For SCIENCE! Farming Three of Coins. In Theory.
This is all [i]theory[/i].
1.)Go to court of oryx in dread patrol
2.)Use ONE ([b] x1 [/b])three of coin
3.)Defeat THREE to FOUR ([b] 3-4 [/b]) tier one bosses ONLY. Powering your buff.
4.)Venture off and patrol a taken corruption.
5.)Defeat a taken zealot/champion
6.)Collect loot, rinse wash repeat
What methods work best for you?

Killed 4 T1 bosses and Taken Champion a 3rd time and no exotic engram drop. Does not seem to be any increase at all vs. Strikes

Just letting you guys know, all of the tier 1 court of oryx bosses are only majors. I tested with fang of ir yut to see if the hive disruptor perk would work and it does. Sorry guys this method doesn't increase your chances. You would be better off killing the hive majors in the steppes if you saw an increase in drop rate.

It should be noted that the tier 3 court boss does use the buff up. So if you have extra 3oC you can do this all at the court

This is not repeatable. I've tested it as you describe, tested it with 10+ t1 bosses, tested it on ultra knight, tested it on killing 20+ majors, then an ultra. I noticed no discernible increase in 3oC drop rate. I'd say you are just extremely lucky.

6 OdpowiedziFunny how if it doesn't work the very first time, everyone gets super pissed. I've done it about 10-15 times and I got an exotic at least 6 of those 15 runs. Plus, court is a good way to farm for weapon parts and such.

5 Odpowiedzi3 of coins is almost useless to me with my luck. I just don't like the whole 15 minute bullshit. Could have just made them useable only in strikes.

I dunno. While this MAY work, I feel the effort needed to bump your odds is outweighed by the normal use of 3oC.

9 OdpowiedziAs much as I want it to work this does not. This is all conspiracy and theory. Sorry. Just did 4 reciprocal, killed knight ultra on dreadnought. Nothjng. Went back to orbit just in case and did that same thing again and nothing. Sorry doesn't work.

Tried it in Tier 1 boss's a couple of weeks ago and they didn't use the buff. Maybe tier 3 will idk.

11 OdpowiedziTried it doesn't work. I did 9 tier 1 bosses in a row then killed the ultra knight and got nothing. Went back used another coin did 3 more returned to orbit want back and killed the ultra knight nothing again.
