Can't remember if there was already a thread like this, anyway...
What FPS games do you consider to have the best gunplay? The worst? (Things like visual feedback, the feel, aiming down the sights, hip-firing, readying the gun, the recoil, etc..)
Personally, of all the FPS games I've played, Bungie (say what you will about Destiny...) has the best feeling of visual response for me when you fire a gun.
Next, I remember the Crysis games feeling pretty good in terms of gunplay.
COD is decent at best.
The worst for me would probably be Far Cry 4's (It just didn't have any impact to it)
What are yours?

In gonna say it, CoD. Aside from the debatably high ttk, the mechanics of the gunplay in cod have been perfected. Guns just feel so much more smooth and fluid in CoD as opposed to other games. *Gets in fireproof suit and prepares for the worst*

DOOM Quake Unreal Tournament Halo Wolfenstein: The New Order
-
Best: Halo 5 Rainbow Six Siege BF4 Destiny Worst: I don't know because I don't play games I don't like.

Battlefield 3 and Destiny. Battlefield 4's gunplay kind of annoyed me. Not really a fan.
-
Halo 5 has satisfying gunplay, Destiny is also a good example. Rage all you want about RNGesus but the game feelsgreat to play.
-
Resistance 3 Crysis Borderlands

4 OdpowiedziCall me crazy, but I love Warframes gunplay.

Kill zone 2

Wolfenstein: The New Order. I can't quite put my finger on why, but shooting shit in that game just felt so right.

Planetside 2, even know I suck at it.

best are probably Destiny, a few CoDs, later Halos, Battlefield, Homefront, Titanfall, ect for the worse Fallouts comes to mind I've come across a few that were worse in my life time but Fallout 3 is up there however NV and 4 were better, I know with NV there were a selection of mods that improve the gunplay that I guess would make it one of the best

Cod is always good, Destiny, battlefield

1 OdpowiedźHalo 5. Titanfall. Destiny (gunplay is the one thing it got near perfect). My top 3 picks for fps gun mechanics. All very fluid. And overall have minimalized the gimmicks found in today's shooters (halo being the least gimmicky, Destiny being the most from my list).

Titanfall and Destiny

Fallout 4, halo, destiny and

Fallout 4 is actually very good because it has no aim assist.
-
Halo 2/3 Rainbow 6 Siege Battlefield 3/4
-
The best? Get a PS2 (or PC) and play the Original Red Faction Man that was the best FPS

To be fair, Destiny's gunplay is very good, but other good ones are Halo, Titanfall and Battlefield imo.

2 OdpowiedziInsurgency Firing the weapons in game actually feels like you are firing a gun, and not a peashooter. Dust pops up at the places you shot at, smoke comes out of the barrel of the gun after firing multiple shots, and when you get shot at your screen gets blurry. Hell, you can mag dump a entire mag into a enemy and you can completely miss him. The game captures the high intensity of close quarters combat well too. In a game where camping is sorta encouraged, you can find yourself turning into a large room only to receive a hellfire of bullets if you hesitate once. In this game you have to either camp in a spot defending a position, or going full speed into rooms with no hesitation

Battlefield 3 had a great mix of realistic gunplay in it. Things like bullet drop and velocity, as well as suppression effects and decent recoil made it relatively skill based, but also still very satisfying and playable. Think it kinda went more arcade in battlefield 4 unfortunately.
