How are people suppose to get experience when no one wants to help people out? Its like job hunting... "we want people but you need experience which we are not gonna give you"
Year one was good... everyone was willing to help there fellow man out... now its just full of selfish people.
Edit: Since posting this i have discovered that not all people asshats... so im not labeling the whole destiny community... just the elitist that forgot that everyone started somewhere.
Thank you to those that helped me through the raid tonight and those that offered afterwards... now that i have a bit of experience i would be glad to offer help to those in need of it..
Xbox one Gt same as above... the O in roy is a zero feel free to add me.
Edit Edit: yes i have looked at videos... no i didnt expect to be carried. Yes i know about lfg. Yes i have a raiding party already who are unfortunatley away atm.
Save yourself the trouble of repeating what many other people have already stated.

Edytowany przez użytkownika RyanHeadric: 10/20/2015 5:31:34 PMMy PSN is RyanHeadrick I have helped about 40 groups through the raid for their first time. If you are on PS4 and need help with any parts feel free to add me. I will help you through the mechanics and if all else fails I have finished KF with a 4 man Team and we can just carry you through EDIT: I forgot to mention that due to my strange class schedule I will likely only be able to help with pieces of the Raid during the week and will prolly have to jump out after 2 ish bosses. Unless it's the weekend

8 OdpowiedziThe problem is lack of matchmaking. How about an easy raid option with MM, Bungie? I know it will not happen because Bungie knows what's best for us, right? I mean, they've done such a great job letting us play the way we want, right?

I was lucky enough to get some help leading the raid mechanics from a few British guys, but other than that almost no one is willing to raid with me. My light is 295, so its high enough that I'm not useless, but almost no one wants to do it with someone under 300 light. It doesn't help that I've done everything except actually killed Oryx at the end. People think that because I haven't killed Oryx, that I don't know the mechanics. I upgraded from the 360 to XB1, so now I don't have any of my old raid buddies to group up with either. It sucks.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Shock: 10/20/2015 4:29:31 PMOne of my biggest pet peeves about TTK is the quest system. Even members of my group are less willing to help me with something they've already done because it won't benefit their progress in their quests. Everyone is at different stages of different quests, making it harder for us to all come together and play. i.e. Me: "Hey man wanna run some Crucible? I need scout kills and wins" "Nah I'm farming fragments for ToM" or "Nope, I'm farming 3oC for exotics" or "Sorry dude, I already did that quest" or "No thanks, I want to complete my exotic sword"

360 player who teaches raids, be 275 for the first few parts, 285 if you want to do everything up to oryx, or 295 for oryx. I know you can beat it at other numbers but I think this is fair and understandable, it's for efficiency. Message xXxHunter496xXx on 360 (Not on here please) for help!

Well whats the point of helping someone do CoO when you dont get crap from it ? sorry to sound a bit rude but honestly thats why you go get your friends and team up to do stuff dont count on randoms to help you
-
Yeah I'm done helping people out anymore. I don't run the raid with anybody who hasn't done it before. I sound like a dick but oh well.
-
Ive helped and explained to 5 people once how to do the raid. Never again. Big mistake.
-
There's a inexperienced raider post un recruitment. Maybe try there? That's how I did my first couple runs

2 OdpowiedziGets on LFG Finds person Says they've beaten the raid Come in with blue fusion rifle and a rocket launcher and lie about everything and blame us Boot them Rinse repeat.
I don't mind helping but most people suck as humans and Guardians
Everyone who had experience ran the raid with no prior knowledge. Why should you get carried when you could easily find a group where no one knows what to do and learn the mechanics yourself? Watch YouTube videos?
-
Find a cool clan. You may get lucky, like I did.
-
I agree there are some barriers that exist where people put that barrier up and don't give others experience. I commented on this about a month ago and then decided to do something about it and form my own clan. Maybe that will be something that works for you. That being said, there ARE some natural barriers to doing some activities that people should insist on. Doing a raid with 280-290 experience is the absolute minimum with preference on 290 for normal. As long as you're at that threshhold you should be fine. If you ever need help just send me a message. We have it down to a system now :)

Edytowany przez użytkownika Roetter00: 10/20/2015 1:42:54 PMThis game is no different then life. Majority of people are selfish pricks that wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire... That being said there are cool people out there just few and far between
-
Nothing has changed. Shit community for a shit game. Doesnt help that the vast majority of the player base are pre pubescent teens.
Year one was good... everyone was willing to help there fellow man out... now its just full of selfish people.
People have been selfish since year one
-
Everyone was willing to help
What console are YOU on? As far as I'm concerned, nothing has changed. The Wild is still every man for himself, - form your own groups - that kind've thing.

1 OdpowiedźEver since year one I've been helping people, but I feel ever since TTK came out, I feel as though people just want to be carried.
-
4 OdpowiedziPicking up randoms is also the funnest way to meat funny ppl who you can play with in the future....
-
You're referring to selfish pricks or people who are busy and can't invest several hours carrying other people, so make a post yourself and patiently wait for good people to show. I've helped people do raids countless times. There are definitely people out there if you're willing to look.
-
Or the problem could be that everyone is so hostile when someone else tries to help them.
-
This Community is almost as Dota and LoL's so this sorta thing is to be expected

Yeah! We should all sit in the tower singing kumbaya while jerking each other off!
