I REALLY don't want to get off on the wrong foot here, but -blam!- you! You've spent so much time in the past year nerfing the players and the game that you've forgotten what this is all about. For us its about pouring hours into something you love. For you it should be about keeping a dedicated fan base and EXPANDING it. With the last few updates you have...
Given us three of coins.
Nerfed it to hell (1:7 pre patch 1:11 after)
Introduced new ways to spend materials
Nerfed them to hell
Given us more strange coins
Taken them away
Given us more motes
Taken them away
Black spindle- hardest weapon to get ATM
NERFED
There are a ton of people defending the spindle nerf, saying it was a patch. But you tell me what it is, when they take something that has already dropped, is already in your inventory, and lower its attack damage. It's a nerf. If looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, its a duck.
I'll give you a business 101 class right now. If you want people to spend money on your product, it has to be appealing. You're NEVER going to get a new player base when you've made the grind such a daunting task. Your game has to have the right balance of reward. Right now...
nightfall... Useless
Banner gear... Useless
Trials gear... Useless
Even the new emotes are -blam!-ing useless. I can't customize my dpad to use more than one at a time... WHERE IS THE INCENTIVE?!
Your team is quickly throwing your game down the drain, and I don't know how long I'm gonna stick around and watch it.
So here's my advice to you.
Your newest DLC took away more content than it added. For a game that was supposedly built around repeatability, you've done absolutely NOTHING to make it worth spending our time on the old content. And i know a lot of people will say that that the industry standard for an mmo is when new content comes in, the old goes out. But lets be honest, destiny is an online FPS. NOT an mmo. The reason mmo's can do what they do? Their EXPANSIONS (NOT dlc's) are entire new games.
Bungie i implore you to Make VOG and CE viable again. Reinstate the NF buff and for gods sake, fix the damn rewards. Make banner and trials gear drop at 290 so its a viable raid level option for the pvp crowd.
If our "community managers" spent more time actually interacting with the community, they would get a better feel for what this game is lacking, where it should be fixed, and our input on the patches they intend to implement BEFORE they nerf the entire game into non existence.
I know you're not going to listen to this, you don't hear anything unless it's a cry for nerf. I guess I'm just beating a dead horse here
Edit:I removed the cursing so they have no excuse to remove this thread like they did my other one
I would strongly advise all guardians saying this game is not headed toward pay to win to really rummage around in here...
http://db.destinytracker.com/items/consumables/consumable
I hope I'm not speaking out of turn when I say the community as a whole would LOVE to have some sort of open dialogue about the direction and decisions made recently. You won't be met with attacks. Just an open honest q&a. I'm not an angry person, just concerned for this game. I'm very passionate about it and would like to see it live up to its full potential for the next 8 years.
If you agree with what I've posted please leave a bump so this can hopefully get bungies attention. If you have more to add or an opposing opinion please leave it as a comment. I'm more than happy to have a calm reasonable discussion about anything related to this topic. Don't get frustrated if I don't respond right away. Im off to work for a ten hour shift and can only reply on breaks, but I will try to respond to everyone.

Bump this up!

1 OdpowiedźI agree, it saddens me to see vog, Croatia, poey now redundant. The rewards are no longer relevant to make it a viable investment of time. I do think bungie need to resolve this asap. They are in such a hurry to get new content out they are not seeing the bigger picture until people start complaining. Surely there should be a team working on the games entire relevance as new dlc's/expansions are released? Sadly there doesn't seem to be.

1 OdpowiedźThe black spindle 'nerf' was a glitch. Lets say weapon A has 3 perks and weapon B has 4. It is confirmed a glitch to have 4. Later they reduce the amount of perks on weapon B to 4. Does it 'nerf' its ability? Yes Was it a glitch? Yes Now apply that to black spindle and ohhh it was a glitch ti be dropping at 310... More importantly though, I believe they have lowered all rep gains and xp gains in order to allow tess to sell the old rep gains on a weekly basis for x amount of silver.

