What is the big deal with people who are lying about having completed the raid and pretending to know what they are doing? I mean seriously if you haven't done a part of the raid before say it.. people will not bite your head off or look down on you, if you pretend you have done it before and you haven't you just make the raid harder for everyone who has. I'm guessing destiny has become elitist where only the good can complete a raid, seriously if you haven't done it before man up and say you don't know what your doing don't wing it! What i have always loved about destiny is people will sherpa and help you so speak up and don't drag your team down!!
Edit raiding tonight send me a message if you want to play

I haven't done the King's Fall raid yet..Gonna try tomorrow night tho

I have 0 lol

People are afraid due to the million posts claiming completion is required to join a fire team. Elitists ruin the fun in this game.
-
I always regents I don't know what I'm doing, so when I do good people are amazed by my skill.
-
Here's a thought: This week we had a fireteam consisting of me and 3 of my friends (we had only gotten up to Golgoroth) and only one of my friends had finished it. We had 5 different people leave after ONE or 2 wipes and throwing us shit even though we specified we weren't experienced. Tl;Dr people are elitist assholes, and it's worse when they're squeakers. If they were mad even though they were the outsiders and we specified, imagine if we were the outsiders on an experienced team.

There are people out there that'll boot people for not having a raid completion. They're too obsessed with getting the raid done fast and getting the gear than helping a fellow player learn the raid. Yes, there are videos but some learn easier by doing than watching. That's why some feel compelled to act like they've done it.

Considering most of the recruitment posts say "must have completed the raid before and be 295+ light", it should be obvious why. The recruitment forum is completely elitist and leaves very few opportunities for new players to run it.
-
My solution: form a group of friends then raid with them. I only run the raids with the same 10-15 people. We all trust each other, are patient and end up having more fun than trying to raid with a bunch of randoms.
-
I have a few completions haha and I boot people that pretend to know what they are doing.... whenever I play with random I ask if they have ever completed it... at every checkpoint. If they say no u help them out. If they say yes but have no clue what to do they get booted.. simple as that

Honesty is the best policy I find. I've only competed the raid once and will say so in my LFG posts. I'd rather take longer to find a group who's willing to guide me a bit than lie to get in with a group who will mostly likely kick me the moment they find out.

37 OdpowiedziIf you haven't finished the raid at this point you have mental issues.

I 2nd this

4 OdpowiedziWhy, because elitist dumb-blam!-s will give them the boot.

If you have yet to run it on Xbox One, my team and I run the raid all the time sometimes even just to mess around and we wouldn't mind taking a few through. If we're ever short on players I actually go on LFG for those who have little to no experience just to run them through. If you need help add me on Xbox One, my gamertag is Nijabes.
-
My first successful completion: entered at 299 (lowest light of all members) left 303 with zero drops the whole raid and got the handcannon and machine gun for defeating Oryx with 20 shards.
-
I completed that bullshit with mostly random teams and YouTube was my go to. Good luck guardians and trust your teams, if they are legit they'll help you.
-
I pretty much just give them the benefit o the doubt and if they ask a question then I don't give em the boot. I'll help em out
-
I just wish people would watch a video first so we don't waste hours on something that should take 15 minutes
-
i dont have a problem with anyone who never do the part of the raid, but ...after we explained it so many times and do trial and error for the guys to get familiar with the mechanic and he still dont get it.... im done, kicked
-
while i agree....people get stomped on for not saying as such lie or no lie....its a two way street.
