Seems like Bungie overextended, trying to generate more grind.
I dont really feel the urge to play anymore. I REALLY enjoy the raid, but thats about it.
I don't really remember why i used to play for hours with no set goal, but at one point i actually enjoyed it.
Now, nightfall is fairly pointless. Pisses me off. Tuesdays were always nightfall/heroics with my friends. They quit weeks ago, i doubt ill do another nightfall anytime soon.
only place to progress is hard raid or ToO (not a big fan of crappy crucible, and cheaters with no fear of repercussions).
Exotic bounties are unfun and give you mostly situational weapons.
Just feels like Bungie tried way too hard to get us to grind more, and screwed up the actual enjoyment of the game.
Yes, i realize this is just my opinion.
Edit: Wow, that's a lot of replies, and in a strange occurrence, only a couple "git gud"s. I don't know if ive ever seen so many players agree.
Edit: I wish i could reply to all of you. I gotta say, im bolstered by the fact that an overwhelming majority are if the same sentiment. Thank you all for not turning it into huge rage fest with everyone bickering and telling each other to git gud. Im just glad to see im not the only guardian that feels this way.
Edit: Funny how Bungie has something to say about "the weapons drought of 2015" and not putting raisins in your vault because you'll get ants, yet nothing to say to the disappointed players that invested hundreds and/or thousands of hours in their game.
Its cool. They prolly assume people are going to return after playing another game for a while.
I havent played in a couple days. Not playing anything else, just have less than zero desire to play destiny.

2 OdpowiedziGuys stop blaming bungie they have given you a game that you've played for over a year and most hardcore players over a year straight name other games that you've played this long and every game now has dlc that we all pay for and yes it's a grind and yes it's repetitive just take a break from destiny come back next dlc you'll see why you like it so much but it's not about bungie or anyone making you do these things it's your choice to grind for hours and hours breaks are needed from games play something else pick up another game you will still enjoy destiny everyone gets frustrated with the grind I was too but breaks deff help

Haven't you all realized that Bungie plays their fans? They experiment with a little here and there, monitor your reactions, adjust this and that, all for the sake of increasing profits under the guise of making their fans happy. They will NEVER change, and will ALWAYS try to find different ways to further monetize such a lucrative cash cow like Destiny at your expense. Destiny is the biggest anomaly in gaming to me. It's a game that should have failed, and at best have been mediocre in sales. But the opposite has occurred, and huge profits were made over the course of its lifespan. THAT is the power of marketing.

Destiny needs a content drop fast or I will probably stop playing. Last weekend was the most bored I ever was in destiny. It's also really nice seeing the community finally agreeing on something, and especially something like this. Hopefully Bungie notices.

3 OdpowiedziThe overarching problem seems to be that reward opportunities continue to be very limited. Mechanisms are still in place to discourage players from going back to older, but perfectly good content, leaving only the current raid. Four weeks after returning to this game (from the Dark Below) I've completed the hard raid a few times and find little incentive to do anything else. Bungie, your rationale for this pattern of deprecating older content clearly has to do with selling new DLC, but consider the negative aspect of losing your user base if you don't keep them engaged. The current model is not sustainable; I would argue that a good library of content sells more DLC than the promise of exclusive drops. Speaking of drops, the system is still deeply flawed with seemingly no hope for a fix. Items in loot tables that aren't commensurate with the effort expended (no one should get motes or coins for completing a nightfall), duplicate reward items (I've gotten two shotguns in the same raid despite having the shotgun in my inventory), items with lower light level than what is already equipped, or virtually no rewards at all (moldering shards) for high level content are the biggest problems. I suggest: Make legacy content relevant again by updating difficulty and drops to 300+. Let people run the raid more than once a week. Correct the loot tables bearing in mind the problems above. Distilling it down to one concept: input work = output rewards. When one side is out of balance you have a big problem.

Yea, they added a stupid double RNG system (light lvl AND correct gear) on top of the already broken loot system, that's the primary reason a lot of people are getting bored and leaving soon. [spoiler]Fallout hype!!!!![/spoiler]

5 OdpowiedziI think what has angered me more than anything is the removal of elemental burns. At least for the grind you had multiple choices to find things. Hey got a solar enemy? Grab the ol' VOC. Arc? I got my time piece, or fang of ir ut. Void? Word of Crota or atheons epilogue. Now? Nerd nerf nerf, remove, add more grind. And NO WEAPON PARTS! Bleh

What's also sad is this thread has been going for over a day, has over 460 likes and over 800 in reply's. Also in that time Bungie has responded to a post with a guy joking about raisins in his vault, and a video with a guy soloing the black spindle mission. SMH Apparently Bungie is listening, the problem is they've got selective hearing.

5 OdpowiedziYa i stopped playing this game. Just come check out the forums when i get bored. Idk why, i think mainly because im not going to grind for max level and a million guns again. It was fun the first time but it's not that good of a game for me to do it again. Was a great run but they shot themselves in the foot with this dlc. Way too much grind

I know some like the strike gear and I LOVE the Imago Loop with firefly, but I don't personally care about some armor that is going to drop at 280. New strikes were better but still feel like a grind and grow stale fast. Probably doesn't help that there are only 3 new (4 on PS). 2. Gear Infusion. It's already hard enough to hit 320 using your existing highest level gear so why anyone would want to keep grinding to max level multiple gear sets that offer almost no difference in actual gameplay is beyond me. Getting exotics maxed to 320 is going to take you the rest of the year and WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!?!? 2. Nightfall is pointless if you are over 300. 3. Xur is kind of pointless too due to 280 gear. 4. 3 of coins was kind of a dumb idea with so few exotics weapons to gain through RNG. I know it's probably the best thing for getting the exotic armor, but it made getting all the weapons that weren't earned WAY too easy. 5. KF is the best part of TTK hands down, but the loot system is driving more people away then the first 2 raids ever did. Moldering shards is one of the worst ideas ever as "rewards" with antiquated ruins being not too far behind. (why is a 320 activity dropping a 300 tool?) Having hard mode drop reskins of the EXACT same weapons with higher light was also a really dumb move. For each step forward, it continues to be 2 steps back. Hoping they can pull off a Halo 2 with the next Destiny and fix their terrible overbloated engine but NOT giving the benefit of the doubt anymore. Also, GET SOME BLOODY DEDICATED SERVERS BUNGIE! EDIT: I have to say, this is one of the first posts I've seen get this much attention and not be a ton of fanboys slamming and being rude. Kind of disheartening that so many people share the OPs opinion though.

Agreed. The "fun factor" has been removed. I can't pinpoint exactly why. I think it's a combination of all the changes.

2 OdpowiedziIs see so much of this now and with more agreement than "you won't be missed". I'm sure they see this but the money has been made. There won't be jack shit till destiny 2. You can hope that all the people leaving hurts someone at bungies feelings but in reality again....they don't -blam!-ing care. $40 dlc and $5 dances put the last nail in the coffin for this games future. It'll be fun to watch it twist in the wind for a few years. Maybe even a destiny 3? Lmao!
