I'm not sure I understand Bungie's rewards for the PVP activities that take light into account. You probably want to be at least 290 light to be competitive in Iron Banner, and most likely Trials as well, but if you do well your rewards are all 280 from vendor, and still probably below where you already are if playing it in the first place. What's the point in that? You're literally going backwards in light level if you want to use the rewards that require a high light level to attain. Seems like a weird Catch-22 to me.
For everyone yelling INFUSION - that's not my point.
For everyone yelling "Because it's fun!!!" is also missing my point

Totally agree. Granted you can get up to 320 gear to drop. But only if you play for HOURS to hit rank 3. Then Play the same match overrr and overrr again allllll dayyyy in hopes of even getting something above 310 to drop. Thanks but no thanks, I'll just spend 15 min. and do the raids' challenge modes. after the 1st 3 challenges these past few weeks. I already hit 319 light with my Warlock(just need a 320 shell and i'll be maxed out) and 317-18 with my other 2 characters. I've matched up the iron banner weapons to the raid weapons by pressing start and hovering over thus said item and comparing them that way . All the raid weapons have higher impact and better perks lol.. Iron Banners' armor isn't anything special either. Just looks cool. The perks are the same as any legendary vanguard/crucible armor. But then again maybe some people enjoy the pvp grind. To each their own I guess. I just cant play the same 5-10 min. match 50+ times over with people getting pissed off/sending hate messages accusing you of cheating etc. in one sitting lol.

1 OdpowiedźTo be fair, Iron Banner gear should have been 290 Light level, but Bungie is attempting to make the game a little bit more compelling by making us grind more. Bungie better wake up and realize that they can potentially grind all of us away from their precious Destiny if they are not careful.......

Edytowany przez użytkownika Evilman520: 10/17/2015 2:48:57 AMI agree that the level ahould have been at least 290 or 300. However, you still cant deny that the weapons and armor this week will be great once you infuse them. The sidearm is a 3 shot headshot, with pretty damn impressive range since it's a Hakke. The pulse rifle barely even has any kick even just fresh out of the box. You really dont even need the Braced Frame, Perfect Balance alone should make it a laser. The boots have a really good new perk on them, as well. Even if we have to work a little more to get our IB gear up, i say it's worth the effort.
-
You have a valid point.. The pvp rewards are just redicilous. Why do i get one legendary per 20 match??
-
2 OdpowiedziLord Saladin should sell 300-310 weapons exclusively based on crucible IB rank that way we have something worth grinding for
-
2 OdpowiedziThis is what it should be: Iron Banner gear/weapons- 290-295 light Trials gear/weapons from brother Vance- 295-300. This would give the players with bad rng luck a better chance to compete in end game content without just giving gear away.
-
Well since legendaries fall from the sky in this expansion you should have plenty of marks for infuse. I think that is the shift in this expansion.
-
1 OdpowiedźTo stop people who are below the recommended light levels getting too much of a boost in stats. If IB and trials dropped 310 gear, it would bring a lot more underlevelled people into those arenas and cause headaches for the people who are the appropriate light level. It would degrade the competitive nature of those playlists.
-
Because I don't need to go up in light, I need better guns. Too many people are concerned with the attack values on weapons and not there stats. You say "Stop saying Infusion" but it's really that simple. I would take a 280 Fatebringer over a 310 Doctor Nope any day. Because I have the necessary materials to infuse it so it doesn't drop my light too much to play end game content.
-
310 adept items will drop once you reach the tower and open the chest. Read people, read before you post!!
-
The weapon rolls are immaculate. If you don't play competitively though, then I can't see you needing perfectly rolled weapons. And you would obviously infuse them up to 310 eventually
-
To prove yourself to admiral ironsalad.
-
What's the point? I don't know, maybe for fun??
-
Just wait till the next DLC. Then Bungie will say "Hey, remember those exotics and gear you got year one? Remember how they became useless? Then remember how they became useless again? Then remember when they yet again became useless? Well if you had fun grinding that many times for the same stuff, your going to love what we brought to the table with this next DLC!" They'll find a way to make you have to scrap all this stuff again anyway.
-
Non of the drops are even near to our levels. They drop below what you already have. And vendor should be selling 290 or better!! Why would I buy an item that's 280?? when I can get better dropps from heroic strikes?Even the legendary engrams are only 278 or lower
-
To prove yourself to the Iron Lords!

