I dont really feel the urge to play anymore. I REALLY enjoy the raid, but thats about it.
I don't really remember why i used to play for hours with no set goal, but at one point i actually enjoyed it.
Now, nightfall is fairly pointless. Pisses me off. Tuesdays were always nightfall/heroics with my friends. They quit weeks ago, i doubt ill do another nightfall anytime soon.
only place to progress is hard raid or ToO (not a big fan of crappy crucible, and cheaters with no fear of repercussions).
Exotic bounties are unfun and give you mostly situational weapons.
Just feels like Bungie tried way too hard to get us to grind more, and screwed up the actual enjoyment of the game.
Yes, i realize this is just my opinion.
Edit: Wow, that's a lot of replies, and in a strange occurrence, only a couple "git gud"s. I don't know if ive ever seen so many players agree.
Edit: I wish i could reply to all of you. I gotta say, im bolstered by the fact that an overwhelming majority are if the same sentiment. Thank you all for not turning it into huge rage fest with everyone bickering and telling each other to git gud. Im just glad to see im not the only guardian that feels this way.
Edit: Funny how Bungie has something to say about "the weapons drought of 2015" and not putting raisins in your vault because you'll get ants, yet nothing to say to the disappointed players that invested hundreds and/or thousands of hours in their game.
Its cool. They prolly assume people are going to return after playing another game for a while.
I havent played in a couple days. Not playing anything else, just have less than zero desire to play destiny.

Too many good games out right now and soon to be released to bother the grind who's gonna choose killing 50 cabal or patrolling Venus when you could be playing halo, assassins creed and later on this month fallout 4, tomb raider or COD. Only thing I do in this game right now is raid.

I agree. On top of the unrelenting grind, it also feels like the rug was ripped out from under me on my old accomplishments. Nearly nothing I did in Year One ended up mattering anymore. While I realize this is typical MMO behavior, most MMOs are either top-down, use swords and bow, or both. Weapons don't have a 'feel' that you can grow to care about. In a FPS, that happens. I've lost my drive. There's no point to it anymore. Chances are, whatever I get is going to be lower level than what I have anyhow, so why grind for it? I'm 295 Light and I've run out of reasons to do anything.

Bungie isn't a shell of a company anymore. Too many employees fired, left for 343, or just up and quit. It's just chaotic mess right now with no end in sight. From what we have played, destiny barely left the gates to only get hit by a train.

1 OdpowiedźThe sad thing is, they did some really good things in TTK. The story and cutscenes are better than they've ever been. They improved many functions in the game. They even sorta balanced out crucible. But, like typical Bungie, 1 step forward, 2 steps back. My main gripe is the fact that my nightfall and raid runs are becoming obsolete due to a lack of actually helpful loot. I'll spend 30mins-1 hour on a night only to be rewarded with a 290 ghost shell (yay?). I'll spend 3 hours in a hard raid only to get gear with light much lower than my current gear. This stupid system is designed to make a grind. But, as the OP said, they over did it. A lot. I have never felt as burned out as I do now, and it's only a month after TTK (keep in mind I've played almost every day since the beta). I finding it hard to have a reason to get back on. Either I'm going on a hiatus, or I'm completely done, especially with other big titles coming in the future. I feel stupid for sticking with this game for so long, even after I saw all of my freinds slowly leave Destiny. Vent over.

Wait you really get ants in your vault? Lol. What happens? I finished that stupid little quest and haven't really been on since.

This same thing kind of happened to me around the launch of TDB. People trickled out of the game and I sort of lost interest in doing the grind just for the sake of grinding (since there was really no evolution in gameplay from Vanilla to TDB). I've come back to play a little bit for HoW and TTK, but my interest never came back like with how strong it was with Vanilla.

2 OdpowiedziYeah, they made some solid improvements with weapon balance, storytelling, the raid experience and the mysteries of the dreadnaught, but the grind has left me feeling defeated unlike any other destiny incarnation. I always had three characters in top form for any activity. With TTK I've only completed every quest on one character with a second character just far enough to run the normal raid. I haven't touched my third. Infusion is ridiculous. It would only be worth it if it were a true transmog system where we're infusing perks along with light. As is, why waste materials on infusion when you can just use higher light level gear? I feel like I'm never going to have the luxury of infusing multiple sets of gear for different loadouts, so I'm stuck just using whatever is the highest light level so I can get back to the grind...for what? I don't know. I'm definitely feeling the burn. I still play with friends and have a blast, but my days of playing solo to complete bounties and such are over. There is no carrot on a stick for me anymore. The labor put in has drained my enthusiasm for any drop I may get.

I agree with you completely. I will start Friday with BO 3 and continue with Fallout 4. I only started playing Destiny to fill in time between games anyway, never intended to play this much to begin with. Played 3 hours last night and accomplished nothing, a few Legendary Marks, after breaking junk down, and that was all I had to show for it. And do not get me started on the damn Weapons Parts!

How else are they going to make this game last 10 years?

I am torn myself. I really liked the light level for leveling up, and even normal raid. But when I do the hardmode and get a 310 HM sniper and a 311 ghost.... That's not cool! Before you got hardmode gear in VoG and Crota. You earned it (well some of us) But now it's just an endless grind for 320. I love this game. Oh how I love it! But this is really pushing me away. I'm happy with the content and game play. I just want my hardmode gear to be 320.
