Today I finished the Kings Fall raid. Tbh I was so pumped to finally do it. I hadn't had much time to do it, but today.
When I first joined the group I found on the forums everybody was pissed that when they asked for 300+ I answered in a humble way saying "would you mind having a 295?"
In response, they where mostly like: "oh great, another person to carry and drag through this."
They asked me if I had any experience in the raid, I simply said "I have not the slightest idea what to do, but I can hold my own." Again, all the players got so frustrated and pissed that I didn't know anything, yet they had no idea what I was capable of as a guardian. So eventually they started the raid with me. I play the raid almost flawlessly I died only a mere 2 times! And that was when I was the last guardian standing!
More of them had trouble with the jump puzzle than I did. i mean seriously?
But no matter what, I wouldn't say "haha in light 295 and I'm better at this than you!"
Never ever once did I say anything of the sort. I just simply stayed quiet.
We fight hard until we reach the war priest. Although this isn't too far into the raid, we still manage to get stuck here. I eventually found myself leading the team. I made the callouts of the orders of pillars and everything. They all listened to me. The original party leader was extremely upset that a 295 light level Titan that he almost wished to kick out of the group, was now taking over his 304 hunter.
So we continue to fight the war priest and the team has no luck. I admit, I was no better at this either. But it seemed that people where turning against each other. People where blaming other people and I lost control of the leadership role.
Eventually the original fireteam leader spits out in the middle of the chaos "this is what we get for letting a 295 into our team"
After that sentence, there was a long pause. Nobody really spoke, because everyone truly believed that I was actually the one who they didn't have to worry about, it was him.
After about 2 more tries on the war priest, the fireteam leader finally yells "THATS IT GET THIS NOOB OUT OF HERE!!" quickly after, I here "NO NO" and "DUDE WTF" or "Wow man really cool". Then I am removed from the fireteam.
I was never invited back and I was left out with nobody to do the raid with.
Later, I get a message from the leader saying "you suck dude, kill oryx and send a clip to me when you beat it in 2 months -blam!-"
I simply reply "make that 2 hours"
He lashed back saying "yeah right kid in your dreams"
So I look on the forums and I find a full team full of people with light levels lower than 298.
This was my golden opportunity. I had to prove it to this guy that I was not holding the team back at all from my light level or skill.
Luckily we had a member that had an Oryx checkpoint. I didn't want to skip the sisters or Golgeroth (I think that's his name?)
But we did it anyway.
4/6 of us had no idea what to do. The nice leader simply explains what to do and with a lot of hard work....
1 hr and 31 minutes.
He's dead. My first Kings fall raid completion.
Right after I got the rewards, I told my group of new friends what I was there for. They all stood by for a group clip.
I inspected them all to show they had less than 298 light and sent the clip to him with my guardian Slowly clapping while Oryx's Dead and frozen body floated towards Saturns Atmosphere.
He later replied
Lol wow your a -blam!-ing idiot, that's -blam!-ing fake.
It's good to win.
Edit #1 Anyone know how to get the link of the Video from the smart glass app on iOS?
Edit #2 For the people saying I died more than just 2 times. By technicality this is true. They were team wipes that we all volunteered in. I myself died 2 times from the fact that nobody wanted to die but they did. So we wiped not wanting to wipe. So basically I died not on purpose 2 times
Edit #3
I Think I understand why you guys maybe are saying "Liar! He tried with the same fireteam 3 times!"
Well I guess that's true because we had to head into orbit 2 times because of lag. So that's the issue
Edit #4
1500+ replies!!! Thanks for the support! Stick it to the big guys eh?

Good job. LFR is AIDS. We got to golgoroth with 290s within first week before reset. Just need capable raiders with good awareness and comms. Hope that shitty raid lead chokes on his cereal watching that clip and stops stealing oxygen from non-idiots.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Unforgiven: 10/21/2015 11:41:38 PMDude I originally beat the raid at 290, when people first were running this shit when no one knew the strategies. Saying you beat it now is no big deal. I got kicked before from raids as well but I didn't make a post about it because it's no big deal, nor is beating this raid on normal mode was anything special. 2 cents

I applaud you

Need 3 at sisters I don't want to teach ppl exp ppl only
-
This is so awesome dude!!!! Hero!!!!
-
Lmao that's hilarious! If you're on XB1 add me & we'll raid together

