Edit: Well, you guys blew me away with this one. I posted this topic as a sarcastic shout out to the trolls that stifle the PVP conversation with attacks wreaking of their own insecurity. I thought the joke was obvious. Guess I'm not ready for the main stream. Thanks to those that supported me and those with replies ranging from "over 9000" to "a 2 foot dick", you got it. To those of you that gave answers ranging from 1.0-2.0, I have 2 words...GIT GUD!
I often see Guardians voicing their opinion on PVP in the forums get shot down and muted due to their low K/D. e.g. "LMAO, you have a 1.2 K/D noob. Git gud. STFU. Mute". I'd love to know what the minimum requirement is. I've seen people with K/D's as high is 1.7 get flamed. I'll save you the time of looking me up by telling you I'm not even in the ballpark to be qualified. However, I'd love to be able to participate eventually. Please let me know my target so I can pin it up my goal sheet and get to work. Your help is greatly appreciated.

KD is irrelevant. Experience is all that matters, and even that gets skewed over time.
-
Whole different turnout for this post...the real reason people get shot down is that they are asking for a nerf to this or a nerf to that...and sweaty tryhards like PVP the way it is...and generally KD is the easiest thing to go pick on cuz it's so readily available. I hover between 1.8-2 depending on the game type and will tell you that ALL opinions matter. But you will get some harsh criticism if you criticize PVP on the forums, or a specific part *cough* HoS *cough*
-
People that have to look up your stats to tell you that your opinion doesn't matter aren't worth listening too, you're a paying customer like them and you're allowed to voice your opinion no matter what your KD is
-
In this case, KD means shit. You can have a high KD and still be a clueless -blam!- and vice versa. Only thing you need is common sense and an IQ of 80 or higher. Thats not asking a lot but when it comes to these forums... thats asking too much.
-
No such thing. You are perfectly entitled to an opinion, and to be honest, the more you play the more informed you'll be, regardless of whether you turn into Sweaty McWonderthumbs or not ;)
-
All k/d is valid, if you only took opinions from the top players you would get skewed data
-
I honestly care more about objectives then k/d. I mean sure I could have a killer k/d just hang back and let people run to objectives. But most the time that won't get you the win. There's a lot of times where my k/d is at 1 because I'm just doing the objective and trying to win. Nothing wrong with a bad k/d and winning. Hell a couple of days ago I had 2 kills 8 deaths but I dunk the rift 3 times and ending up winning by 8k points. Idgaf.
-
If you have played a lot and have a k/d of 0.2, I'm not going to listen to your opinion
-
Not everyone who actually created the pvp element can even pvp at all. You dont have to be good to have an informed opinion, you just have to play and experience something
-
1 OdpowiedźPeople will tell someone with 3.0kd to shutup just cause they don't agree with the opinion and have too low of an IQ to actually engage in a well manered argument
-
1 Odpowiedź.000000000000000000000000000000001 is the minimum K/D to have an opinion of the crucible. If you have played it, you have an opinion.
-
Anything above 1.0 lol
-
1 OdpowiedźIn reality, coaches are not always the best players, knowledge is greater than accuracy, although I would say that.
-
9 OdpowiedziAnyone who has gone into pvp can have an opinion on pvp. Simple as that, no KD required
-
Edytowany przez użytkownika MacheteSquad: 10/22/2015 7:11:41 AMThere is no requirement anyone who says otherwise is foolish or trolling. If it is a well thought out point of view with decent examples to support their opinion than it is worth thinking about. Agree with them or disagree with them but their KD is a non factor the only factor is the opinion itself.
-
10 hours crucible is enough to have an opinion about it. KD just show how good you are. I played +100 hours of crucible, but my KD is only 1.0.. But my opinion is legit
-
Personally I think nobody should be shamed for any K/D period. When I started Destiny a year ago, I was atrocious at PvP. Hitting a mere .5 per match. Now I have improved and learned patterns to help me along and now it's rare for me to get under 1. (Unless I've had a couple of drinks haha.) Everyone's opinions matter as long as they are well thought out and not "U suk lol scrub."
-
Me, personally, I don't care about your K/D. As long as you actually have spent time in the crucible.
-
Depends on your DTR and what game mode you play. You can be a scrub running 6's with a team, nurturing your kd; or you can run 3v3 sweats and have a kd that's worse yet well earned. Thoughts?
-
2 OdpowiedziDo you play PvP? Then your opinion matters*. * = Assuming of course it's a well thought out discussion, not random hate or ludicrous ideas

You don't need a great K/D in order to speak an opinion on PVP. But, personally, I don't tend to listen too much to those with very elitist, or dramatic opinions if they're on the more extreme side of the lesser-skilled Crucible population. I do respect them, however.

742.6 K/D

Kk doesn't really matter all that much. A sniper can get 6.0 kds just by killing six people and hiding. While someone else on the ten could get 32 kills and have a 1.7 or 2.0 which is really better at crucible
