What is the big deal with people who are lying about having completed the raid and pretending to know what they are doing? I mean seriously if you haven't done a part of the raid before say it.. people will not bite your head off or look down on you, if you pretend you have done it before and you haven't you just make the raid harder for everyone who has. I'm guessing destiny has become elitist where only the good can complete a raid, seriously if you haven't done it before man up and say you don't know what your doing don't wing it! What i have always loved about destiny is people will sherpa and help you so speak up and don't drag your team down!!
Edit raiding tonight send me a message if you want to play

Had a squeaker swear up and down that he had completed the raid (was obvious to a blind man he hadnt) and we went along with it. Get oryx to 0% health and run to mid...."OMG HES NOT DEAD ZOMFG!!!!!!!"-Kid. We all busted out laughing as he looted his raid quest item and emblem.

7 OdpowiedziI've never done the Raid. No one wants to teach me.
-
When I do have to pick up a random (which is rare) I just tell them to have the emblem equipped if they claim to have completed the raid. If they're honest and admit that they haven't completed it we bring them along so they can learn the fights and pass on the knowledge. The people who claim to have beaten it and "conveniently" don't have the emblem on that character, well we just put them on the ignore list ;).
-
My team just picks someone from the lfg never completed raid part. That way everyone is aware of what to expect
-
I agree, post on the forums, want EXPERINCE but get noobies saying they've gotten to Oryx to almost zero health but never beaten and they don't even know about the blight detonation
-
Watch a raid video, get used to what needs to be done and a rough idea of it, then tell the team you've never done it but have researched it. Always worked for me

I was in a group with a little kid who made it very apparent that he just wanted to be carried. We got to war priest and me and him were on the right side together and he asks if I could stand on the glyph so I was like "sure." Then the raid leader says that he wants someone on the right side to call out the glyph order, so I was like, "so you are ok calling out the glyph order right?" "What? No! Why can't you do it?" "Because you wanted me to stand on the glyph, right? I can't do both." Oh! Uhhhhhh.... Can someone switch places with me?" Then later on death singers we are progressing through and he gets torn between dimensions. "Ahhhh! I don't want to do this!" "You don't get to choose! Come over here and start jumping!" We wipe because he takes too long to get the the right starting point. We did a few attempts on oryx but I ended up just leaving because at this point my patience was already wearing thin and I was tired of wiping because this guy couldn't pull his weight in killing ogres.

Not done kings fall but have 2 quest lines that require me too. Done vog and Crota and loved them.

Sometimes if you don't believe them ask them questions That's how I took a group of 290's all the way up to oryx
i just asked them to see if they understood and if I explained it right
-
Man.. This has been going on since VoG. If I'm the fireteam leader (which I am 99% of the time) I insta-kick kids who are obviously lying. If they were honest I'd keep them and explain what to do, but I don't have time for ppl dragging the fireteam down by refusing to admit they need help/instruction.
-
I've beaten the raid. Crota was easy.

What's a raid? Am I raiding now? MOM LOOK IM RAIDING!!!

I almost got kicked from a raid the second week it came out because I hadn't beaten Oryx yet, the second week! That is the state of the elitist pricks in this game. Luckily for me, my 3 friends in the raid group said if I was kicked they were leaving with me. Some people may have just gotten the game and are desperate to even get the opportunity to try. Week three I was the only person in my group who had completed any portion of the raid, did we wipe a lot? Yes. Was I frustrated? Yes. But I stuck it out and we completed it. Those guys were super grateful and I was grateful for the opportunity to help. Should people be lying? Maybe not, but they may have been kicked several times for not having completed it before and feel like they have no choice.

Some people will not and some people will.Personally I like playing with people that never Beating the raid because I've gotten to oryx 4 time ( it's not a lot I know beating him once ) and the people that haven't beaten him yet are willing to play to the end and those that beat him 1000 time alway leave. Let's not forget all those guy waited to see a YouTuber grind for hours and beat it and know when someone one is new to the raid they act all high and mighty. For the guardians who help new comers thank you we where all new comers once

3 OdpowiedziRan with a guy the other day who insisted he had done the raid before. We get to the totems... and he had no idea where he was supposed to be, or where he was supposed to go. Caused us to wipe like three times. One fireteam member forced him to shut up long enough to explain what was going on, and what we were doing. When it was over, his excuse? "Oh... MY teams ran it a different strategy. We left two people in the middle the whole time, and only had two run back and forth." (Yeah, if you've done Totems on KF... yeah). Of course, wouldn't you know it, his OTHER teams also used different strategies he wouldn't tell us about on both Warpriest and Golgoroth. Guy was seriously pissing everyone off, and for no reason; everyone was happy to explain things, he just didn't want to listen. Wish I'd reported him for being a bad player....

Dont worry just give it time for destinylfg.com to settle cause of the try hards and no lifers making the raid be hard as it is...such BS i beat the raid three times and one of my characters was a 290 warlock and i did 20xs better than the 305s+ we had in our fireteam plus i also i have ToM and he didnt lol and a 303 1000 yard stare dude i was busting good damage on all bosses....man if you play on xbox one pm sometime we do raid sometime...i dunno why Ldf.net became a asshole fest all of a sudden its gonna get worse when hard mode comes out
-
1 OdpowiedźI haven't done the raid yet. I've only gotten to the maze. :-(
-
If im on lfg and ask for people who have done it they need to have done it but if I'm with friends who haven't done it I help out
-
I love it when I'm on a schedule and I need a couple from LFG. I type YES I'm looking for experienced people for the raid and I get someone who says they have done it but you find out really quick they haven't. If your using LFG no one is required to teach you the whole raid, don't like the notes then don't join them. ITS NOT HARD.NO NEED TO LIE.
-
Though id rather have someone tell me if they havent done the raid i can understand why theyd be hesitant. Too many people are boot happy right now
-
I would rather know before we start wiping over and over again and then i get pissy because someone keeps failing and instead of thinking its your first raid i just assume your an idiot. However when ever i start a raid i always ask who hasnt finished the raid and if you havnt i just know to explain things to you at each step show you were the calcified fragments are and prep for a long night
-
Not all raiders are assholes. My fire team pulled a 290 with no clue how to do the raid through the entirety in under 1 hour
-
Well about 75% of the Destiny community is pure cyanide, so a lot of the time if you speak up you get kicked.
-
If they're under 298 Light, just ask them to put on the raid emblem. EZ-PZ
-
I'm always up front of my experience in any event that I'm playing with others (not match making ones). If they kick you, they kick. The tough thing is finding s group.
