"OH EM GEEZ! SPARROW RACING!!! YOU ARE SO AWESOMEZ BUNGIE!"
Is what we WOULD be saying.
HOWEVER!
The fact remains that you still screwed everyone over. You still sold a $60 INCOMPLETE game a year ago that got butchered and had missing components taken and repackaged to be sold separately as $20 DLC a pop. You did that twice. TWICE. So then it became a $100 incomplete experience because even with both "expansions" as they were advertised, the game was still hollow and felt more like a shell without absolutely any cohesion what-so-ever. It was bare bones.
Then you release TTK which you decided to sell for $40 and everyone is going on about how its such an improvement and that it makes the game complete. Really revving up that hype train for it. But guess what? IT WAS STILL MORE OF THE SAME CUT CONTENT FROM THE BASE GAME!
How... HOW does anyone get away with this crap? You took a $60 game and managed to squeeze another $80 out of it. And don't sit there and tell me that you've been developing new content for it because we already know you announced you had started working on Destiny 2 MONTHS ago. In fact if I recall correctly, it was already entering development around the time the Dark Below was released. I've NEVER seen a game drag out old content so much. Same goes for TTK, that content was in development before the game ever launched, Luke Smith said that himself in an interview.
And now Sparrow Races? First off, let's get this record set straight, it BEGAN with folks being suspicious and accusing you of CUTTING Sparrow Racing from the base game just like you did Player Trading and Gambling. It became all the more obvious to people when you decided to give everyone this thing: https://www.bungie.net/en/Armory/Detail?type=item&item=3703598457&itemname=EV-30%20Tumbler
In fact, GAMBLING was believed to have been a mechanic associated with Sparrow Races. This was before the game even launched, mind you. Its clear that this is just once again another example of cut content being recycled just like you're doing with the Year 1 Exotics. Just something "new" (not really) to toss out there for all the diehard "Dude Bros" to freak out and obsess over. This Hamster Wheel comes with all the bells and whistles.
Second? You screwed it up. Yeah, you really did. Because not only are you likely going to put a great deal of stuff for it in your in-game Cash Shop nonsense (Most likely all the things folks are actually going to want for it), but to my knowledge these races are going to be for TTK owners ONLY.
Its ridiculous. You're all about exclusion, its nothing but aggressive attempts to try and force people to spend their money. But here's the thing, people ALREADY spent their money. You have received MORE than enough for your product and instead of supporting the community and giving back the players, you just keep coming up with more and new ways on how to get as much as possible from the masses. Shame on you. This is NOT what Gaming should be about.
I said it before and I'll say it again. TTK doesn't get a free pass and neither do you. TTK doesn't get a "passing score" for being somewhat better than the shite that you sold throughout Year 1. ANYTHING would be better than that. No, TTK gets measured up against other games like any others. Matched up with Fallout 4, DOES The Taken King compare? Does the value of TTK for $60 equal the value of content that you get for the same price as this?
Trick question, the answer is no, it doesn't.
Destiny being an Online Game doesn't mean jack crap, at all. Destiny having PvP has absolutely no bearing on this comparison, either. We're talking straight up value. The amount of content in Destiny does NOT reflect its $140 price tag.
Dark Below and House of Wolves SHOULD have been free for Vanilla Destiny.
Sparrow Racing SHOULD have been included for everyone, TTK or not.
The Taken King SHOULD have been sold at $30 and the Eververse Trading Company NEVER should have been implemented. Ever.
Gamers aren't stupid, most of us are very smart and have VERY good memories much to the dismay of companies like Activision.
We. Never. Forget.
Its time you start doing something to take responsibility for all this crap.

1 OdpowiedźI just recently played wolfenstein the new order. I thought that game was amazing considering it's a wolfenstein game. I understand it's a single player game in comparison to destiny. But it had an ingame codex of sorts... It had such attention to details in each level and told a much better story than destiny IMO, at least they made the story telling better that is. Far better at making you care. (Even without the relationship with Anya. Anyway, this sparrow racing? Neat but just watching my bro play it makes me cringe at all the little -blam!- ups bungie did or so many little ways that could of made sparrow racing better. Too many times I've seen him hit boosters and nothing happen and other times he misses them and still gets a boost. Let's see, the voice work is terrible, could of made the starting of races much more interesting, could of added an announcer who actually sounds like a real announcer, for some reason holiday sounds like she's sitting right next to you in the same room. Bunch of other little tiny nitpick that would of been little effort to make sparrow racing better. But bungie was lazy and did not even give us the AAA experience that we paid for 2x over With sparrow racing. Not only that, bungie included in the cash shop what's essentially buyable achievements or quests for sparrow racing that gives you rewards. To top it off, ITS NOT EVEN A PERMANENT FEATURE! Oh no, bungie couldn't do that no... That would actually give more content for us to do on a regular basis. No instead we get sparrow racing as events like iron banner and trials of Osiris... Yay.....

2 OdpowiedziThis post is aimed directly at the developer, specifically their business practices with this game. Why then, are some people personally offended by it? How has this been labeled by some as spewing hate? Because it doesn't conform to your personal belief, this is what it is? Is it because it strikes a nerve, at the thought that there may be validity to it? Genuinely curious I believe this, and other posts you have made have been portrayed unfairly. Resentment towards the questionable practices of the developer yes Spewing hate no, that I dont get. Some things have also been said about you personally, when in reality those who spoke of it are just as guilty. Yes you are, leave it at that please.[/i Glass Houses man..glass houses To comment to the OP, there are many who say "we're doing this to better the game", "Our posts are feedback - not yours, ur in the wrong place blah blah" whatever. Its one thing to provide posts to make changes to the core game for a better experience - those ^^ It's another, in my opinion, to attempt to make change on a larger scale - which seems to me to be the overall point to what you've stated. Make good on what many believe to be past transgressions, which isn't likely to happen, and you know that, and you tell them you know that, however, businesses watch their competition closely, whatever succeeds here will most assuredly be repeated elsewhere. You have repeatedly scolded and reprimanded this developer, whether some find it unwarranted or not is irrelevant in my opinion, you, as someone who purchased the product, have the right to voice your dissatisfaction just as much as anyone who would praise it. I do not consider this spewing hate, I find it rather admirable.

All of this is true. As a primarily pve player the amount of content in destiny sucks compared to borderlands, fallout, Bloodborne, or mass effect. And Pvp doesn't get you a pass because Bloodborne and mass effect both implemented great multiplayer without screwing single player over.

16 OdpowiedziThis post really really pisses me off. Because it is this exact kind of person that has ruined Destiny Year 2. Bungie are no longer doing any DLC's. They are no longer doing any story content, or strikes, or raids. We won't get any of that until Destiny 2. The reason why? Because people complained SO MUCH about the -blam!-ing DLC's. So go -blam!- yourself. You ruined something that could have been great. This is a great example of when the community bitching, THINKING that their bitching will help, actually totally backfires and completely -blam!-s something up.

All true, bungie, without a doubt, has shown in depth and detail what scumbags they are. Their defenders fall into two categories; long-time fanboyz and those whom are still addicted. How do they get away with it? Because people keep buying it.
