Why do so many people think that black spindle is needed for a raid?
I see many people on lfg sites looking for people with black spindle. Why? Ye I know that the weapon has great impact, but it doesn't really matter. Every time we die after we've damaged a boss in the raid, e.g. Warpriest and golgoroth, I view the dps made by each person.
With a 1000 yard stare, I did more overall damage than all of my other friends with a black spindle.
I read a post about a guy who had a 320 black spindle, then switched it to a rare 280 weapon, yet still killed the warpriest in two tries. This proves that no matter what legendary or rare year two sniper you use, black spindle is not superior and NOT needed for a raid.

1 OdpowiedźYeah I use 1000 yard stare, hung jury, and sleeper simulant. The sleeper does a lot of damage. Like 27k when there is a tether on the war priest.

I only use the 320 spindle on Golgoroth. 320 1KYS on the rest of the raid.

It's not needed, but it's an incredible weapon for Warpriest and Golgoroth.

It makes Warpriest and Golgoroth a lot easier to do, mostly because of white nail and its high dps.

Black spindle is just easier with faster dps because of its perk. Is it necessary? No. Is it easier? Yes. Are people on LFG sweaty tryhard crucibabies? Oh god, yes!

My hunter just got a sweet roll on a 1k from a vanguard package. That along with the raid gloves with sniper reload and increased reload speed in the aura, it could be better than black spindle.

Your friends just suck. 320 spindle does top dps in the group everytime I use it.

8 OdpowiedziSame. Did hard raid and my 1000yard with triple stack was putout more damage than the black spindle. The rate of fire spindle has negates it's perk imo

I haven't raided so i'm missing ToM but i would like the spindle if i ever actually want to do this raid. Every time it comes up i just don't want to do it. It's not a gun i've been chasing. Same with chaperone. All i have left is the shield bros strike and it's mine. Been sitting there for 3 to 4 weeks. Ever since TTK i've lost the desire to play NF and the Raid. I used to play socially quite a lot when i could run VoG trying to get that fusion or the VoC. Even teamed up every week multiple times to do the NF/weekly/PoE. Man, my mic has dust on it at this point lol I know, a bit off topic but it makes me wonder to those who don't raid: Is the black spindle REALLY that much better than the vendor 1k yd stare?

Black spindle should easily do more damage the a thousand yard, don't have to reload and higher impact, most likely your friends aren't using weapons of light.

Ran 3 people that were lower 290s light through hard mode warpriest challenge.

Might be proof or something that you are not a complete scrub. BTW I use my badass 1000 Stare as well. Except for Golgoroth, that is the only time the spindle comes out. The comments above are just an opinion as to why people ask for black spindles.

Like what other people mentioned before, spindle is required to allow a faster DPS on raid bosses. This factors in people who do not have the armor perk to enable a faster reload, which they may choose to have on their primary or heavy instead of secondary weapon. Not everyone gets lucky to get a fast reload sniper arms at a high light level drop. If 1000ys works for you, that's great. As long as the boss gets taken down, use whatever floats your boat.

It is simply the very best weapon to use in certain situations......some of those include killing some of the raid bosses. No one has ever said that you can't kill those bosses without spindles. I understand that it sucks if you aren't skilled enough at the game to get a black spindle, especially when pretty much everyone else is able to aquire it. But coming on here and crying about it isn't going to make you any better at the game. Just because you personally have done more damage than specific people using spindles means absolutely nothing.......but if you didn't already know that, then it dosent really matter what anyone says, because you won't understand it.

15 OdpowiedziX=Number of shots fired over a given time period. Y=precision damage per shot. D=(X.Y) or Total Damage. As you can X is directly proportional to D. So let's limit X to the maximum number of shots possible over a course of a minute. Example: Over a course of a minute the Black spindle can fire 23 shots. Over the course of a minute the 1000 Yard stare can fire only 15 shots because of its need to reload. Given that X is directly proportional to D, the Black Spindle will always do more damage given that spindles Y value is greater than or equal to 1K stares Y value... Which it is....

20 OdpowiedziIf you can hit all 25 shots on the head you will out damage any of the other snipers fact. You know why that's a fact because it has the most impact and if you hit all head shots it's by far the quickest dps of any sniper. Only thing that out damages it is a sleeper and that doesn't have enough ammo to keep going
