Iron Banner Drops. False.
Our primary way of getting gear is now meant to be drops.
I am currently rank four Iron Banner. I have had two drops. One sidearm and one class item. Being rank four, I can buy three items. So surely my primary way of getting gear would be purchasing? I can't really see how this new system is working. In previous Iron Banner events I have many times received more than three items by rank 4.
Is is just me? Is RNGesus not loving me, or is this the case for others? I don't think others are doing so well either as I think I've only seen ~10 drops total.
Your thoughts/experiences please.
Edit: I don't want to be one of those "ZOMG all these replies" guys. I just want to thank all that have replied for reaffirming my original thoughts. I tried to reply to all but it's now 2am and I've got to get some sleep. Also, thanks for all of the positive replies, can't recall seeing any trolls. Community ftw.

I've been lucky I guess, 2 sidearms, 1 cloak, 1 primary , boots, and a ship. Hope my luck spreads to you all like a plague.

The only thing I've gotten is the warlock bond and I got it when I reached rank 5.

Rank 5 I've had one sidearm drop. Haven't seen any drops for anyone on all the teams I've played on.

I have had an engram drop for me, and that decrypted into a 264 light regular artifact. I bought the legs. I bought the class item. The old ship from "The Dark Below" finally dropped for me. I am rank 4, about 2000 points away from rank 5 I've also done all three weekly bounties. I remember 4 legendary IB drops for my team throughout this entire event. My verdict: It's exactly the same and Saldin is selling crappy light level gear/armor.

About 1000 points off rank 5, I've had the cloak. I've seen maybe 5 or 6 legendary pieces of gear drop the entire time. Not only would I say the drops aren't better than previous Banners, I'd actually say it's much worse. So something has gone wrong.

It all luck eng hates me i did get sidearm to drop i had to purchase bond and prob got purchase pulse rifle nothing else dropping not interested in banner boots either i would have to infuse to make it better i guess but i rather save my marks

2 OdpowiedziI got the ship after the match where I hit rank 5 (check my warlock). Thing is, it didn't drop as a match reward, it popped up when we went back to matchmaking along with the sidearm. As far as I am aware, there are no rewards for actually hitting rank 5 so not sure what happened.

I've gotten the same cloak twice and that is it...and I'm rank 4. Bungie. Explain how iron banner drops are our primary source is gear when me and everybody else are getting very low drops in iron banner. Please acknowledge and correct

Titan mark rk 2, sidearm and boots rk 3, pulse rifle rk 4 Can't really complain about the drops myself lol I'm still hoping for one with full auto though, would be a beast :)

Only 3 guaranteed pieces of gear per character and considering previous iron banners had us buying 4 or more, I see no problem with this suggestion.

Rank 4 everything dropped for me except the sidearm which I bought already.

1 OdpowiedźRank 4 and also got 2 drops, the sidearm and class item. I ended up just buying the legs myself. Don't really have a problem with it, jus would have liked it as a drop to get a potential better roll.

All the "work" and you can just get 4 different drops. Nobody plays side arm so Nobody is looking for this drop. Would be Great if you could get the helmet cause all those new Titan helmets except trials and IB Look shitty but nah they put boots in the First loot table.

100 ish rep from rank 5,one sidearm, one class item. Dude I was playing with hit rank three, got 3 class items and boots in consecutive matches. I think somebody put a decimal point in the wrong place for this reward system.

I may as well buy the shit. Which may I add works out worse than when it was Glimmer as Marks are harder to come by now.