7 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika Ryuuktsu: 10/15/2015 5:18:07 AMI don't know if I agree with everything that was pointed out, but somethings were true. Some bigger things were also missed. First let me address anyone saying this guy is completely wrong by saying, I don't understand how you can't see some of the major flaws that are created by some of the "balancing" Bungie tries to implement. Biggest example being this new Strange coin and Weapon parts nerf. I don't get a huge amount of Strange coins in the week and if you don't have many weapon parts to begin with then you likely wont ever have a huge amount, and now even less so. Nightfalls are for the most part useless now. I have seen a couple runs that gave my friends 3 strange coins... What kind of reward is that for a challenging event. I get that some of you want to do the Nightfall purely for fun, but how many times would you be willing to run it for "fun" without getting anything at all? It definitely gets repetitive after awhile. Let me share some of my views on the blatant problems with pvp. FIRST- Why do Stormcallers have a perk that allows them to get very short cooldown when they are near their allies on their supers? Is this so they can abuse it and use it every other minute to win the match? SECOND Why are there still sticky grenades that 1 shot you, and that will home onto your body so the user basically doesn't have to aim at you much? I don't remember such a thing being in Halo. I remember actually having to try and hit someone with a sticky, through aim and timing.THIRD Bungie why are you afraid to vigorously change weapons to bring some sort of actual balance in pvp instead of small changes across boards that just bring out different unbalances. I have killed and been killed by certain pulse rifles at medium ranges faster than a HEAVY MACHINE GUN can take some down....2-3 bursts to kill might have looked good on paper but it sure doesn't work in-game towards a balanced match Some pulse rifles do feel good, but there are quite a few who do more than a little to much damage. What annoys me quite a lot, and I know we as a community have been dealing with many changes to them for better or for worse, are shotguns. Why can't Bungie just make separate stats for PVP and PVE and completely rework how shotguns work in pvp. Even without shot package I can still be 1 shot by rangefinder across small room. Once again bringing up Bungies previous successful series Halo, I don't remember Shotguns ever being able to kill as far as the ones in Destiny do even now, but they were far from useless. I'm guessing the reason we don't have separate stats and all these other reworks is because Bungie is already under contract to put most of their workload towards Destiny 2 set to release fall 2016 as far as we know. Bungie should have known better than to take a contract like this when trying to keep such a massive first project step up-to-date. Some Auto rifles still feel underwhelming and unable to keep up with the damage of other guns, while others keep up just fine. Can we get some fine tuning of those few that aren't as good or are Bungie just to busy working on the next Unbalanced mess coming out for us to spend 60$ on. Do we all remember the fun hunt for the Sleeper we did trying to find out how to get it only for it to turn out to be a few tiny easy quests and a days wait to claim the gun. How bout is everyone aware how to get the Last Word re-skin called The First Cure? You do an easy quest, wait a week, do another easy quest... wait another week... then you get the gun which is quite underwhelming in performance in pvp actually. Oh and yes, you have to do 2 quests and wait for two weeks.... just wait and do nothing.. Are Bungie lazy now or are they truly to busy working on Destiny 2 to give this game much attention anymore? If they are to busy, then how do we expect the next few games to turn out if they are doing a new one every 2 years for a total of 4 games... So do we wait until the 4th game to see the effort that such a massive project deserves? I know there will be plenty who don't agree with what I said, but agree with this right now-> Bungie needs to become more active in our community, paying attention to what we say and actually giving us replies in the forums on a daily basis. They need to actively give us information on why they do or don't do things. I know a few large game studios that sit down and reply to people on their forums and do a live stream every single week were they explain why they change, add or don't do things and even answer some live questions. For a bordering on MMO game like Destiny, they absolutely need to start doing something similar to this or we will see suffer in the end.

Can someone bump this comment in the future when Tess starts selling strange coins
-
I've never had a huge problem with weapons or endgame being left behind for newer things, however... A better solution needs to be made. Also, as someone has played near 1000 hours since The Dark Below, doing everything this game has to offer, I agree. Bungie, be transparent and fix all of this. You had an entire year to experiment.
-
-
Want you need to understand is 'trial and error'. I'm the first to criticise Bungie but they should be allowed to put things out there and amend as necessary to prevent imbalance.

I play all the time, and i still agree with this.

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika B3ar: 10/15/2015 11:50:29 AMPeople keep mentioning the drop rates for raids. My experience 4 raids, 1 with hunter 3 with titan Titan: Chest Boots Helmet (helmet and shell dropped at Oryx when I had accumulated 20 shards) Machine gun Rocket Shotgun (Infused into 1000 yd stare) 2 scout rifles (One infused into tread upon stars, 2nd is 308) Auto rifle (Infused into hawkmoon) Hunter Cloak Hunter Gauntlets 3 ghost shells Idk from 4 raids I don't feel as if the drops are crap. I got way less from Vault of Glass

I'm ok with the loss of the Nightfall buff. I hated feeling like I had to do the nightfall right away or I was wasting xp opportunities. My solution would have been to give a bigger chunk of XP and faction rep upon completion. That's what Bungie should have done with that. I disagree that the 3 of coins have been nerfed. They have a time nerf to stop people from exploiting. I'm fine with that. I've still had great results. I'm fine microtransactions as long as they are not pay to win. You say IB, trials and nighfalls are useless. That's your opinion. I enjoy all of those. the nightfall, while not as rewarding as it has been in the past has been good enough for me to keep doing them. My suggestion to the OP. If you are this dissatisfied, find a game you like better and leave Destiny behind. For the life of me, I cannot understand why so many people just come to this forum to bitch and moan. I come here for useful info. I love the game. Clearly others do as well. Nothing is going to please everyone, that's why there are so many different types of games. Good luck in your search. My criticisms are limited. I hate that there are too many jumping puzzles on the Raid. I want to do a raid, not play super mario bros. 1 puzzle was fun and enough. The raid drops are terrible. For me, they have gotten worse the more I do the raid. The raid weapons in general suck. I have better options for all of them.