3 OdpowiedziBecause the gear given in IB is PVP oriented as to raid gear being PVE oriented
-
1 OdpowiedźThis Iron Banner is pointless, rewards suck and they barely even drop, everyone is abusing the shadowshot glitch, Sunbreakers abusing how overpowered their super is, lag every game, being forced to play the terrible new maps, being thrown into 5000 point deficit games... I'm quickly losing faith in Bungie's ability to provide a decent pvp experience. This is pathetic to say the least.

9 OdpowiedziSeems like they designed the Taken King to be just a grindfest. The whole point of iron banner and trials was the rewards, that was our incentives to even step foot in these playlists. Nobody would play them "for fun" when we have regular crucible for that. Now it's all about the grind. Low light level gear with shitty perks on them that you have to grind strikes and raids so you can get duplicates of items you already have for the purposes of infusing them in to the gear you already grinded to get. Now motes, strange coins, weapon parts, 3 of coins, nightfall drops have all been nerfed too. Xur doesn't even sell exotic shards anymore so you have to grind for exotic engrams just to dismantle them for shards so you can infuse the exotics you want to level or even buy one from a kiosk. Even quests are a grind. Sword quest? Shaxx weekly bounty questline? Please fix this game.

3 OdpowiedziBUMP IF YOU AGREE IRON BANNER IS NOW LIKE NIGHTFALL A BIG ASS GRIND FOR NOTHING hardly anything drops contrary to why Bungie said "only reason you'll have to buy stuff from Saladin is if you're extremely unlucky." There's just something about a "grind fest" which front sound fun or make me wanna play

Edytowany przez użytkownika a_heartless: 10/16/2015 3:59:29 PMI think you are missing the point of video games if you don't get why people would have a point to do it for fun.

I thought iron banner would be my only way to get 300+ items (blues) to infuse with since I have no desire to do raids. Boy was I mistaken! Rewards across the board from iron banner have been stupendously lacking in all departments. I always check the rewards my teammates get at the end and I have come to the conclusion there is no reason to do the iron banner anymore. HoW iron banners rewarded MUST HAVE etheric light. Since DLC.... Nightfall rewards not worth the time and effort. Iron banner rewards not worth the time and effort. My group of friends are now on just for crucible. With the recent changes and lackluster rewards, its starting to look like destiny has run its course. Like many games before it, the more they try to change/fix stuff.. they do more harm then good. Side note: Sunbreaker's are breaking the game. The only defense when hammer time is up... run away.
-
The drops are higher than what the store is selling. I had boots drop at around 300.
-
3 OdpowiedziPeople saying play it for fun ... I'm sorry this game isn't that fun, I play it so much but if you sit back and think in average session playing, how much is actually fun? How much stuff do you do to get something you want? I'm not expecting to get given drops all the time, but if we're honest, all the stuff we play isn't that fun, a lot of destiny is very very grindy and annoying ... It's the loot system that gets you hooked, like pack openings on Fifa etc ... It's just another form of gambling.

Edytowany przez użytkownika GreenD614: 10/16/2015 3:29:57 AMI get your point. You're required to be high level, you should get high level rewards. It makes sense. I got an IB cloak and it was 290. It's cool that it's 10 more above vendor, but not really considering my current cloak is 308. I'm really liking that the boots have new crucible/Iron Banner perks though. Definitely gonna try to infuse them for pvp. Got a perk that significantly increased weapon and movement speeds everytime you take a control point. The vendor ones have that but everytime you respawn. I'm not sure which one would be more useful though. The spawn in can be used in any mode, so probably those.

1 OdpowiedźI agree but if they do give out 300 plus light rewards it should be rng like the raid... Like the brother vance packages could have gear anywhere from 300-310 but the gun and armor he usually sells could be like 290 light for like 25 marks or what ever
