Mida is more popular and more annoying than Thorn ever was
Before you read this: [i]YES[/i], I AM A YEAR ONE PLAYER.
I've never seen full teams of randoms with thorn as consistently as I see the same with Mida. Mida killing me isn't what's annoying, it's just the fact that everyone uses it and it forces everyone in the crucible to conform to one playstyle. There is absolutely zero diversity in the crucible. Don't go spouting off a ten paragraph essay about how Mida is balanced, because I agree. We just need autos to be actually buffed, pulses to be nerfed properly (how they were going to be nerfed before bungie lied to us), and handcannons and scouts to stay the same.
Edit: Damn, so much hate. Never intended to make anybody angry, but if you are, you probably only read the title and in a blind rage, posted your wittiest insult and left. Comment "Latias" if you read the whole thing so I can decide whether or not to ignore you.
Edit: The wording is bad for the part about pulses, I want them buffed up to the original state before bungie nerfed them, and bring them down to what bungie [i]said[/i] they were going to do before they lied

Can't say I agree man...no disrespect but Thorn was everywhere back then...EVERYWHERE! MIDA is pretty popular right now but I run into plenty of matches where a couple people at most are using it.

Thorn was worse. Way worse. Not only was it more popular, but it was [i]clearly[/i] overpowered. MIDA can be beat. Thorn could too, but only by the equally broken TLW.

I don't use mida in crucible, I just play on my warlock and use tlaloc, better in my opinion

Which means even if they missed that 3rd headshot, the DoT might kill you. And the poison burn reveals your location to the guy who shot you! Not so for mida. Players are gonna have to chase you if they want that kill, not wait in the back and see that you died from the poison. Now please, for the love of God, take this down and stop making a fool of yourself.

There are plenty of auto rifles and pulse rifles in crucible. MIDA is a solid weapon as it always has been. Easily countered too. Same as snipers don't challenge scouts or snipers at range with AR / Pulse. Easy.

Nah it's just easier to get, hell got my thorn in year 1 with a hunter just to do it, a void ldr, party crasher and truth. Those who lacked the skill to get thorn have flocked to the mida, so rejoice year 1 guardians who fought the uphill battle, for now you see the true numbers of those who failed where you conquered.

I would like to see hand cannons get buffed back to their old state (especially their accuracy) and maybe a slight increase to auto rifle range.

latias and there's one thing I don't understand. I'm using a high rof pulse and wrecking midas left and right. I've got a decent kd but if mida is as big a problem as you think then I shouldn't have this experience

I think you would have seen more players use it in year one if it wasn't for the 2 handcannons. I personally couldn't use it without being outclassed by a last word or even a thorn but that is just me. I did see other players use it effectively though.

No diversity is frustrating. MIDA was always a great weapon anyway so it's actually kinda funny to see a surge of people use it. Once a few people say it's good, too many people will start to use it hoping it to be a crutch. Same goes for Conspiracy Theory and Party Crasher. So many people use them for the ranged one-shot kill. But if you don't want to snipe and want to run shotty, most other shotguns are not as cheap and easy to get kills with. 1000y stare. Hardly any variety in snipers too. Why? Bungie made this the most readily available higher impact res sniper for everyone to have. You see the odd eirene and still piercer true. Ignore what everyone else is doing. Play with as many different combos as you want. It's so much more fun and can only make you a better player by using different weapons right? There will always be a meta in this game, you won't see much variety. Accept and move on :)

1 OdpowiedźI have to disagree. As much as I hate all of these people using MIDA's 24/7, killing where your weapon doesn't compete, Thorn was worse. Thorn worked in Scout Rifle range and did more damage. 2 headshot kill from a distance? Best primary in the game when it wasn't nerfed [spoiler]Thorn is still very good right now though.[/spoiler]

I really hope you play a team of Radiant Skin Sunsingers running full burn with thorn (the thorn and fire bolt burn stacks now) Then we'll see what's more annoying.