Edytowany przez użytkownika WhatHityou: 10/15/2015 11:58:32 AMI don't get why people are pissed about resource nerfs. Also the black spindle AND three of coins nerfs were totally warranted. Being huge exploitable progression steroids. Now lets talk about the abandoning old content thing. I'm not terribly happy about losing some of my old gear ether in fact I have an original iron banner mark I refuse to dismantle but abandoning old gear and some content has to an extent a purpose. For the same reason magic the gathering reprints cards. Some of the oldest gear in destiny already shows symptoms of potentially being the strongest gear possible when compared with the current power curve of the game. Cycling out gear and "reprinting" it is probably the fairest way to fix problem gear. On the content front I'm a tad more mixed, the only real abandoned content is the old raids and POE that wont drop new gear and have little incentive out of a casual crucible setting. If you bring them forward then you firstly have the issue of hardcore raiders feeling they NEED to do 3 full raids in a week on all alts possibly depending on the person. Then you need to upkeep the gear from it as well and keep it balanced in whatever new power curve you have. As far as solutions go this method IS the simplest. I however think that raids SHOULD be updated to the current standard with the absence of tranzmog or even better to allow specialized "race hunting" armor to finally get to a point where you can farm a set for each job. Since guns seem to be the issue just remove the guns from the updated version and make armor the main drops. With simple reworks to the talents if it's even needed. They could also potentially add a tranzmog system to incentivise players to go to old content. Also I would like to point out that this game is very much an mmo. Just because it's ALSO is a fps doesn't invalidate it as an MMO. It has all the core features of an mmo from questing, social interaction, cooperative content and team-play being present throughout the game.

Wow, some actual intelligent criticism... I like it!! Nightfall... Ok so we lost the 25% xp buff but damn the loot table is shocking and the worst thing is losing my flaming head... I want that back!! Currently Nightfalls are tough but the rewards are disappointing. Iron Banner... Is shocking, boots & a lousy pulse rifle to kick things off in year two! As a clan we were geared up & ready to roll Tuesday but when we see what was on offer that buzz quickly died! (I've not bothered with it and I normally lv5 all 3 characters!) Emotes... They didn't give me enough for the Carlton Dance... so I still have the 400 silver and will keep it. VoG/CE... Need to be leveled so they are still relevant... A Quest from the speaker should be added to complete each raid in a week or for some such. Rewarding shader/ghost/class items... I have over 100 raid completions and god knows how many more from C/P and you get nothing for it!
-
They should've left the spindle alone imo.. It was actually kind of challenging to get. I got a 310 defiance on my second raid run on the war priest or gorgoloth don't remember which one.. They're both easy as -blam!- anyway. 310 for the spindle was actually a cool reward for the effort put into getting it and it was not like you could get it everyday.. Bungeepls stop pissing people off :(

2 OdpowiedziI've been thinking, and my attitude over some of this may have colored my opinion...a lot. I'm starting to understand we as players are nothing. Bungie is a business and businesses make money, nothing wrong with that. However most businesses strive to keep customers, make them happy so they return and spend more. Seems like this concept has escaped Activision and Bungie. Instead its "get customers, get their $$, let them go and appeal to new base, rinse, repeat". I honestly think Bungie couldn't care one bit if we are happy. I think the changes we've seen bare that out. Who is happy with fewer weapons parts? Fewer coin, emotes? What logical reason was there to scale these down? What logical reason was there to bring Spindle down? Malice drops at 310, as does the sword. I think this is what we will see. Pay for your motes, coins. Neither are required to win, so they hold that line, but it appeals to newer players who won't know any better. Same for parts. I revisited the pay to win folks. I still don't think you will need to pay to win, but you'll pay to hit Xur, or quickly upgrade that weapon. Bungie knows we, as current players won't go for that. Sadly, they don't seem to care. Seems the attitude is that we can be replaced. I'd imagine this is all groundwork for the next iteration of Destiny. If they cared, they'd communicate. Period. There is no dialog between players and Bungie. There's a pittance of posts from Community Managers, but little back and forth...real dialog. It seems like its a "Our way or the highway" attitude. Nothing I've seen bares the "improvements" they trumpeted with 2.0. I don't see a smarter RNG, don't believe the raid drops are worth the effort (like Skolas), IB is a joke, and now these new changes. Sadly, soon, il be done. Just don't like the direction this is going. Even worse, Bungie knows there will be someone to take my place. Our will go on...and on.
-
Big fat BUMP!!! Pull your head out of your asses Bungie. You're way to precious about Destiny. How about adding some of the fun and sense of reward back into the game? Even with 3 DLCs, this game still doesn't have enough content to warrant its grindy, unfulfilling "end game repetitions" Stop nerfing guns and drop rates, and actually focus on making things fun and worth the effort thats put into them.
-
I really loved destiny. But all the hard work to get 3 FBs, 3 Gjallys, 3 BHs, 3 FVs, 3 IBs, and now everything is useless. The worst part of it all? I had to grind again, to be have "raidable" character. I was playng metal gear, till a week ago, then i jump back in. What a regret. The grind is there again. At least when Dark below and House of wolves where released, i didn't had to grind to do the endgame content.
