Why do so many people think that black spindle is needed for a raid?
I see many people on lfg sites looking for people with black spindle. Why? Ye I know that the weapon has great impact, but it doesn't really matter. Every time we die after we've damaged a boss in the raid, e.g. Warpriest and golgoroth, I view the dps made by each person.
With a 1000 yard stare, I did more overall damage than all of my other friends with a black spindle.
I read a post about a guy who had a 320 black spindle, then switched it to a rare 280 weapon, yet still killed the warpriest in two tries. This proves that no matter what legendary or rare year two sniper you use, black spindle is not superior and NOT needed for a raid.

I agree with you a good stare with reload speed perks is just as good UNLESS your a sniping master who never misses a head shot. I'm not a good sniper and i can miss a couple times on war priest and with only a 3 round mag and slow reload I probably do more damage with a stare than my spindle. however like a lemming I pull it out on Warpriest all the time. However on Golgaroth the spindle rules just because the hit box is so big you can't miss.
