out I don't think the Division will "kill Destiny".... I like Destiny a lot there are just things that need to be fixed and if they don't get fixed I personally will be leaving for The Division probably with a good amount of other people.
I would LOVE Destiny to fix up some stuff that seems like it would be an easy fix but sure is taking a long time.
I kind of am thinking that a good chunk of man power was pulled from TTK to work on Destiny 2, basically calling it quits on TTK and just leaving a skeleton crew behind to try to keep it some what running until D2 comes out. I don't know if this is the case but if it is and TTK stays in the half assed state that it currently is I personally wont be buying D2.

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika dat_ICE_doe: 1/27/2016 1:26:12 PMU must be the same guy who said the witcher is going to kill destiny. Or battlefront will kill destiny. Or bo3 will kill destiny. Or siege will kill destiny. Or fallout will kill destiny. Shall I go on?

32 OdpowiedziAs said with Dying Light, Black Ops 3, the Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Evolve, Star wars Battlefront, Advanced Warfare, Borderlands, Tom Clancy: Siege. So many games were supposed to kill Destiny... So what happened?

9 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika P00NiSHER: 1/23/2016 6:36:35 AMHave you not noticed that these companies strategically release games? So what if a big chunk of the fan base leaves. Destiny isn't a subscription service. The Division will come out, the masses will flock to it, most likely get bored or realize it was another over hyped train wreck, then here comes Destiny 2 to save the day! The masses flock to it, most likely get bored and realize it was another over hyped train wreck, and this process of retardation just continues. There hasn't been a game in years, YEARS, that was so good that I'd consider wearing diapers again just so I could maximize my play time by not taking bathroom shits.

Ohhh but they got a new CEO, Bungie is saved and in the same swing of that blade so is destiny....... Smoke and mirrors to preserve what little reputation and the image they have left. Nothing will change, but they'll say it is.

The Destiny community is strong but not as it was year 1. The Division won't be a game breaker but it will give me something to do after I finish raiding. Which is almost the only time I play.
-
8 OdpowiedziDivision doesn't look good enough to finish destiny off, if it takes like 2+ clips of an MP7 to kill one in armored dude then that's too long of a firefight in a CPU. I don't play Destiny often but I can guarantee that destiny won't die from this, and the game isn't out yet for the public so we can't make accurate assumptions either (yours or mine could be wrong).

1 OdpowiedźDude, nothings gonna kill destiny. Fallout 4 put a noticeable dent in it, same with BO3. But its alive now. If anythings gonna kill destiny, its gonna be microtransactions set in by Activision. Kind of why everybody hated AW

Destiny is in a tail spin right now. The Division will make the decline of the now mediocre Destiny come a little bit sooner rather than later.

2 OdpowiedziThe reality is all games have a lifespan, destiny has done well to keep up with the competition for as long as it did, but just like gta v before it, the hunger for it grows weak... Gamers will move on, like a roaming herd, maybe to division, or whatever else takes your fancy, but once you go, you don't go back. To do so is like swimming against the current, people go with the flow. Human nature. No big deal.
i really hope the division is Supernovafvckinawesome!!!!
Personally I know nothing about programming. That being said how hard would it be to remove the elements from the old raid primaries and then add a higher light level selection to old raids with gear that drops the new light level? They would instantly have triple the content. And prison of elders too. But I also agree that Bungie should probably devote as many resources to Destiny 2. Just let Destiny 1 die. How long do average games last? I loved Assassins Creed Syndicate but will I still play 16 months from now? Hell NO. And I won't be going to the Ubisoft forums and begging for more AC content. It's life I had some fun and enjoyed the game. The Last of Us was amazing. Great story. But I played it and then moved on. I got my money's worth. And same with Destiny. I sunk countless hours into Destiny. I got lots of playtime. Would I like more? Yeah maybe, but not more grind and what would be the point. Any gear I earn would be doubtful to carry over to Destiny 2. So all and all I'm ok with Destiny dying. It's just a game. This happens. And now I can play other games.

"Hey Bungie, this game that looks as awesome as Destiny did pre-launch is coming soon. I have never played it and only watched video much like I did before Destiny's hype, but it is better than what you have done. Of course I know this because I never played it before and watch videos designed to make it look amazing."

Oh it was supposed to be Witcher 3. No not right either. I got it! Dying Light. What's that your're saying? I've just gone full retard. Wow. Damn all these games and not o e of them killed Destiny.

37 OdpowiedziThe division is another watch dogs, they destroyed the graphics for Xbox and ps4. Go compare E3 2013 footage to 2015 footage.

https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/42ll5b/satire_destiny_2_announced/ Thank you redditor cwspellowe for making this. I have hope that Destiny will turn around sometime, but this post shows how it has sadly become the laughingstock of gaming.

52 OdpowiedziWait why does this sound familiar?
Halo 5 is coming, get your shit together bungie. Black ops 3 is coming, get your shit together bungie fallout 4 is coming get your shit together bungie (halo 5, blops 3, fallout 4,) will kill destiny.
Oh yeah, I remember, that time when people said they were going to quit destiny when those games came out then they came back and made posts on how bad those games were. If only we understood the concept of unrealistic expectations. -_-

4 OdpowiedziThe Division will not replace Destiny. It doesn't look or feel nearly as fun and the idea of having equipment I've worked for stolen has already made the game a no-go for me. Actually, building a character like this was a one time affair for me... I'll never do it again. If anything defeats Destiny, it will be Bungie.
-
The division has already beaten destiny. I'm guessing there will be alot more to see and do more customization and in game group finders and matchmaking. If it has any of those things it's already beaten destiny by a mile.
-
I'll be getting The Division, but I won't stop playing Destiny. I probably won't play as much, but I won't stop and never come back to it.
-
The Division won't kill Destiny so much as it will just be stepping on the head of Destinys corpse.

1 OdpowiedźHonestly i have more fun watching netflix then i do on destiny anynore ive been playing since release and got all dlcs day 1 and i feel so ripped off what content thats given to us now should have been tripled by now. Now by the looks of the web the division will be alot better and more bad ass and actually have a story that makes sense. Destiny has no future dlc plans the next big thing for destiny isnt until atleast september or later by the looks of rumors atm... Truthfully im a hardcore destiny fan and im done with it... Save yourself now... Buy other games and toss destiny for good its not worth it anymore unfortunately
-
If you actually read up on the division it's a co op game in a closed world and story strict paths. Game is garbage before it comes out, should be a free to play game

Two more days. Can't wait.
