The best open world video game ever made is coming out in 9 days. Yes i am talking about fallout 4.
Finally a game worth playing on new gen. Unlike destiny who has no special feature what so ever.
Thanks for keeping me busy for a while bungie but im done with you.
Edit 1: this is where we see the age difference. Kids these days dont understand the fun of playing a solo game and go through it 100% without checking stuff online to help you out.
Back 5-10 years ago we didnt have internet to held our hand while playing a video game. People will understant what i mean.
Edit 2: funny how people are calling me a kid and throwing insults at me. Im 27 and yes back 10 years ago i was 17 had a video game console but never had internet at home. None of my friends had internet at home. So if you were using internet to find glitches in games and easy ways to beat lvls good for you.
When i was a teen my mom would kick me out of the house if i was playing video games to much.
Im really greatful to her that she raised me that way.
Unlike all the overweight kids these days that are having a hard time going up and down the stairs.
Edit 3: funny how you guys say that ww didnt have internet 5-10 years ago. Guess i need to explain myself more. Yes we had internet in the 90s and early 2000, what i ment by that is that we couldnt use internet like today to help in video games. YouTube was not around and was not popular like today. People didnt have smartphones like today. Forums were not trendy online.
Please stop insulting me for not understanding my post correctly. Try to argue like an adult.
And if you are the exception that somehow had internet at home in the early 90s and that you grew up cheating and looking stuff up for stupid video games well good for you! Hope you have a wife and a job to back up your tough attitude online.

5 OdpowiedziI'm with you. Gonna date myself a little, my first system was the Atari 2600. Back in the 70's/80's the Internet was not around. Most every game was solo, multi player was pass the controller back and forth. Most of the games I've played were single player so I am more of a solo player.
-
Wouldn't say it's the best open world, more one of the best.

Mhm, November 10th, the day that I am to be tragically stricken with severe man flu… could well last until Thursday.. Or maybe I'll just try again in the next week. I'm owed some time.
-
These fallout fans are like MGS fans... Except they're everywhere.
-
F**k Bungievision. Fallout 4 all day.
-
BBS in the 90s. Always online games are lazy, as they rely on other players as assets for the game experience....
-
Remember remember, the 10th of November -V

2 OdpowiedziWhile I am to waiting on Fallout 4 the only notable thing to remember on Nov 10th is 240 years ago the US Marines came to light...................... In a bar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Semper Fi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
The internet was definitely there to help 5 years ago....
-
I'm looking forward to it, I haven't played Skyrim properly in over a year, it's going to be good to be reminded what it's like to play a real game
-
Fallout is fun for solo play. As for Destiny, is fun if you play with friends.
-
Game Genie.

-
It's not out yet and nobody's played it, so it's too early to say it's the best open world game ever made. Between witcher 3, red dead redemption and GTAV, fallout4's got its work cut out

1 OdpowiedźEh, I'm 26 and have had an Xbox live account for 10 years, so we did have a more-than capable internet 10 years ago. However, I will agree, it wasn't quite the same back then. I don't recall many people looking online for video game level solutions back then. If you were to roll it more into the 10-15 years ago timeframe, I think that would be a bit more accurate. 15 years ago, we were hitting the dialup territory and a time where people weren't exactly well versed in how to use the internet yet. Buying a game guide-book was much more of a common thing 10 years ago for sure.

3 OdpowiedziI wouldn't count on Fallout 4 being so open-world. Fallout 3 was much more "coordoor-y" than people are willing to admit. ive pumped into invisible walls when trying to make my own way about, and some places "funnel" you through them. its just disguised alot more cleverly. new vegas was better in that regard though, but from what ive heard of Fallout 4, it sounds like the devs are trying to temper expectations. "its going to be much mor elinear to focus on story more" sound slike "dont expect to be able to do things like you could in Skyrim". not to say it wont be a good game, but im just saying this is my interpretation of one of my most beloved game developers (ok, worshipped game devs). Fallout 4 is definately going to be a good game, but "best open world game ever"? I wouldn't hold my breath. (mostly just by the "open world" standard only.)

Edytowany przez użytkownika Ness_MK: 11/3/2015 8:14:27 PMI used the Internet for most of my solo games as a kid. Mainly looking for glitches and cheats after beating them multiple times, but there were plenty of forums regardless. This was around '97-'02 by the way. Started getting made fun of for gaming and as a kid, being made fun of sucks so I stopped playing for a year or two.

i understood your post... i think fallout is appealing to a certain person... not limited to age and wanting to look online. i for one loved skyrim and it was solo but cannot stand ESO which is online. I enjoy FPS online like CoD and Destiny along with whatever destiny calls a open world. it reminds me more of zombies in CoD which i also really enjoy. but fall out doesn't push my buttons that way.
-
Ya I can't wait for Rise of the Tomb Raider either.
-
Can't wait
-
The amount of hours I have in skyrim is roughly equal to the amount of hours there is until fallout 4
