Doctrine is good but it really needs to have counter balance as it's random perk to make it usable.

Counterbalance makes all recoil vertical, problem is that doctrine has high recoil control so it won't be very apparent on this gun. Great on something with bad recoil direction stats though

Sounds like you dont have one considering that thing is a laser in the hands of someone with decent aim. And actually counterbalance doesnt do anything, i got one with rangefinder and another with counterbalance and tested their accuracy against eachother at equal distance and found that the rangefinder was significantally more accurate. In fact the counterbalance didnt seem to work at all. I know that doesnt make any logical sense, but it seems there are a lot of perks in this game that dont work such as the exotic fabian strategy perk, the exotic stag perk, etc...
