I've been here from the alpha, been here every step of the way, every up and down.
I to feel that the game is tanking and was a massive let down, but that it is still fun to play regularly.
But you know what?

Everyday there is a plethora of posts about "im a special snowflake because i was a vet and now that i am leaving the game you all need to suck me off and make me feel special"

Just accept that you may just not enjoy the game and 15 million other people have your same opinion.
I'm not making this post to get attention, just to point out that everything you have done or thought has been done or thought by 15 million other people...
Defeating Oryx alone by yourself is special, although VULFDREK disagrees, leaving the game because it isn't satisfying your gaming boner like it used to isn't though.

[b][i]Author's Note:[/i][/b] I recognize this is kind of a bait post but I just got frustrated with all these "special snowflake" kiddies so I made a post. You guys have some awesome and some AIDS opinions but they are all fun to read none the less.

3 OdpowiedziHere's my thoughts. Being a veteran player does matter. [b][u]First, you remember the way the game was before all the changes[/u][/b] People coming into the game who don't remember how the game used to be won't have the same perspective on it. If you're a vet you were probably on the hype train for this game and then when it came out, you were really disappointed. People felt connected to this game in a way unlike any other game. They pitched us an amazing experience where you built your own character through a changing world. Where you "become legend." But of course, we all know that was so barely true people took it as a lie. A veteran would be harder on the game than a fresh new player because they've just been with the game longer. [b][u]Second, you as the OP can have that view where "as a vet, you aren't special." But Bungie should be concerned when their veterans leave because this game was in such a broken state in the beginning their veterans gave them a lot of good ideas for improvement and support through the tough times[/u][/b] If you can't keep your hardcore, veteran fans, that's a problem. I really don't think they leave those posts because they want to feel special, but because they love the game. Deep down, they actually care about Bungie and Destiny. They were scarred by this game. Im one of those people. Yes, I was an alpha player. I watched all the pre release videos. I basically drove the hype train. This game scarred me so badly, I'm never preordering a game again. I'm never buying a season pass again. Destiny did this to me. Before destiny I trusted Devs. After destiny, I don't. This is how much I cared about the game. It's not because I want attention but because that's what happened and I care about this game. I wouldn't be on the forums for it if I didn't care about it. I don't play it anymore but I want it to be the game we all hoped it would be. I know it never will be but I still want it to be. We all have this hope deep down that Bungie will get it together and release the game it was advertised to be, but they've made so many poor decisions. Hopefully the fact that their veteran players are leaving and are unhappy will make them change their ways.

1 OdpowiedźSo i played beta and vanilla , i didnt raid at all until kings fall, i have 4000 grimoire , i left destiny when house of wolves came out. Came back for kings fall. Am i considered a veteran? I dont even care none the less , this game isnt even over yet , when destiny 3 is out then you can say that people from destiny 1 in its all is a veteran , or original player.

3 OdpowiedziWhy does this community seem so intent on bragging and wanting to know who's a veteran? Ive never seen such bullshit in a game. I play plenty of games that have been around longer than destinys year or so and no one cares how long you play here/who's a 'veteran'

2 OdpowiedziAgreed. Ever since my team that I've been raiding with since the game released quit playing as much, I've had to find randoms. A lot of the time, one of them leaves because we don't get it done fast enough. My team had gone from doing the hard raid in an hour after it dropped, to almost 45 minutes before they took a time out. That's because we know each other very well and have really great chemistry. New teams don't share that, and need some getting used to one another and seeing who is best at what. Please don't leave if a random team isn't working out right away. You'll get it together and start to work. It may just take more time for some teams. -Wahck

1 OdpowiedźSounds like you just want to tell everyone they are mediocre. That's kind of crappy. I understand though, you have reasons for feeling the way you do. But you can use your words to bring people up or you can use them to try and bring people down. At the end of the day it's your choice to live with.

2 OdpowiedziI agree! The amount of complaining has gone through the roof, as if it didn't start there in the first place.. So many different people play this game, and they play differently. Different times, reasons, lengths, etc. I personally play because I can choose where I want to go and who I want to shoot (free roam), and I can personalize my Guardian to an extent I find agreeable. I look cool, my guns look fckn cool, my sword IS fckn cool.. I'm good.

Most people posting saying they're leaving normally enjoyed the game and cared for it (or still do). It's not to get attention for themselves.......most of the time. If you got a product you were looking forward to for a few years and received it expecting it to live up to your expectations, only for it to not come anywhere close to those expectations would you not be mad? Wouldn't you bitch, moan, and complain about how it was a let down? It may not matter to you, but it does to them. If you don't care. Why are you even replying to them or talking about them?
