IB and Trials are right around the corner. But...
There's still so many people relying on their year 1 crutches in PvP? Tell me how your FWL (or any shotgun with Shotpackage) or messenger are going to fair come tuesday? Don't get so upset when u can no longer get easy kills. Prepare yourself now.
Edit. It seems that some people think equipping a year one weapon and only dropping their light level to 290+ will still do max damage. I am 99% positive that is incorrect. That 170 weapon will still hit like a 170 weapon even if your light level is almost 300. But I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

The majority of you got my point. (Select few should probably move out of your grandma's basement) But I'm with the people that say a 170 attack weapon will do damage as such. It doesn't matter if all your other gear is 310 and your total light level is 300. Recommended light for NF is 290. I can be a 290 with a Gally equipped. But that bitch hits like a BB gun because it's attack value is 170.. u can't magically raise your year one values based off your total light level. If I get killed by a 170 weapon tomorrow then I'll apologize.

Well I can equip a 170 light wep and still be 290 light so (If weapon values don't influence power) so it may still be worth using. However I'll be using by 310 hung jury and 1000 yard stare

The ib is with level or light advantage.so lets say i go to the ib with my 170 light radegast fury and felwinter lie with shot package, my light will drop from 300 to like 280 or less

im happy to see sniper shotguns FINALLY getting fixed...so many rely on max agility and a shotty with too much range,gonna be interesting to see if these unskilled players can adjust or just start dying a lot,thanks to bungie for mabye bringing some skill requirement to pvp

2 OdpowiedziThis topic is awesome. Most people running around with year one guns for pvp will get destroyed come ib and trials. Adapt to the new content or get left behind.

12 OdpowiedziOnly Y1 weapons I have left are those that I will be dismantling for the gunsmith quests for my alts. Once I get all my class specific guns the rest are toast. Too many good Y2 weapons to bother with Y1's that bring your light level down.

I felt the same way about Shadow Price back when auto rifles were the only thing usable in PvP. I kind of wish they would fix the old OP guns now that they are just a crutch. The shotpackage nerf to fellwinter's will do a lot... but there is still the messenger...

You can't seriously expect people to carry over what you see them using in regular old crucible. I hardly ever equip my best gear in Crucible because upgrading the latest weapons/gear I acquired. So when I break it down I get more glimmer/parts/marks. And I like to try the perks and new weapons, see what fees right. Maybe even more importantly, level advantages are disabled in regular old crucible. So if you're working through a quest, you can use whatever weapon you want, regardless of if its a year 1 green or a VOG legendary or a year 2 blue.

Ain't gonna work because you have a to low attack level. Light level is just the average level of your gear and weapons... If your weapons are low.. it aint going to do shit... even if you gear is high... because gear is only for defense
