I'm never going to be able to raid.
Since when did the recruitment section have a stick rammed up its arse?
I've never before had a problem finding raiding parties for VOG or CE, yet to do the Kings fall, "you have to have done it before, be 300+, have the badge etc etc"
I play this game for fun, and raid for fun. So what if my hunter is 289, I'd still like to find a group to try it with.
EDIT: So some really cool advice for leveling up that I didn't know - for example you get a high level reward for completing the Taken War quests, a and it's needed for the Touch of Malice quest.[b](Thanks Way455)[/b]

EDIT 2: I've been playing for a while and know how the recruitment section works - maybe I just couldn't see the posts whereby they weren't asking for experience. I run on quite a limited game time so can't always raid - kind of expected once you get married!
EDIT 3: a lot of good advice for levelling up being given, I can't mention all of you (as I'm on mobile and it's a pain), but thank you all. Good to see a lot of good folks handing out advice.

Start the group yourself and make the requirement 290. You may not complete it but at least you'll have a chance and maybe can make some new friends for future runs.

To be fair, I was 301 before I even touched the Raid. It's not even that hard, really. Get an Exotic Sword, get up to 300, farm ToC's for infusion fodder, profit.

There are a lot of people out there including myself that would like to help someone who hasn't done the raid yet but just knows what to do by watching YouTube or something

2 OdpowiedziI have three characters (297/293/291) and have also yet to do the new raid. For two reasons.. One being I really enjoy running through the Taken King strikes, I find them really fun. And two: time. I keep hearing how long it is, and as of right now, I can't devote hours like that to it. Now, I'm sure a really good team can fly through it. But I'd hold them back, since I've never done it. I will, eventually.

295 is extremely easy to get without running the raid, and a lot of groups take 295+'s. If you're used to running vog and CE in year one with randoms you should be used to sifting through posts like that till you find one that fits. I know I am.

1 OdpowiedźIf you need some guys who are in similar situations to run with, my group has only done it once and only the first two sections. We're still trying to go in blind for the whole thing, just tough with work. If you need some people who won't judge your light level or guns and just want to have a good time we'd be happy to invite you along. GT is same as my username. Friend me and we'll shoot you a message next time we decide to run it.

You sound like me. I've been in the raid three times. Never past the sisters. I usually make a post being honest about my experience and level. I can usually find a group in decent time. I've gotten 4 items in those runs which have brought me from 294 to 300 light. Good luck.

Crawl, walk, run Do easy raid 289 is fine get gear to get you close to 305. @ 305 you can run hard until oryx

Watch a strategy guide, take notes if you need to. Then, go to LFG and either find a team that can accept a new player if they know what to do, or lie and just make sure you don't screw up too often.

KF noob, was with a friend who has run it a few times. Posted on LFG for 4 more for casual run. I am 295. Had full fireteam in 15 mins. Ran through, lots of help and patience, unfortunately had to duck out at the sisters as it was 2am and I was lagging (tired) badly. There were no other posts like mine, everyone wanted 300+ and experience (for normal raid). So I just did my own and it was fine.

Most people will only take a 295 or higher at the lowest all I can say is do your research so you can say you know how to do the raid, it's fairly simple, I just did it for the first time yesterday

Just try to get into a clan I see a lot of clans helping their members and running people trough raids 😊 Also there are people that help others in lfr just need to find the right group ☺

You can add me and I can run you through with some people from my clan we are mainly a casual clan but some of us are skilled, none of us will get mad at you or blame you for anything and we can teach you the mechanics of every part
