Seems like Bungie overextended, trying to generate more grind.
I dont really feel the urge to play anymore. I REALLY enjoy the raid, but thats about it.
I don't really remember why i used to play for hours with no set goal, but at one point i actually enjoyed it.
Now, nightfall is fairly pointless. Pisses me off. Tuesdays were always nightfall/heroics with my friends. They quit weeks ago, i doubt ill do another nightfall anytime soon.
only place to progress is hard raid or ToO (not a big fan of crappy crucible, and cheaters with no fear of repercussions).
Exotic bounties are unfun and give you mostly situational weapons.
Just feels like Bungie tried way too hard to get us to grind more, and screwed up the actual enjoyment of the game.
Yes, i realize this is just my opinion.
Edit: Wow, that's a lot of replies, and in a strange occurrence, only a couple "git gud"s. I don't know if ive ever seen so many players agree.
Edit: I wish i could reply to all of you. I gotta say, im bolstered by the fact that an overwhelming majority are if the same sentiment. Thank you all for not turning it into huge rage fest with everyone bickering and telling each other to git gud. Im just glad to see im not the only guardian that feels this way.
Edit: Funny how Bungie has something to say about "the weapons drought of 2015" and not putting raisins in your vault because you'll get ants, yet nothing to say to the disappointed players that invested hundreds and/or thousands of hours in their game.
Its cool. They prolly assume people are going to return after playing another game for a while.
I havent played in a couple days. Not playing anything else, just have less than zero desire to play destiny.

I went through all the post and literally saw maybe less then 15 comments that questioned or simply felt against what the OP was trying to convey. The rest of us [b][u]AGREED.[/u][/b] Hopefull Bungie see's this thread and realizes that they have a building problem. If this thread is any indicator as to the reflection of current users mindsets, perhaps its more widespread then we think, folks on the outside of the forum an other sites are probably discussing the same thing. If this thread gets removed, it'll be a perfect martyr for the pent up feelings.

5 OdpowiedziHonestly I love destiny. I've spent many nights playing this masterpiece. Vanilla destiny made me feel like a wide eye schoolboy touching his first boob. It was that good. Most times I've hated the RNG but I was addicted to the chance I may get ghorn or a piece of gear that would get me to 30. Everyone remembers the period when they were forever a lvl 29. I used to worship the kids I would pass in the tower who were a lvl 30. Xür was a giver of gifts because the exotics were actually "exotic" and rare to find. Not like it is now. Just do one story mission and a few quest and you get it. Before when you would see a player in the tower with his head on fire you knew he went through some shit to get it. Yes in the start everyone looked the same but if you had a full set of raid gear in vanilla the girls would swoon when you walked by. That is what TTK lacks. The hunt for new gear. The grind was worth it if it meant I would become legend. The nightfalls and heroics would give you more than just strange coins and loot, it gave you respect. We did the same missions day in and day out to try to get whatever RNGesus would bless us with. TTK lacks the jealous envy you get when you receive your third no land beyond from the nightfall when your buddy gets Gally. I don't know if I would ever find a game that brought on as many feelings as Destiny. I hope Bungie can repair the mistakes they made. I would love to waste more of my time on this game bust as of right now I no longer get butterflies in my stomach when I'm waiting to see my nightfall rewards. That is if I do the nightfall. I no longer race to get some coins to pay off Xür when he come because his exotics are subpar to some of my Blue weapons I find. What's that about? I hope Bungie finds a cure because my childhood romance with Destiny is over.

1 OdpowiedźBeen playing this game since day 1 and I also started to get this feeling today after raiding. I think if they dont change this game (mostly the loot drops) I may put it down till the next dlc. Because now your not only looking for those "raid boots" your looking for 320 "raid boots". Only to have the light level raised a month later rendering all that grind for 320 gear a waste of time.

1 OdpowiedźMy friends and I talk about this all the time. Bungie tried to get a "replayability" factor, but there's no incentive to replay anything this game has to offer. Now it's a huge grind fest.

