Gone, Done, And Leaving...
[u]EDIT: I am back after 7ish months, my original post is below this edit, and I commented below more of why I'm back.[/u]
I have played Destiny almost every single day since its release, logged 1,900 hours of gameplay here, got every single achievement, and obtained a Grimoire score of 4,595, but none of these will continue to progress because I'm leaving.
I want Bungie to know that a huge fan of theirs is walking away, and won't be returning; here's why:
1) Bungie's treatment of their fans is horrible in too many ways from business practices, to releasing bugged content consistently, and even how they (poorly) manage these forums.
2) The community here is the worst I've seen with negativity towards each other, and there's no reason to treat another human being with genuine rudeness for next to no reason.
3) This game was designed to only reward those who play almost endlessly, and this addictive cycling reset was very bad for my life, so I'm getting rid of it before something happens in my life that I'll regret (other than the wasted 1,900 hours).
This was a good game gone very very bad, and I no longer wish to support Bungie or Activision in their current state. There are so many other games that get it right, and that's where I'll be spending my money and time from now on; either there, or on things in real life like camping, backpacking, and disc golfing.
For the community still left reading, please be nice to people here while I'm gone, it's what I've always tried hard to do, and I've equipped some of the weapons, armor, shaders, and emblems that I have left on my characters that I enjoyed using, so they are always are there looking their best!

Fair to say the forums display the absolute worst this game has to offer in terms of "community". Ironically. I've been matched with randoms who all helped each other out tremendously and showed extraordinary patience. On other matters, it does seem that a lot of us who have been around longer than TTK are getting tired.

Maybe the community is the worst you've seen because you only use the forums. It's probably one of the best out there besides this. I don't even count 90% of the forums as the community.

That's fine. You're entitled to your opinions and are an adult making a conscious decision for personal reasons. No one can make you do otherwise. I'll only ask that you actually DO leave, including the forums. There are so many people that claim they're done and they'll be leaving, etc, etc, but they continue to lurk and troll those that are still enjoying themselves. It's those types that add to the toxicity of the community and if you want to be a part of the solution, please be a man of your word. In either route, I'll be muting you, so I won't see a response or future posts. Others might not, which is why I ask you to do what you're saying you're planning to do. It's for their benefit. Pretty much it for me. I'm at least 12 full light from ATTEMPTING hard mode and I cannot get a different ghost. Stuck at 298 with 285 ghost. Since week 2. If I Nightfall this week and no ghost? Seals the deal. RNGudas more like it.

1 OdpowiedźI understand the game taking over man. Iv hit that issue myself. Iv basicly banned myself from raiding unless I'm defo 100% free that evening and if people ring me to hang out. I will drop out regardless where we are. So basicly I don't raid now. I defo think bungee need to scale back on hamster wheel before player burnout becomes a real problem

I seriously know what you mean Bungie has turned me an alpha player who did multiple nightfalls, raids, bounties, every week on all 3 characters to someone who doesn't care if he completes one on one character . They have broken the game in so many ways. I have tried to forgive them for their £40 DLC but cannot anymore, I will still pop back now and again to play but with my friends list getting smaller on Destiny who knows. The thing I can thank them for is they have broken my addiction to the game, Halo and Assassins creed has just popped through the door which actually feel great and fallout tombraider and the rest to come. It is sad in away but I am free now. Queue all the salty remarks

1. I agree with you, but it's not something that's making me stop playing a game I like. 2. I agree, but the solution is simple: go to the Destiny sub reddit. The people are nice and mature, and new information regarding the game can be found easier then on this forum. 3. ... Yeah, you are right. This is a problem, and maybe it's the smart thing to do.
