Whatever Luke Smith was smoking, he made a stupid decision to not allow us to use elemental primaries.
Do you want us to get aggrivate and have to use two or three clips to take down one wizard. Sorry but I'd rather use a void primary that would take less time to take it down then using a kinetic damage weapon.
"Oh we want people to have more options for their load out"
Well sometimes, when your dealing with ten void enemies in the special Dark Blade strike or the special Shield Brother strike you really would rather have a void primary or a solar primary.
It's kinda dump how they took this approach now. They definetly wanted the gameplay to last longer that's for sure! I hope someone else in charge of Destiny 2 focuses on bringing back elemental primaries again cause it's tedious to have to use 3 clips to take down a knight with a void shield or a wizard with a yellow health bat and solar that takes ages with kinetic
Just have Luke Smith focus on raids. Don't let him ruin the elemental primaries and let them come back please!
Sorry about the "Luke Smith was smoking something" comment, but sometimes the decisions they do are poorly conceptualized
5 OdpowiedziYeah, this is a stupid thing to get bent out of shape about. Elemental primaries were relevant when there were regular burns on Nightfalls. Nightfalls have a burn a little more than 30% of the time last I checked. As opposed to the ~100% of the time prior to the launch of TTK. If the need for elemental primaries has been phased out, the desire for them should equally dissipate. You're stuck in the past, complaining about a mechanic that is no longer relevant. Let it go.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Athenacas: 12/30/2015 11:50:40 AMI agree with bringing them back. Elemental primaries made a great incentive to go to the Lighthouse. I really enjoyed collecting all the different weapons with arc, void, and solar burns. Now, the Lighthouse is a pretty boring experience. The raid is no longer about weapons anymore. It's about light level. Overall, I'm disappointed with both Trials and Hard King's Fall because of the lack of elemental primaries. By the way, Destiny is not what I would consider a hard game, so please don't post the "elemental primaries are a crutch" response.

1 OdpowiedźIt helps put more emphasis on your special and heavy slots. Making your loadout vary. You could have one of each element. And basically take on anything. Doesn't sound OP? I usually just use arc and solar. Void for VoG and other strikes. But that's it. #fatebringer

This will not happen. Limits sandbox on strikes, raids etc
-
They will just get nerfed to holy hell anyways

5 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika GANTZ: 12/30/2015 11:44:45 AMyes, this was one reason i stopped playing , because year 2 primaries were crap and they took away the primaries i earned and enjoyed , but now that the damage is done even if they brought em back its too late for me
-
Un-nerf everything!
-
Nah it's better this way

If they want us to invest time into the guns we want, why not give us a consumable that applies an element to a legendary primary? I'm not the one who came up with the idea but it seems like a good one to me.
-
He said it wedged a gap between people being able to do raids. Because of the type of weapons people needed. Well the gap is fu*king massive now im talking grand canyon sized gap. With all this light level bull shit. Burns on weapons were fantastic. It was stupid to take them away
-
I just want my damn vex back
-
They are just try to make people suffer but stay online. That's what they aimed for.
-
You could use a secondary / heavy to drop those shields and finish them with your primary? Not sure if you've got the hang of this game if Hive Wizards are such a problem for you.
-
It was partially done because the community made it a requirement for Nightfalls and Raids. Just like how everyone required Gjallarhorn and Black Hammer for Crota. We as a community did it to ourselves.
-
See, there are these wonderful things called special weapons and heavy weapons that have elemental damage on them that you can use instead of wasting your primary ammo.
-
Elemental primary's were the best!
-
small arm + burn nightfalls would be a breeze, like this week for example, I dont like how a single clip in fatebringer could do more damage than a whole reserve of ghorn shots.
-
They hardly make a difference. Burns arent nearly as dominate as a thing anymore, and thr damage buff isnt even as great as it used to be. I much prefer that specialness to retain to, you know, special weapons and heavies. I much appreciate the variety right now. Not seeing everyone and their dog run VoC or Fatebringer makes the game feel a little more unique

-
Agreed. No idea how they thought taking something away would somehow increase weapon diversity. I see tons of people using Zhalo in PvE and there is no such thing as diversity in PvP anymore (not that elements mattered much there)
-
3 OdpowiedziSolution. Instead of getting a weapon with an element on it, you get an elemental core. Make kinetic appear on machine guns and rocket launchers, shotguns, fusion rifles, etc, so you aren't just using them on primaries.
-
You're wrong, this has already been said enough. Too much infact.

Amen, I'm so tired of putting 2 clips into an enemy. Only to have them hide while I reload and regain their shield. It was your own choice people to use the weapons you used. No one made you do it and the is no more diversity in y2 than y1. It's called smart playing, to know your battle and be prepared. Additionally, what is there to grind for then? Due to their choices, all y2 weapons are meh, mediocre. No body gets excited for weapons because they're all the same. Come on people, everything done in y2 was for their benefit, not ours. Lower burn damage so enemies shields were tougher, reduce the amount of orbs produced so superstitious weren't as potent. Make every weapon boring, so no one weapon could stand out. People always say "I get to use my whole arsenal" then why do I see the same weapons all the time? I remember in y1 hearing people get excited when a gun the wanted dropped. Now people really don't care, it's infuse material. Then I hear let y1 die, ok, put down your Suros, last word, Midas, dragons breath, etc, because they are y1. Just because you upgrade to 280 and change some perks, doesn't make them y2.

5 OdpowiedziLike I been saying, let is get elemental cores so we can give our favorite primaries a burn. Like if I want a solar Nirwens mercy then I use a core on it and bam it has solar burn.
-
I agree... Bungie F up some of the silliest things.
