Why are full fireteams 4700+ grimoire players playing Classic 6v6?
So my boyfriend just got me into Destiny since I like PvP in other games. I start up the playlist that he says is the easiest, Classic 6v6. Every game it's high level, flawless emblem players? Even full fireteams of 4700+ grimoire players? Why?
Are the new maps that bad (haven't tried regular control or clash or whatever) or are people that desperate for stat padding?

Old maps>new maps, like playing mix of clash/control/combined arms without going to orbit.

Because the dlc maps are terrible.

There is a perceived advantage in playing only those old maps we know like our own living rooms.

because they can play whatever they want esp since thier grimoire indicates they are seasoned vets that have spent lots of time and money on the game and have more room to voice complaints and play any way they want to than a noobie

I play it for combined arms because you can't play those two big maps on any other mode

2 OdpowiedziLol no, they play in the classic playlist because they know all the new players are there so they go pub-stomping on level 20's to feel better about themselves. If you do good in Classic PVP, don't think you're good. You're playing most of the time against lower and newer players. I'll go into classic PVP every now and then, but when I accidentally destroy the other team, I have to remind myself that I'm actually garbage lol and I got lucky

i play Classic 6v6 because I like the mix of modes. sometimes I want to go from Control to Clash to Combined Arms without having to go to Orbit between matches.

Sometimes it's fun to shit on people lol. Personally though that's what I que up for when I get a new gun and want to test it out. If it succeeds there then I try reg 6v6 or skirmy. You can't beat those old maps tho

Pub stomping is fun in small amounts. Plus I don't feel bad about using thorn or messenger in the classic playlist. Using messenger in the ttk playlist is a pretty cheesy thing to do.

This would be rectified if they implemented map voting so I don't have to creep in a lobby to get a good set of maps instead of the same maps in TTK lobbying system.

I absolutely hate the new maps(except bannerfall). And since they aren't really putting the new maps in for trials, I don't see the point of playing on them.
