As a sniper... Why is everyone upset all of a sudden?
I've been sniping since I got Destiny. I've heard people complain about fusion rifles. Nerfed them. Shotties? Nerfed, and then nerfed again. It seems like people are wanting snipers to be nerfed as well? Why? Im not trying to start an argument I just want to hear it from someone who isnt a sniper. I think sniper kills (non-revive) are well earned. You are vunerable while ADS, you can do nothing really if someone rushes while you focus, and its a 100% hit or miss situation. A body shot when theyre behind cover, and you just used your nade is a wasted shot and happens more often than you think. So opinions? Should sniper rifles be nerfed? If so, why do you think that? Open to different opinions. :)
Note: I do think revive snipes are bs. Revive shot gunned is also bs.

Idk.... I am not even good. I still bitch the second I get killed. But one I spawn I'm over it. I use snipers and side arms. Better with side arms but snipers at least pissed people off by knocking off their shields. I get a lot of assists haha

Because you took away the power of my sniper put er downer aka invective. I used to rush em an blast 4 rounds out at about 20 feet an mow em down. Now it takes 6 if the gardian is 6 ft tall. NOW YOU NERF IT TO MELEE RANG.. FN ASSHOLES

The rest of snipes are perfectly balanced EDIT: I need to revise my statement. The 1000ys it's self is not OP. The high target acquisition roles that can come with it are too OP for it. I do not think snipers need to be nerfed. They are fine where they are @. DO NOT NERF-HERD SNIPERS!!!!

I think it's not one sniper that bothers people, it's the team of snipers with LITC. If you hits with a body shot the next one can either shoot you with a regular one or a sniper shot. You'll see a bunch of snipers doubling up.

Well, how do you use your sniper? Hard-scope or quick-scope? Long or short range?

I find PvP fun with the way special ammo is and how special weapons perform. I use a sniper aswell. I play solo and have no friends so i don't know how ToO players would feel about it.

11 OdpowiedziThe map for Trials is a sniping map, a lot of people are dying by way of the snipe and it infuriates most to feel like they don't have a shot. Snipers do not need a NERF! They are meant to be deadly at long rands and near useless at close and they are. Nerfs are for broken guns and the sniper are being used exactly how they are meant to be used.

1 OdpowiedźPeople have always been annoyed with snipers, for obvious reasons like cowardly play etc.. Since the gazillions of shotgun nerfs, alot of people has picked up snipers. This has made it obvious to more and more players, how awfully boring it is to play in games in which atleast half of the team is jerking in a scope. Bungie should just reduce amount of special ammo for especially snipers, so u cant use it as a primary..

15 OdpowiedziMy only problem is when you have players camping, waiting for people to show up in high traffic lanes to pop a shot at head level. By the time you see the glare, you're already dead. Also for objective based game modes, I find the snipers on my team aren't contributing at all, opting to rather worry more about their own KDR than the teams overall performance. NOT all snipers are like this and I acknowledge well placed shots by snipers who aren't camping.

Those crying nerf, saying AA is to much on these guns. did you know that 3 snipers in year 1 had more AA than the 1K stare. Yes they didn't have Hidden Hand then, but there is no guarantee to get that on a sniper now.