Here's a happy story!(not really) I was doin KF with one group the whole time. Keep in mind I'm 307 light or something. I'm going through the entire raid with this one group. At the end at oryx when we finally finish the bombs we are getting ready for the final middle shooting thing and I get kicked. The leader was silent. I was like wtf. The rest of the group was like "Woooooooow dude that's -blam!-ed up" after all his friends saying this I get kicked from the party. 30 or so minutes when I joined another group and finished I get a message from a member of the earlier team. He apologized for his jerk friend and offered to help. That's my experience. Sorry for the wall ;)

2 Odpowiedzi
COMPLETIONS 1 KILLS 471 DEATHS 71 VIP KILLS 0
These are your kings fall stats. If you died 2 times the first time, then you died 69 times on your second time.
Edit #2 For the people saying I died more than just 2 times. By technicality this is true. They were team wipes that we all volunteered in. I myself died 2 times from the fact that nobody wanted to die but they did. So we wiped not wanting to wipe. So basically I died not on purpose 2 times
So you died twice then wiped like 30 times?

3 OdpowiedziYou don't need to do any of that: can't people click on your profile here and see you completed the raid? On a side note: why would the leader say "get this noob out of here" when he could just kick you? That is sketchy. That being said, your story rings pretty true. What I have a hard time with is people with tons of materials that leveled up super quick and headed right into strikes and raiding week one. I've been grinding and am 289. No help, no freebies, no 500 coins stashed. Then those people just treat you like trash. It's tiresome. I feel for you OP. Way to hang tough.
-
yea you just got in a group of scrubs with that first group who couldn't even beat the Warpriest. It happens.
-
I joined a raid team and they kicked me cuz I was better than the leader. Leader got butthurt I was taking his place. Kicked me
-
2 Odpowiedzii cant stand people that blame others for their mistakes like seriously just accept you cant play and move on.
-
Good on you

Gg dude. gg.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE! when i was that level i ran into the same issues with these wanna be elitist and had nearly the same results as you did as far as not dying nowhere near as many times as the other higher ranked people in there. most times its the people who are 295+ looking for 300+ players just so those 300+'s can carry their asses because they know they can't hold their own. If light was based off actual skill and not "luck of the drop" a lot of people would still be wearing year 1 stuff lol
-
I was 290 when I first ran the raid. Good job! Next time, leave the fireteam when someone doesn't want you there. Don't waste 2+ hours trying to prove your worth to someone when they are 100 other groups out there that would gladly take you.
-
i think it's not so much about light level ( although 290 is recommended) but a players ability to learn and apply the mechanics of the raid. so people could be 295 and not be able to do the raid, while there's 290s that will be able to complete it. i don't really think it's considered a carry unless the person doesn't understand what to do and they're not making progress understanding it or if they're simply under 290

Gaming as a culture was originally a meritocracy. We nerd to get báck to that. Good for you!
-
I'll help you get through it all... You like all people deserve to know the entire raid from start to finish. Not everyone knew going in day one. People are pathetic. And I run my 290 alt all the time. (Not the best as a inexperienced non maxed warlock) but everyone deserves to have a chance and to know all the fights by experiencing it hands on. So in the fight! Not watching videos... Doesn't do its justice. I've ran raid and completed countless times. People like you deserve the same and a full team with some damn dignity. Some people in this community are just straight scum
-
Idk why people have so many requirements. I brought a team of 5 people that had never done it yesterday and we beat it in less than 2 hours. I was the only 300+ and nobody was over 295. This raid is really easy

1 OdpowiedźLmao -blam!- that guy.

3 OdpowiedziWell done. I was sitting at 294 when I did my nightfall strike for the first time last night with no mic and I just completed the sword quest with randoms from matchmaking. Both were easy peasy. I played just as well as the higher light players after I got my bearings. When I play I know my role and I play it well. I am not a leader, but I got your back covered in every situation.

14 OdpowiedziLook, F*ck all the b*tches and haters on here! Get down from you're high horse man! Whether the story is true or a huge fabricated lie IT DOESN'T MATTER! The moral of the story is to give people a chance and help other players out when you can! If this is true now this "Original Fireteam Leader" sound like a complete and utter sore loser whiny b*tch! And I applaud Death Wizurd for his efforts! Luckily the majority of the community are cool like-minded players that don't mind giving people a chance or a hand from time to time (In my personal experiences running raid for the first time etc) Just last night I ran the raid and had to stop once we got to the daughters due to it being really late, but throughout the raid some players were struggling and you gotta just stay positive, patient and help them out and show them the ropes. (I am usually useless the first time I attempt a new raid and if it wasn't for others nobody would learn including myself).

From Smartglass, I don't think there is a way. Just search up xboxdvr.com to get it.

Good job man I hate people who think light means your skill.
