Edit: Well, you guys blew me away with this one. I posted this topic as a sarcastic shout out to the trolls that stifle the PVP conversation with attacks wreaking of their own insecurity. I thought the joke was obvious. Guess I'm not ready for the main stream. Thanks to those that supported me and those with replies ranging from "over 9000" to "a 2 foot dick", you got it. To those of you that gave answers ranging from 1.0-2.0, I have 2 words...GIT GUD!
I often see Guardians voicing their opinion on PVP in the forums get shot down and muted due to their low K/D. e.g. "LMAO, you have a 1.2 K/D noob. Git gud. STFU. Mute". I'd love to know what the minimum requirement is. I've seen people with K/D's as high is 1.7 get flamed. I'll save you the time of looking me up by telling you I'm not even in the ballpark to be qualified. However, I'd love to be able to participate eventually. Please let me know my target so I can pin it up my goal sheet and get to work. Your help is greatly appreciated.

1.3 with leanency

I say above one. You get more kills than you die. You have an opinion
-
You can form an opinion about pvp when you play a lot of pvp. KD has nothing to do with that.

I suck at crucible, yet here I am giving my opinion: anyone can have an opinion
Come fight me
Considering people look at kd as the end all be all is pretty stupid. It really doesn't matter that much. I hold my own, usually in the top 3 on my team and I'm only around a 1.0, a high of 1.3. I have finished everything this game has to offer. I don't care too much about it...and hate when is brought into a discussion as if its any kind of validation.

1 OdpowiedźMy kd is trash. I'll go 2.0 kd for a few matches then get pub stomped for five or six in a row. People always leave when the ass beating gets to bad but I always stick it out. In year 1 I definitely knew the ins and outs of crucible regardless of my kd. After patch 2.0 I haven't played enough to even learn the new maps. It was funny how in IB I could go 2.0kd on an old map only to be a lost puppy going .3 on the new ones lol. I'd say amount of time played is more important than kd because with time played you learn things that help you get that higher kd but your kd will be trash because you got beat on before you found out the new tricks.

Depends on the person, most people accept over 1.0. Honestly mines quite high like you have to be over 1.8 or something, that's not saying I look down on people it's just what I regard as respectable I don't treat you different. Like the guy I play with barely sits over 1KD
-
Considering the difference I have between regular crucible and the IB I think my low score is caused by the broken pvp. It could be that those with high KD could be benefiting from the brokenness and obviously wouldn't want anything fixed.

1 OdpowiedźTime played, matches played are good indicators of how well they know the ins and outs of pvp. Kil death ratios are not based around game knowledge, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and should discuss the games pvp mode. K/d is only one of the many indicators of how well someone plays, consistantly.

Zero. Almost everyone has an opinion and most of them suck. Just because one has an opinion does not make it valid. It's just like feelings...
-
number of games played is a far better indicator of knowledge than k/d
-
My K/D isn't the greatest, but I've actually improved a lot. I also play a lot of Control, and I play pretty aggressively. But like I said, I've improved quite a bit and almost always go positive these days.
-
I'm top 5% for k/d so in my opinion that's great. I've only had this game 4 months tho..
-
Anyone can have an opinion , but some people will have a more educated opinion based on experience not Kdr, when I say experience I don't mean you play a lot I mean you played competitively against top players regardless of your Kdr . When you play competitively you see a new aspect of the game and you can really realize what's OP and whats not .

4 OdpowiedziBtw I could care less what my K/D is, I could still outplay people while I'm using No Land Beyond
-
Anyone can have a valid opinion. If you limit people by something as arbitrary as a K/D ratio, in game where you play a nigh immortal undead lemming armed to the teeth for interstellar war... you're kinda being silly, I think. Personally, I decide who to ignore based how well they can communicate. You can have an amazing record. But if you cannot share your thoughts in a way that's not murder on my senses... well, why should I give you the time of day? The only way to learn from someone like that is to actively observe and try to outmanuver on the battle field.
