How about an apology for the Iron Banner "bug" and a reward for those who bothered to rank 5?
I mean c'mon Bungie. "Oh we discovered a bug where loot wasn't dropping"
How about a sorry for all those wasted hours?

An apology would be nice, but a reward I think not and here is why. After the first day of this past IB we had a trickle of posts pointing out the lack of drops. Of course the Desticles responded by questioning how far these players had actually advanced. After the second day, that trickle had turned into a stream of posts, but people still ignored the comments concerning lack of drops. Come the third day and that stream was a mighty flowing river of posts calling out Bungie for the lack of IB drops. So after several days people kept playing despite what was being written. If you chose to ignore the info being passed along that is all on you. I got to level 4 with my Warlock before I said enough was enough.

1 OdpowiedźI don't know if it's gross incompetence or just stright up malicious intentions, but this happens WAY too often. The first IB, " our bad, level didn't matter we made a boo boo." The Moldering Sharder are a GREAT idea, [b]HORRIBLE [/b]execution. I really like Destiny but Bungle [b]YA DONE -blam!-ED UP![/b]

I am starting to believe that when Bungie says 'we are increasing drop rates, you won't get as many duplicates, and we nerfed shotguns twice now' (still broke) that they are feeding us 'sugar pills' and not really doing anything. They just hope by saying it, that we all will think it really happened.

Every time they talked about making drops more frequent for certain things it ALWAYS backfired on us. Bungies Motto: History Loves to repeat itself, who are we to deviate from that?

I still managed to reach rank 5 with my primary & almost rank 3 with my secondary. I didn't get a single item drop that wasn't blue. But it didn't stop me from buying the pulse rifle from Saladin. I was much more annoyed this afternoon when I spent all my strange coins on exotic engrams & they all came out as Crest of Alpha Lupi, two for Hunter & one for Titan all at 290. But as annoying as these things were I have no delusions that Bungie will make it up to us in any way. Even a half hearted apology seems unlikely. The most we can hope for is that it won't be too long until they manage to fix the bugs that caused these problems. Saddest thing is that if these bugs benefitted the players they'd be fixed within days & anyone who used them would get a temporary ban or some kind of slap on the wrist. But they don't. So if we're lucky the drop rate for the next IB will be improved & the next hot fix may sort out the engram issue but until that's confirmed I won't be wasting my time buying anything from Xur. The only things worth buying from him at this point seem to be glass needles & heavy ammo.
