Alright. The Titan update has been posted. The one everyone has been waiting for.
https://www.bungie.net/en/News/News?aid=14083
Honestly, I think this is a great job on the balance. -9.09% damage reduction while in HoS (55% currently, down to around 50%), hammers now travel slower, and a 3 second cooldown on healing perk (the striker one had a 5 sec cd before which is now 3 sec with this update) among some other things. Striker has been improved and Defender wasn't really touched too much on, which is totally fine.
But I want to know, how are you other Titan mains taking this update? If you play all three characters equally, you can vote too, but this is mostly just to see how my punching bros are taking this. I know all your Hunter/Walock mains are going to be very happy about the Sunbreaker nerf, so I don't want that to lop-side the poll. I am 100% okay with this. I was scared they would demolish the subclass, but I see they have a set goals for the kills and usage of the subclasses, which is pretty interesting.
Thanks for your work Sage, I doubt you'll ever see this though.
Anyways, if you're not happy about this update, comment what you think they shouldn't have changed (if anything at all, lol).
Edit: Eyyy, we trending. Also to clear up some confusion. From what the wording on the post says, they're taking 9% off of the 55% damage reduction. Simply put, 4.95 is 9% of 55. So, it'll be down to 50% damage reduction. It's not a straight 9% reduction
Edit 2: Man, some of you guys think I actually care if you main a Titan or not and vote. I mean 1.6k of you Warlock/Hunter mains actually voted in that, which is greatly appreciated. But the ones that are commenting that you didn't pick the Warlock/Hunter option...you want a cookie? lmao. This was to get a general idea about the Titan community's opinion. Which seems to be generally decent at this point, we'll see if there's any chance on Tuesday. I don't really care if stray votes from Warlock/Hunter mains appears.
3 more days still the fated day. It'll be a whole new Crucible with the weapon balance, the Y1 exotics coming back (new perks or not), and new Titan updates. Enjoy the current meta while it's here, Guardians.

Edytowany przez użytkownika FullCrimsonic: 12/5/2015 11:38:29 AMAbout fuking time they did something with the juggernaut perk. Ive only been saying it since last year, as soon as it gets a fair go, people will cry for it to be nerfed. Its the only thing that will let a player survive 2 golden gun shots
-
As a defender i like it, was worried they were gonna nerf weapon of light or something like that, but all we got was a small buff, so I'll take it. I usually just play PVE
-
The only thing I'm not sure with, is the catapult buff. 5% seem to be a little weak, but we'll see.... Also, the tracking should have stayed, as it already is pretty weak. With the reduce on splash damage, it will be even more useless as it is already. But overall, the patch seems to be good IMO And as a striker Titan, I'm more than happy to dish out even more damage! :D

Edytowany przez użytkownika kreox09: 12/5/2015 9:19:17 AMHonestly, those changes are pretty much spot on. Striker will be more appealing to play again. HoS will still be fun without turning us into thor on steroids and overall I really can't see how people would be unhappy with those changes. Also everyone loves a defender! Titans ftw!
-
Penis poll!
-
With less tracking and slower hammer speed, blink could possibly be a guaranteed evade. Will have to see it in action. Defender Titans still left out in the cold though.
-
I love the melee range and catapult buff. The sunbreaker nerfs seem great. Sunbreaker beat out both subclasses by a mile so it's nice to see it worked into it's own thing that will require smarter play and be more challenging. I'm happy to see striker get buffed I just don't know if it's enough. But still, I'm very happy.

2 OdpowiedziGunslinger, BladeDancer, Striker, Defender, void walker, sunsinger... Long ago, the six subclasses lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the SunBreaker attacked. Only the old Bungie, master of the Halo series could stop them. But when the world needed them most, they vanished. A couple years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Bungie, masters of cutting content. And although their nerfing skills are great, they still have a lot to learn before they're ready to save anyone. But I believe Bungie can nerf the world.
-
As a Warlock/Hunter main, I'd say it's good. It actually makes me want to use my Titan more. And just not the Sunbreaker subclass !
-
3 OdpowiedziYou're so horrible in the crucible...

