That's it. The quest is -blam!-ing bullshit.
EDIT: Here's why:
First of all, you can't use The First Curse. Doesn't matter if the gun was unavailable until later because of the time it takes to hit rank 5 because the gun is still Tex Mechanica. There's no excuse for not allowing me to use the only other Tex gun in the game.
Next, you lose 2 -blam!-ing percent for dying, but only gain 1% for kills. That's asinine. Even an above average player would have a difficult time with this. Even with streaks counting for more points, there are so many little things that can slow you down such as lag, Fellwinter's bullshit, lag, supers, heavy ammo, lag, mlg snipers, more supers, lag, more heavy ammo, lag and finally lag. I got all the way to like 52% in one game. Why? Because I got lucky. While I'm definitely a very solid player, it helped that everyone in the match just wasn't that good. The next few games were slower, but I kept building and building without going down. Finally, I was at 82 -blam!-ing percent and suddenly I was just getting into the worst situations and after about 3 games I was almost back at 52% again. That's unacceptable. I shouldn't need to net OVER 2.0 in every game for a large duration of time for this gun. The average person can't even accomplish this without the bullshit methods people have created online or finding friends to boost them.
Lastly, they expect you to do this well with a gun that nerfed in weapon category that they nerfed. The gun was basically doubly nerfed and yet Bungie expects you go above and beyond 360 no scope from behind a wall in multiple games. That's a gargantuan, nigh impossible objective for a LARGE number of players. It's fine to add a difficult objective, but the fact one death can set you back to zero after two kills means that most people would just sit at zero for quite a long time. If you got no good streaks, you'd need more than 2.0 just to get anywhere and trading is just too often the result of gun fights. One for one would be much better. It would keep people who can't maintain more than 1.0 from getting the gun without resorting to dumb shit, but it also wouldn't alienate so much of the player base. So many people haven't done this quest simply because the first part is asking far too much of you and this is coming from somebody who was actually doing pretty well once i found a groove.

2 OdpowiedziJust equip the gun and go on a mayhem rumble. You don't need the kills with it, just have it equipped.
-
It really isn't that hard. And Im an average crucible player.
-
Pretty sure there are more than 2 tex guns, unless you arent counting the chaperone
-
Play call of duty or halo then so you can just be handed everything
-
Title is hilarious. But yes I agree.
-
I feel your pain brother! I have been trying it for weeks and just cannot get it. My clan and are thinking of trading kills in order to get so maybe that might be an option for you?
-
i completed it in trials the second time. it's not that bad.
-
Play rift. Camp your rift with a shotgun. Took me two games doing that.
-
24% after 1 month.

11 OdpowiedziDestiny is great because it has this difficult content in it. Too many games dumb down gameplay as people like yourself moan about it. You have two options 1. Man up and accept the challenge. 2. Give up and stop your bitching.

I suck at pvp and got both guns done if I can do it anyone can

*puts on an antic disposition* I'm generally not very good at PvP. And then I equip a decent shotgun.
Or for larger maps I discovered that I'm actually decent with a sniper.
Just find a build that you think would work well in PvP, and find gear that's good too. You'll find yourself doing better. Also if you don't like shotguns then use any omolon fusion. I don't know why but they seem to be freaking awesome in crucible.
-
Just remember to use a super that can kill multiple enemies in one shot (Fist of Havoc). Play sone Control matches, wait for a group, then unleash. You get more points for kill streaks.
-
You don't need a Crucible focused gun if you are bad at Crucible to begin with. The Chaperone takes a lot of skill to use effectively, you would most likely just vault it.
-
I got it along with a few friends. It was not easy but it was completed. There were a couple of people who we had to help out in my clan but I think all but 1 of us have it done and that person said they don't do crucible and won't do it to get a nerfed shotty that could be nerfed even more any day now. (not my words on the shotty nerf) I do think they are just swinging and missing with what they are doing though.

Crying won't help you, but gitting gud will.

Me = bad Jolly Holiday = done on my account You can do it too, buddy.

-
I just had friends help me in rumble. Go for head shots, they are worth more then 1%
-
It's not that bad and I'm in no way a pvp player. My k/d is below 1 and I got it done in a day
-
2 OdpowiedziStep 1 git gud
-
I got one of these renown in the crucible done in a day. It think it was a 24 Kill streak or something that does it one Not too sure if I should bother doing the two exact bounty's on my other characters though. Kind regards Richard

If you're dying, u equip the gun and you don't lose %. Equip it before you win the match to earn an easy 3%. Takes forever but is a guaranteed completion.