6 OdpowiedziI have a similar thread to this floating around. Got a ton of replies, and like you said, almost all were in agreement. I have decided over the weekend that this is enough for me. I will not continue to play Destiny. I was majorly addicted. As a father with a very demanding job, I played a LOT more than I ever should have. Last night I logged off and asked myself.... "Do you REALLY want to do THIS for 10 years?? This game isn't even good.... and with each DLC they nerf all progress.... Do you really want to restart this grind every time more content shows up...? And with TTK we see that the grind CAN and WILL get worse." And what did we pay for TTK????? We paid THAT much money for a handful of missions and ALL of our progression to be lost for the entire previous year??? For the grind to be literally doubled??? Shouldn't they have paid US for that lost time? They simply don't care. They released a game without a story. Marty O'Donnell isn't around anymore, which means Bungie will NEVER have the same quality sound from any release that he hasn't touched. Micro transactions are now the new way to get desirable cosmetic enhancements. Time to leave guys. Battlefront is around the corner. Play the Halo 5 campaign. Fallout 4 is coming. There are SO many quality experiences out there, there is absolutely no reason the stay with the shell of an experience, only to have all your work tossed in 1 DLC delivery. And it will happen again, just watch. Sorry Bungie but you guys decided to cater to the 15 year old kids that can play 12 hours a day and don't know the value of time. I think you SEVERELY underestimated how many of us players are now moms and dads ourselves, and aren't interested in your manipulation. Games like THIS are why people consider this medium a child's toy. Look at Destiny, it's geared for children. The rest of us need to go find a quality experience to spend our spare time, cause it's getting too rare to give to a game like this. The 15 year old kids can have it.

Bungie is like a "Bad for you" Girl, you Love her and plan to stay with her forever, sure sometimes you need time for you alone or friends (other games) but you will always happily return to her. Unfortunately that's not enough for that Girl so she makes a scene everytime you are not 100% focused on her, and starts evil plans like forgetting to take her contraceptive pill. With a child on its way she is sure to chain you forever no matter what. Dumb thing is, once you realize that she's bad you will be gone for good.

The best thing I've gotten from the nightfall was a 305 shotty which I infused into a sniper. Now all of my gear is 305 or higher. There is no "gally"esque weapon to hopefully get from the nightfall, and without the XP buff or faction rep, there is legitimately no reason to do the nightfall.

Yeah, lots of work and minimal reward! I agree though, they have seriously upped the drawn out grind. Trying to get Sleeper Stimulant and did laps on the moom for 1/2 hour. Public even timers ran out an NO PUBLIC EVENT! :( Bungie is just cutting back too much. Still feel they need to allow us to ascend/Infuse past raid weapons plus bring back elemental primaries! Though with TTK, this is the first time I have a set of gear for my primaries. :) Wish they would add more Hand Cannon ammo though!

You rarely get that satisfaction of getting a reward now because it may just be worse than what you already have. There is no more excitement, just praying to RNG. Xur is now pointless, as at this point in time, most people have gear 310+, and buying a 280 item would just be wasted in infusing the items you kinda want.

Breaks are good. You know the old expression: if you love someone, set them free. If they come back, they are yours. Same thing with games and Destiny. If you had fun, great! If you're bored, do something else. If you want to come back, great! If not, do something else fun.

The hard mode raid drops are the most broken part of Destiny and make me not want to spend the time anymore.

More grind? Yeah I think that's what everyone wants. More grind and even less rewards. That was sarcasm. This game is horrible. Glad I erased it. Other players with a little more courage can do the same thing.

Not only did they take away half of the good year 1 exotics, but we are left with mostly shit. Where the hell is Astrocyte Verse and Nothing Manacles? I don't want Voidfang to be my only choice for pvp as a voidwalker. Btw fix ammo boots having 2 rockets with my Suros is super annoying. Fusion should work for sleeper too.
