That's it. The quest is -blam!-ing bullshit.
EDIT: Here's why:
First of all, you can't use The First Curse. Doesn't matter if the gun was unavailable until later because of the time it takes to hit rank 5 because the gun is still Tex Mechanica. There's no excuse for not allowing me to use the only other Tex gun in the game.
Next, you lose 2 -blam!-ing percent for dying, but only gain 1% for kills. That's asinine. Even an above average player would have a difficult time with this. Even with streaks counting for more points, there are so many little things that can slow you down such as lag, Fellwinter's bullshit, lag, supers, heavy ammo, lag, mlg snipers, more supers, lag, more heavy ammo, lag and finally lag. I got all the way to like 52% in one game. Why? Because I got lucky. While I'm definitely a very solid player, it helped that everyone in the match just wasn't that good. The next few games were slower, but I kept building and building without going down. Finally, I was at 82 -blam!-ing percent and suddenly I was just getting into the worst situations and after about 3 games I was almost back at 52% again. That's unacceptable. I shouldn't need to net OVER 2.0 in every game for a large duration of time for this gun. The average person can't even accomplish this without the bullshit methods people have created online or finding friends to boost them.
Lastly, they expect you to do this well with a gun that nerfed in weapon category that they nerfed. The gun was basically doubly nerfed and yet Bungie expects you go above and beyond 360 no scope from behind a wall in multiple games. That's a gargantuan, nigh impossible objective for a LARGE number of players. It's fine to add a difficult objective, but the fact one death can set you back to zero after two kills means that most people would just sit at zero for quite a long time. If you got no good streaks, you'd need more than 2.0 just to get anywhere and trading is just too often the result of gun fights. One for one would be much better. It would keep people who can't maintain more than 1.0 from getting the gun without resorting to dumb shit, but it also wouldn't alienate so much of the player base. So many people haven't done this quest simply because the first part is asking far too much of you and this is coming from somebody who was actually doing pretty well once i found a groove.

1 OdpowiedźI just imagine you frantically typing while blinded by rage tears. This is seriously pathetic man. Have some dignity.

2 Odpowiedzi.87 K/D & I have the Chaperone.
equipped TLW at the end of winning matches. +3%
-
If you're on PS4 add me and we can help each other do it
-
Yeah I'm sure my K/D is around .55, that being said waiting on reset to pick up my brand new chaperone( probably messed up that name). The key is to know when you're hot and when you're not. Obviously when your getting owned, take the damn gun off easy fix. When your on put it on! The second to the last step was super annoying tho.
-
I know how you feel, but I had it do it the non legit way.. Equip gun when super and or when you have heavy ammo and try to get as many kills as possible before it runs out, swap out TLW and repeat process.
-
1 OdpowiedźMy k/d is shit. Yet I have a 307 chaperone

2 OdpowiedziWork smarter not harder guardian. This quest gives you pts for multi-Kills, kill streaks and wins. When you have a four kill streak equip the last word to get the 5 kill streak bonus. Anytime you have your super get a couple kills before you use it then equip last word to try for a 5 kill streak or more. When you finish a game your winning equip for win bonus. Otherwise use your best weapons to build up kill streaks and switch to last word to finish it off.

3 OdpowiedziTwo words: Crucible Type. I was struggling just like you, I hate the Last Word above most guns. I was getting nowhere in the bounty- until I realized something- it just said I had to get Crucible kills. It tell me I had to go in a certain game mode to do it. So instead of Control or Clash like I was trying- I went into rumble. I only went to about 6 percent after a few matches but it was better than the 0 percent I was used to. Then I tried a game mode I never had before, Inferno. (It is currently my favorite type now.) and I gained a whopping 30 percent in a single round. After 4 matches I had made it to my 100 percent and I went on to the next part of the bounty. Inferno is on for today, take the opportunity while you still can.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Roughneck: 11/9/2015 7:21:09 PMJust do the slow "win" grind. You get 3-4% after any win. Just save up a super, hang onto it until 30s or 500pts before your team is about to win, equip The Last Word, pop your super, and get a couple quick kills before the team win registers. You'll get at least 3% and possibly more if you are able to hunt down some quick super kills. It's slow but gets the job done.

5 OdpowiedziIf only there was a glitch where you could equip the last word before you get heavy ammo and your super, then get kills with both and unequip the last word so you don't lose progress...oh wait that's already a thing. Bitch