Everyone in this forum is a scrub. Gg
-
I main a hunter and truthfully, I thought the sun breaker was right the way it was. Sure it is annoying running around the corner to hear a hammer of sol activate but I'm sure us blade dancers used to be like that. Bungie needs to stop trying to balance classes because they are all going to be good in different scenarios, it just seems that the Titan is going well all round
-
I main a hunter. Personaly I never agreed with the nerf. At least one good thing is the other supers getting a buff.on my old titan I always enjoyed void but started a new to go through the story with her.
-
I think it's a decent patch - as far as I can tell without playing it. The extended melee range is a long needed change, compared to the hunter's throwing knife it still lacks power though.
-
John Lewandoski was a retard, good thing it's from someone with a brain and a good idea on how to balance classes
Now if we could just get arcblade back to it's HoW status that'd be great.
11 OdpowiedziThe tracking nerf was unnecessary. So was the cauterize nerf, at least to that extent. 3 seconds is a long time in a firefight. And what about PvE? That perk was epic when plowing through thrall using only your fists. 1.5 seconds would have been plenty, and kept it from impacting PvE too much. Why the hell is there even a cool down on transfusion? The odds of getting two kills back to back with either SC or SF are absurdly low. And while we're on the topic, I noticed that Bladedancer regen doesn't have a cool down. Funny how that works.

2 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika what's a primary?: 12/5/2015 9:07:39 AMDude scrubs are always going to complain because they suck di ck if something kills them is op. let's see what they cry about next I think is going to be snipers. Agree?
-
Edytowany przez użytkownika Majora: 12/5/2015 9:23:40 AMTo be completely honest...the hardest part of this nerf is that if we die while in Hammer mode, or don't get a kill, or somthing bullshit happens...we are gonna blame this nerf, get mad, and go make a burrito.
-
So they basically ruined our only mobile super. But since I enjoy playing as a Striker anyways, I like the changes they made to that subclass. Now all the pussies will bitch about Striker because that's all you will see. PvP whiny pussies making Bungie break the game all the time.

2 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Octeza: 12/5/2015 9:00:42 AMSlowing down the hammers makes sense. Remember the old spam hammer patch? You can still technically throw two hammers really quickly as long as you have a useable grenade. Or if you year one with your titan, three hammers because Armamentarium Exotic Chestplate. Extra Grenade for those Armor Nübs.
-
Flopped on the defender
-
To be honest i was thinking after reading this of going back to striker. Kinda miss the two lightning grenades. Interested to see when the dunemarchers will be released them, mida and shoulder charge oh my.
-
19 OdpowiedziA nerf was going to happen because they want to reduce the KD to 1. But looking at this chart, if I'm understanding it right, why not also nerf the hell out of all the Hunters subclass so there wouldn't be so much of them around in the name of balance. 40% are Hunters in PvP 18% are Nightstalkers 13% are Gunslingers 9% are Blade Dancers 30% are Titans in PvP 21% are Sunbreakers 9% are Strikers 2% are Defenders 30% are Warlocks in PvP 10% are Stormcaller 10% are Sunsingers 10% are Voidwalkers Looking at this, Warlocks are the most balanced class. Hunters are the most overplayed. And Titans have only 1 class that can compete with the rest and that was a Sunbreaker. So let's nerf it and make players use Defenders and Strikers? Logical sense doesn't make sense at Bungie because they probably don't even play their own game to know Hunters are everywhere in PvP. If balance is all so important then why not buff Defenders with Gunslinger weapon abilities. Nerf Nightstalkers and Bladedancers evasion and speed. Or nerf a Gunslingers grenade and knife throw spam plus it's Golden Gun range. I used to brush off all the Bungie hate. Now I get way there's so much salt around these forums about Bungie. Oh well
-
13 OdpowiedziI'm most disturbed on the Flameseeker loosing it's recovery and agility boost. Didn't really make sense to have those boost for that perks tho...
-
I main a Hunter in pve and titan in pvp. The increases the other 2 classes are getting are going to be so nice.

3 OdpowiedziThis game just keeps getting worse. Especially for titans
