Pregnancy is a STD
Pregnancy should be considered a std. You can only contract pregnancy from having sex, there is no other way to pass the disease to the host.
A disease is a disorder of structure or function in a human, animal, or plant, especially one that produces specific signs or symptoms or that affects a specific location and is not simply a direct result of physical injury.
Pregnancy disrupts most function in the body. When women become pregnant alot of the times they are sensitive to smells, they become more emotional, they eat funny foods. These could be categorized as symptoms of a pregnancy.
Other symptoms could include swollen feet, enlarged stomach and breasts, and eating funny foods. None of this is a direct result physical injury.
This is why pregnancy should be considered a std. By definition it is a disease. One that can only be contracted sexually.
Please tell me why this isn't classified as a sexually transmitted disease.

There are multiple distinct differences in pregnancy there is no pathogen sperm only fuses and does not make more sperm using the egg as a host instead permanently fusing.You cant categorize the baby as diseased though as it's not even a fetus yet and they are per mentally fused meaning sperm didn't send data to the nucleus. Those "symptoms" are either caused by stress or the natural preparations the BODY makes instead of problem made by the pathogen. Also sperm and pathogen are greatly different in composition viruses in particular as they are the only one you could mean because bacteria blatantly destroy cells. Sperm have no capsid so are immediately not a virus

Fortunately, there is a cure. Unfortunately, I don't think something that is required for people to exist can be called a disease. It's like saying that building roads is the main cause of motor accidents; technically true, but completely missing the point.
