Why does everyone think 1000 Yard Stare > Black Spindle?
So I've seen a lot of posts about how 1000 Y.S. is better DPS than B.S. However this is impossible: the black spindle effectively has an 18 round magazine that you don't have to reload. Over the course of firing all your special ammo, BS will get more damage done in a given period, eg the damage phase on Warpriest.
Seems to me the people claiming otherwise are just those that couldn't clear the final room on the BS mission...

Edit 2: I am talking about DPS here, not general utility. BS isn't made for being good in loads of situations, it's made for massive DPS on bosses and big targets
Edit 3: people don't seem to understand: [b][u]I am only talking about DPS[/u][/b]. I don't care that it's legendary/more versatile/whatever, I'm making a point that in terms of pure DPS, the best that TYS can do is come close, and that's if you have a perfect rolled sniper and armour.

1 OdpowiedźI use spindle for mr g but I still prefer my 1000 for priest. 24 shots and while I reload dip back into weapons of light plus I like my sword for that part too just because it's fun.

For the raid I personally think black spindle is better up until the deathsingers. Beyond that point touch of malice and a high impact legendary sniper are better to use.

I have such a fast reload with the quick reload perk on my armor and my extra reload speed when mag is empty, its almost instant.

I prefer the 1000 yard for everyday stuff but for raids it has to be the spindle its simply the quickest way to get damage for warpriest n golgoroth. You can always tell if you happen to wipe who uses a spindle

Have both and I only use BS somtimes 1000 yard just feels better.

I've been using 1000 yard stare since Normal raid dropped and am rarely out DPS'd by anyone. I like to run Zhalo/1000/LMG or Scout/1000/Sleeper. Black Spindle is a great alternative on daughters if you don't run TOM and is great for Warpriest/Golgoroth. I just prefer my set up more.

I have a beautiful 310 1000 yard with 5 rounds and hidden hand that I used to use for Warpriest and Golgoroth, but then I finally leveled up my Spindle and the damage was noticeably higher. For daughters and oryx, I'll use 1000 yard with Touch of Malice.

For PvP i'm assuming. 1000 Yard stare is the PvP choice and well for PvE..... It doesn't tank up an exotic slot for people who want to use Touch of Malice.

8 OdpowiedziI admit to not having a Black Spindle. However, I am able to use all 23 bullets in my 1000 yard stare on warpriest. The only time I don't is when the aura ends too early because the guy with the aura killed adds too quickly. That would affect the Black Spindle the same way. Maybe he got one extra bullet in. If you are able to use up all of your special ammo, no matter what you are using, you are doing it right.

3 OdpowiedziTYS can out damage the Spindle if you have speed reload, triple tap, and boots which let you carry 27 rounds, while also being in an aura for Buddy System. That's very specific tho.

4 OdpowiedziBecause on bosses like the Warpriest you have plenty of time to reload and still fire all of your shots. TYS carries more ammo in reserve and can drop with perks like Triple Tap and Spray and Play making it that much more effective. I will agree though that on Golgoroth Black Spindle is better since, if using single gaze strat, you'll be hard pressed to find yhe time to reload and fire all of your ammo off in one run.

1 OdpowiedźYou can use it with other weapons and pvp OVERAL the 1000 yard more effective in more game modes if your talking raid.... TOM and 1000 yard combo usually better
