If you make TOM a requirement for oryx (normal)...
Your a bad player period I recommend anyone that sees posts requiring Tom and a ridiculous light level to avoid even applying to join these type of players. They are usually the worst, know it all type and most Whiney of players. A raid is never fun with players like that. So do yourself a favour and don't join them.

I have a steady raid team and already have had a couple of hard mode completions before getting ToM. Its not needed even on hard. I finally just tracked down my last fragment and got the gun yesterday. Look forward to using it but an LFG requirement to have it on normal mode would make me skeptical of the team's aptitude.

2 OdpowiedziI have my own group to raid with, so I've got an outside opinion on this. Regarding LFG, I feel like having certain requirements for your team would be more like insurance against bad players. 'You're kinda bad, but you've got G-horn? Good enough, I guess.' That's just how I see it, anyway.

6 OdpowiedziWith how easy it is to acquire ToM what is the problem? If you don't have it by now...doesn't that indicate a lack of understanding of the raid? I recognize that you need to beat the raid in order to acquire some of the pieces needed for the quest but it's been enough time since the expansion dropped and even most casual players with an intention to raid should have easily finished the quest. Anyone who has competed the raid recognizes that without a high quality sniper (Eireen, 1000yd stare, black spindle) and/or ToM then you're really making the raid SOOOOO much more tedious than it needs to be. Most recruiting posts are absolutely justified in clearly stating their expectations up front. If it hurts your feelings then you need to seek counseling and there needs to be major rehabilitation on your emotional health. Join a group on the100.io or another LfG type resource and find a way to acquire the basic resources which greatly improve the efficiency of a raid run. There is nothing wrong with not being a stud player capable of carrying someone. There is nothing wrong with needing to be carried. There is something wrong with this politically correct over protective BS that attacks anyone for being honest. There is so many of you pansies that I can't imagine you all haven't banded together and you can spend countless hours trying to kill the sisters with all your exceptional jumping skills and no ToM. If you're on hardmode and don't like the 310 plus requirement it's because it is such a pain in the ass and so frustrating when you try to keep a squad together and he only people that never want to leave are the three 307 guys that are holding the rest of the group down. I've been that dude which is just inherent for any semi-casual gamer. Don't hold everybody else down and bow out with some respect for your friends. If they want to carry you or if you're sufficiently holding your own then more power to you. If you're three hours plus into the raid and still working to get enough damage on Golg or if you keep dying during Warpriest or any phase then nut up and give it a go next week. Keep working your light up, get that damn ToM, infuse up a quality sniper, and stop crying foul or blaming others. There are MORE THAN ENOUGH RECRUITMENT LFG RESOURCES that nobody should be whining!

If at least two 305s have ToM, and everyone else is knowledgeable, then you'll be able to stagger him. No need for people to be such hardcore perfectionists.

3 OdpowiedziI ask for ToM for HM. If you don't have it, you're not dedicated enough to wanting to finish HM to be in my fireteam. Simple. It's not like it's RNG based.

You guys are lazy. Everybody should have a tom. My friend did three characters. For tom. It's not that hard. I have defeated oryx alot. I like tom because there alot of people that sucks in here and don't trust randoms.

Sept. 18th Ttk dropped. It's been 6 weeks since that day. There is no excuse for not having a TOM by now. If someone doesn't have a TOM do yourself a favor and avoid raiding with them at all costs. Clearly, they have not done enough in the game to be considered raid worthy.

I've got ToM, and I see that it does make the fights with the daughters and Oryx go faster, but it's not that big a difference. A great sniper I feel is a bigger requirement for the raid than ToM.

I can make any requirement I want because guess what? If I make a group then you aren't going to waste my time. Usually my requirements are perfectly reasonable like 290/300 for normal and 300/310 for hard. You need to stop with the mindset that you have, it's toxic. People can play how they want with who they want. What makes you think you have any say in the matter?

It seems that these requirements are the result of children and squeakers who were carried through the raids and received the blessings of rng. I myself was victim to this same evil. Joined a group of squeakers who were on oryx. Half of them didn't know the mechanics yet they were around 300 light. They were all arguing who was better based off of light level and ToM. It was the most painful thing I've ever listened to.

8 OdpowiedziThe amount of people defending this behavior is ludicrous, especially considering none of them are acknowledging the fallacy of the logic in requiring Touch of Malice for the Raid. It'd be like requiring the Mythoclast to run Vault of Glass, in Year One.
